“They came with a search warrant," softly spoke Samuel B. Fisher, a mild-mannered cattle farmer operating a 100-acre farm tucked away in Virginia's heartland. Fisher's bread-and-butter, Golden Valley Farms, carves out the scenic countryside that's a hop, skip, and a jump away from historic Farmville, a postcard-perfect small Southern town with classical Main Street charm. The father of five had graciously invited us down to his idyllic pasture to rehash the whirlwind of unforeseen events that unfolded over the cruel summer. It was a tumultuous time on the Fisher farm, an upheaval that threatened to upend the man's livelihood.

A super small market is opening in a little town near us. They’ll be selling locally grown meat and Amish raw milk and other local items. I drive 35 miles now to an actual butcher store so I’m ecstatic about this. God forbid we figure out they’re poisoning our food supply.

Don't tell me this happened in a state governor by Glenn Youngkin, the possible alternative to Trump. The man who turned Virginia red? Maybe Gov Youngkin can spend more of his time deregulating his state instead of focusing on promoting Virginia wines. Don't believe the hype about Youngkin.
The whole USDA meat inspection and the meat industry are all in cahoots with each other.

Funny, I went to college in Farmville and I had no idea there were Amish in the area. And, yeah, I'm wondering where Youngkin and Miyares are on this atrocity. Oh, I have no doubt the jack-booted thugs at VDAC involved in this are holdovers from the previous McAwful and Northam administrations, but still, Youngkin and crew need to get these goons under control before they damage his reputation.

Its actually quite easy to get around the State and federal laws, you sell cow shares. If you own a small part of a cow, its not illegal to process it on your own farm or purchase a drink the fresh milk. Lastly, you sell it for animal consuption only,(dogs and cats) after person purchases it, its up to them what they do with it.

The Department of Agriculture has driven most all the small custom butchering operations out of business with their overly strict meat inspection. The small town I grew up near had two butcher shops now they have zero. When the supply chain fails you will have to learn to butcher if you wish to eat meat.

Other than the lead sentence, "They came with a search warrant", it took the author takes five paragraphs to get to what happened and identify who "they" were.
Who does she think she writes for, "The Atlantic'"?

The government knows that WE know they are at war with us. They also know that we keep finding ways to skirt their depopulation/control agenda, such as buying food directly through small farms that are not part of the that agenda. They aim to shut down every avenue we have for self-sufficiency.

There is not a nickel's worth of difference between the atrocity being done to our people such as this farmer, J6 protesters, bakers refusing to bake cakes against their religion, Catholics, and yes, Donald J. Trump. It's very clear now, that our government despises its people and is in a full scale war against us. The government's big push to control our food supply is especially concerning. Control our food supply and also our water (as they have been doing for decades now) and we are done.
If election 2024 is stolen as was 2020, there will be no solution for turning back to a constitutional republic from this burgeoning totalitarian government.

Just another method to stop the supply of meat in the quest to eliminate CO2. The big processors know how to negotiate through the Fed system, but they can't have small processors continuing to operate, so they shut them down.

If you go hunting in Virginia and kill a deer do you have to take it to an official government approved butcher or can you do it for yourself? A state that make radar detectors illegal is not much on freedom.

USDA is a federal program. Doubt that Youngkin can do anything about it.
Get the feds out of our state business!

We are very familiar with this wonderful farmer’s business model, his club because Mennonite and Amish near us have done it small scale for years. A good friend retired to near Seymour, MO and she told us very recently that yes Amish rules ignoring “rules” is normally no problem for state and local authorities. They are getting nervous though because they wonder if that is going to end.
