Israeli President Isaac Herzog gave a thinly veiled rebuke to members of the House of Representatives for their attacks on Israel during his speech Wednesday at a joint session of Congress. Herzog did not name names, but he referenced criticism of Israel from House members. More than one progressive Democrat recently vilified the Jewish state in public statements.
"Mr. Speaker, I am not oblivious to criticism among friends, including some expressed by respected members of this House. I respect criticism, especially from friends, although one does not always have to accept it," Herzog said.
"But criticism of Israel must not cross the line into negation of the State of Israel’s right to

Wow, big news broke Tuesday – President Biden’s campaign is officially going to be headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. For months nervous Democrats have wondered why Biden only had four full-time staffers devoted to his reelection effort and why the campaign wasn’t yet located anywhere.
This development will do absolutely nothing, however, to stop the panic within the party that Biden is too old to run for reelection and could easily lose to former President Donald Trump. Sorry, Team Biden, these fears will not be put to rest; they are going to persist and grow.

Assume you are the attorney general of the United States and have a devilish desire to persuade as many Americans as possible that they should not trust their government. How would you do that? If your name is Merrick Garland, the answer is a two-fold plan of attack.
On one hand, you give the corrupt son of your boss every possible break, bend the rules to protect him and hand him a get-out-of-jail-free pass.
The sweetheart deal also serves another purpose.
Because you definitely don’t want anyone to know to what extent your boss was involved in the family’s influence-peddling schemes, the son’s guilty plea to fairly minor crimes slams the door

The number of Russian deserters is rising. Thousands of men continue escaping the country, desperate to avoid military service. DW spoke to two of them. Nikita glances around, afraid he might get caught. The young Russian has drawn his hood deep over his face and is wearing is an inconspicuous outfit. Nikita, which is not his real name, has spent the last few months living in Georgia's capital, Tbilisi.
Nikita was studying in the Russian capital Moscow until February. He'd signed a contract with the Russian army, which said the defense ministry would pay for his degree and ensure he had got a place

Are Democrats forfeiting the 2024 election?
In the Republican Party, Donald Trump has plenty of critics who say he can't win next year.
To test that hypothesis, a strong slate of candidates is running as an alternative to him.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott, former governors Nikki Haley and Chris Christie and the rest have their chance to convince voters they can do better.
So far, polls show Republicans sticking with Trump -- and show Trump with a fair chance of beating Biden.
In national surveys where he trails, Trump is often behind by just a point or two, but national polls actually underestimated Trump's support

Warning: If you believe the economy is hunky-dory, please skip this article.
Bidenomics is a complete and utter failure that has led to stagflation in the United States. No amount of sugarcoating can hide the truth. Americans are struggling with high prices. You need $1,000 in earnings today to buy what $862 could buy when Biden took office. Alternatively, if you needed $50K yearly for household expenses before Biden took office, you now need $58K.

Joe Biden is a walking dead man, politically. His approval ratings are in the tank, and a stunning 72 percent of Americans think the country is on the “wrong track,” according to a recent survey. Biden’s cognitive decline is embarrassingly obvious. He is already 80 years old — the oldest president the country has ever had. He would be 86 at the end of a second term, assuming he lived that long, which troubles even his supporters.
On top of all of this, he is surrounded by the stench of corruption: House Republican investigators say they have evidence that Biden and his family received $10 million (possibly many millions more)

The House Judiciary Committee is investigating why the FBI subpoenaed the emails of leading Republican congressional staff members.
In his most recent appearance before Congress, FBI Director Christopher Wray refused to provide any new information on various scandals but seemed eager to assign past abuses to his predecessor, James Comey. But the dates on these subpoenas do not support Wray’s use of Comey as the department’s sin eater.
Wray’s efforts to portray himself as in the dark on many scandals while insisting he is a hands-on administrator cuts against . . . well . . . both Wrays.

Of all the excuses offered by the Secret Service to explain why it shut down the White House cocaine investigation last week after just 11 days, one jumped out as particularly ridiculous.
It couldn’t conduct interviews of potential cokeheads known to be in the vicinity of where the bag of drugs was found because it didn’t want to infringe on their civil rights, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told NBC. “We have no evidence to approach them,” he said of 500 possible suspects identified in the area on the holiday weekend before July 4.

President Biden’s current ambassador to the European Union offered advice to Hunter Biden in 2016 on a Romanian "client" who was on trial for corruption at the time, according to emails reviewed by Fox News Digital. Mark Gitenstein, who was appointed as U.S. ambassador to the EU by Biden in July 2021 and helped spearhead Biden's transition team after the 2020 election, is the president’s longtime friend and confidante of several decades who served under him in the Senate for over a decade and was the U.S. ambassador in Romania during the Obama-Biden administration from 2009 to 2012.

The vice president of a Los Angeles police union encouraged officers to ditch the city and find work elsewhere during unsuccessful salary negotiations with the city. Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) Vice President Jerretta Sandoz made the statement in a comment from her personal Facebook page as the negotiations were being handled in late June. Sandoz wrote in the now-deleted statement that the L.A. City Council was stacked against police.
"Go somewhere that respects the work you do and you don’t have to beg for a great contract," she wrote, according to a screenshot of the comment posted last month and now obtained by the Los Angeles Times.

"The View" co-host Ana Navarro unloaded on a potential third-party run in 2024 on Monday and argued that it was the "stupidest thing ever" because of Donald Trump's candidacy. The hosts played a clip of Joe Lieberman saying that the centrist No Labels party did not intend to be "spoilers" and that they wouldn't get involved if polling showed that their efforts would end up helping either Trump or President Biden.
"This is dangerous because let’s just put things in context. This is not a normal thing. This is not Bill Clinton versus George Herbert Walker Bush with Ross Perot playing spoiler. No. This is Donald Trump.
