Jen Rubin spews tripe about Florida, forcing
the WaPo to issue an embarrassing correction

Talk about stupid. Jennifer Rubin wrote a column in the Washington Post, absurdly claiming that Florida was so badly run and so "cruel" its residents were fleeing, basing her entire article on this errant premise, and forcing the Washington Post to issue an embarrassing correction. According to Fox News: Rubin published the column Friday in which she claimed, "DeSantis likes to brag that more people are moving to Florida than ever. Not so fast. ‘An estimated 674,740 people reported that their permanent address changed from Florida to another state in 2021.’" Those numbers are wrong and the Post, in a correction on Saturday, admitting the column "mischaracterized" the stats.

Jen Rubin is an idiot.. that is an indisputable fact and has been for years. But this is just one more instance of a total lack of real journalistic education, research, and in the end integrity that has sadly become the norm in that "profession." Most of my family lives in Florida and they just love Gov DeSantis and what he has done. I think the numbers don't lie. Conservative deep Red states are just getting more people and more business.

What do most journalists actually know, especially when reporting on technical issues? Most are like actors - they are repeating someone else words. The believe "experts" because they have no knowledge of the subject matter and no desire to research data.. I see too much of that in the reporting on climate I believe it was David Brock in the O's admin who said many reporters, especially the young, are starstruck and lazy and will believe and report anything you tell them.

I recall that Jennifer Rubin was a speechwriter for President Reagan, a long, long time ago. In more recent years, she has been going farther and farther Left/Communist. I think she's been drinking that D.C. water all these years, and it has warped her brain.

In a Saturday phone call, Seraphin is looking to correct the record after Rep. Jackson Lee “inarticulately stated” that he is looking to compensate fellow whistleblowers from the widely criticized Federal Bureau of Investigation as part of a “quid pro quo” arrangement. “She’s not intelligent,” Seraphin states bluntly. Jackson’s attacks on Seraphin and the other FBI whistleblowers came during a Wednesday hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blamed the “American right-wing” for Canadian Muslims’ opposition to gender ideology and LGBTQ curriculum in K-12 education. The video was of Trudeau speaking with the Muslim community last week at a Calgary mosque – Baitun Nur Mosque – after hundreds of protesters rallied against gender ideology in schools, chanting “Leave our kids alone.” The frustration reached a boiling point after audio surfaced of an Edmonton Public Schools teacher berating Muslim students (Snip) Edward Ahmed Mitchell, the national deputy director at CAIR, said, it was time for “liberal commentators” like MSNBC’s Psaki “to accept that Muslim parents are independent, intelligent people speaking for themselves.”

Barack Obama released a rare public letter denouncing the “profoundly misguided” attempts to ban books in libraries across the country. “Today, some of the books that shaped my life – and the lives of so many others – are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives. It’s no coincidence that these ‘banned books’ are often written by or feature people of color, indigenous people, and members of the LGBTQ+ community,” the former president wrote. Obama’s comments come amid a wave of parent concern over the addition of highly sexualized content to public-school libraries. Much of the concern has focused on the book Gender Queer

For those of us who have been trying to awaken people to the true nature of Republicans in the senate, aka “the Decepticons”, the latest self-admissions are very welcome. According to interviews conducted by The Hill, several republican senators are now saying they just cannot be members of the republican party if they are forced to represent the interests of the base voter. These very specifically named republicans have always been members of the UniParty in DC; however, now they are saying “populism” amid the commonsense, America-First voting base is not going to be acceptable.

Recently, Arizona Republican Eli Crane was rebuked for referring to “people of color” as “colored people.” That’s a controversy which would, at any other time in the history of the English language, be incomprehensible to a sensible reader. After all, there’s no practical difference in the phrases. In fact, the choice to give preference to the phrase “people of color” is worse than practically useless to an English speaker -- it’s needlessly more burdensome to both the talker and the listener. Consider this formula with any other trait. Would you refer to yourself as a “person of dark hair,” or a “dark-haired person?”

I mean, I wouldn’t have put a guy like Bill Barr, and he was weak and pathetic. I wouldn’t have put Jeff Sessions. And there are some people that I wouldn’t have put in. You know, most people were good, but I had some people,

Despite repeated warnings over a decade, the steady stream of email traffic to the .ML domain, the country identifier for Mali, continues to be the result of people mistyping .MIL, the suffix for all US military email addresses.

White House spokesman John Kirby on Tuesday argued it is a “foundational sacred obligation” for military leaders to provide troops and their family members with access to abortion. During a White House briefing on Tuesday, a reporter asked Kirby if the Biden administration’s policy of paying for troops and their family members to travel out of state for abortion is “critical” for military readiness.Kirby responded that since the U.S. military comprised of volunteers, it was a “foundational, sacred obligation” to provide them and their family members with paid travel and time off to get abortions if they were based in states where it is restricted.
