Brett Baier is not qualified to moderate the Republican debate on August 23 in Milwaukee. Mr. Baier had a much-publicised interview with President Trump a month ago. This interview amply demonstrated Baier’s antipathy towards the President. Most of the time he appeared to be cordial towards the President, however, when Trump brought up the topic of the stolen election, Baier became abusively hostile and interrupted his guest incessantly and would not let the President talk.
Right after the election the charges of fraud surfaced, and at every opportunity, the Republicans were asked by the media and Democrats if the election was stolen

Why debate? Baier already called the 2024 election for Biden.

Totally agree with the author but I’m afraid Baier is in.

Donald Trump doesn't need to attend any of these debates. We already know his record from his first term. Let the others talk on and on about "What I will do...."

Baier is a Democrat and is extremely anti-Trump. That tells you where the Fox News Channel is politically these days!

A heavily biased partisan. I cannot stand to see/hear him. Ditto Martha MadCallum who has to have Kamala-ed her way up the Fox organization.

Baier is a living example of the Peter Principle. Also, I'll always think of him as the Pillsbury Doughboy-cub reporter who failed to view the jury verdict in the OJ Simpson civil case, when it was held up to the window for the press to see.

Wouldn't that be nice. This lefty dog is about the last person who should be on anything Republican. Just watch when he has dems on, he kisses their rear ends, flatters them and never asks a difficult question. Actually, I don't like Martha either She is a phony and a dem.

The last thing anyone wants to see is another debate between moderator and candidate. It doesn’t help anyone. It merely creates cringe-worthy TV.

Brett Baier and Britt Hume two who I used to watch and thought they were fair and balanced. Haven't watched them in years. Both are turn coat rino's and while they sit upon their high perches elections are being stolen every year and 2024 will be no different.

Does anyone here really believe that Brett Baier can dominate and diminish Donald Trump? I certainly don’t. Trump will perform very well no matter the debate moderator. As for whether Trump will show up, I expect he will.
These debates, no matter how lame, are for the voters not for the candidates only. Trump is surely on track to win the nomination. He is not on track to win the election. The audience for the debates will include those who can be persuaded to vote for Trump in the general. Those voters are key to his victory. They will be watching the debates.

A few weeks back it was reported that PDT had dinner with Fox execs because they want him in the “debate”. I hope PDT is trolling Fox by saying he’s undecided. He knows Fox hates him. Screw them. I hope he has an alternate event planned that will such the air out the Fox studio. Who wants to watch a bunch of losers and has beens anyway?

It won't matter who moderates it. Without Trump, it will lose in ratings to MeTV reruns of "Hogan's Heroes".
Which is precisely why he isn't going. Why help out "Team Nebbish" by drawing viewers to them?

I do not like bull dog Baier, and will not watch him under any circumstances. The man sinks his teeth in, and will not let go, not matter how wrong he is.

Agree with last paragraph. Bring back Tucker for the debate. His questions would quickly separate the men from the boys (if we can still use that phrase).

Didn’t I read today that Pres Trump won’t sign the pledge so he is NOT debating? He said…stay tuned for what he is doing I believe.

So many posters say they don’t watch Fox anymore, so I guess you’ve missed Trump being interviewed by just about everyone on Fox. You have to know he gives as good as he gets, so he certainly shouldn’t be worried about a debate. If Fox is not fair, maybe Morning Joe and his lovely bride can moderate a debate. I thought one of the rules was the candidates have to pledge supporting whoever gets the nomination and Trump isn’t doing that, so problem solved, no one has to worry about Baier. BTW, I didn’t know W was in charge of Fox and could tell them who should have a job there.

Baier and MacCallum. They might as well have MSNBC moderate it.
