From the interview it is clear that Ron DeSantis handlers have spent a considerable amount of time in intensive training on scripted talking points. Additionally, based on what is visible in the body language of DeSantis he’s juiced. Watch how DeSantis is fidgeting with the microphone when Tucker is talking. Watch how DeSantis takes a drink of water. Look at the exaggerated mannerisms that are highlighted by a seemingly high-energy state. Also notice DeSantis never answers a question, but sticks to rehearsed points. Not a single question is answered, despite Carlson asking specifics on Ukraine three times. WATCH:

I liked him a lot better a year or two ago, when he was DeSantis. Now he's becoming just another created hack with only the opinions they tell him to have. Sad. I had high hopes.

First a disclaimer: I've lived in FL for 20 years and DeS has been the best Gov in my time, so I'm inclined to support him. I'd prefer DJT, but we have to look for the best man (or woman) to beat anyone the Commiecrats run. Sundance and I disagree on DeS right now, but we have a year for either of us of to change our minds. A Dark Horse may yet appear.

Sure. Sundance could be correct that DeSantis displayed "high energy" but neither Sundance nor anyone else knows WHY he was so pumped up. I don't agree with the implication that there's something sinister about a candidate who is well-prepared, enthusiastic, and passionate. Maybe DeSantis was just literally thrilled to have an opportunity for a serious interview with Carlson. What's wrong with that?

The Reviews I've read, of this Interview, have all been high praise for Gov. DeSantis. No Prompter! The Governor knows his stuff. He lives and breathes information! And it is just plain Nasty for Sundance to suggest this Good Man had "juiced" on some kind of illegal Drugs! But I wouldn't expect anything else from him as he seems to want to drag the Governor into the Mud. I don't think Gov. DeSantis is interested in playing his game! This Interview Shows a man who is definitely qualified to be President!

I don't support the DeSantis I think he did a pretty decent job in this interview. Yes he gave some swarmy answers, but he also gave some very good ones also.

I have not watched it yet except with the sound off. He did seem rather hyper. Those who listened have reported that he did not answer many questions, opting instead to give prepared speeches.

Very first lines of the commentary: “ From the interview it is clear that Ron DeSantis handlers have spent a considerable amount of time in intensive training on scripted talking points. Additionally, based on what is visible in the body language of DeSantis he’s juiced.” The logical conclusion from those sentences is that the “juice” is his excitement over being anxious to share those well rehearsed “scripted talking points” on Tucker Carlson’s platform. IOW, high on his “intensive training “. The thought of an implication that DeSantis was high on “illegal Drugs” never entered my mind until I read it by a poster here. I recently had a similar twisting of my words by this same poster in a comment about DeSantis here. I know the poster is very supportive of DeSantis. It was such a far-fetched lack of understanding of what I had written that I laid it off to that fervent support & overlooking the meaning, or perhaps a lack of reader comprehension at the time. But, I’m beginning to think it isn’t ignorance of what has been said. It may be simply a deliberate twisting of meanings to try and influence others.

To #9’s impression: he is unclear here but if you follow him on twitter you see his second comment about this: ‘IMHO DeSantis was juiced (likely used Casey's script). However, unlike her he is not a frequent user. If you have ever been around a person who takes adderall (or similar), but is not used to it... ‘ Quite an accusation.

Who won the Republican blow-out interview lalapalooza with Tucker Carlson in Iowa Friday night? Besides Tucker himself—who was on the Q side of this extended Q & A—the participants were South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. (snip) Who among that gang of six won? It’s probably easier to start with the loser, chief among whom was Mike Pence, who might just as well have used the occasion to perform an act of self-immolation.

Senator Tim Scott was one of the original attendees at the first Sea Island confab that was assembled to evaluate the risk represented by candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Republican political leadership, corporate officers, Wall Street hedge fund managers, Big Tech and a host of multinational interests attended the first meeting. During that early 2016 meeting, the groundwork to oppose the America-First agenda was established. The entire group then continued to take action throughout 2016 and into the administration of President Trump to mitigate his attack upon the ‘one world order’ globalist alliance they supported. The supporters of former President Trump are absolutely correct about one thing. If every single Republican pledged their allegiance to him and fell in line he’d win the nomination easily. But he’d also lose the general election, again. He does not receive enough support from outside the traditional Republican and MAGA base to win in 2024. Hillary Clinton beat Trump by roughly 3 million in the popular vote in 2016. While Trump indeed did win the election by taking the required 270 electoral votes, just a few thousand votes in each of the key swing states would have changed that outcome into a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.
