Homeless encampments are back in Venice Beach - after nearly 200 people were cleared from the iconic boardwalk last summer.
Almost a year later, footage from the Los Angeles town show dozens of tents back up, and some 120 vagrants overtaking the beach once again.
Residents are now complaining about a renewed stream of garbage littering the promenade, as well as elaborate processions erected by individuals camping outside. For residents of the area, the issue is a recurring one - after the pandemic presented a plethora of challenges including several still-prevailing housing crisis.

But Slick Newsom is on the short list for '24? California is in free fall. I asked an old Navy buddy why he hadn't left yet and he said, "I know, I missed the first wave." G'head and run Slick. Photos of his $#ithole state will be shown 24/7. Remember when Slick said (about illegals entering California), "All are welcome." Yeah, I remember. And now he wants to give them benefits....

Get large scoop loaders, scoop/scrape them up from the sidewalks and streets and parks and like "Soylent Green" make pet food out of them and feed it to the animals. Or load them into C5A Galaxy's, fly them out over the oceans, drop the tail ramp, assume a high degree of up angle and drop them into the ocean for fish and shark food. Rinse and repeat until they're all gone. End of problem.

The L.A. city gvt. is entirely to blame for this-sanctuary city policies, kid-gloves treatment of felons, entertaining the idea of reparations....it will get a lot worse before it gets better. But I hope this is a lesson that L.A. never forgets.

I cannot even imagine the frustration of paying those obscene taxes, putting up with the draconian restrictions on everyday life, and the forced acceptance of everything sick and mentally ill, only to have to endure all the illegal aliens, drug addicts and bums also.
Please keep them there.

Residents complain and yet they time after time elect their worst enemies into positions of power over themselves, namely the communist death democrats. Zero sympathy for these brain dead idiots. Enjoy the hell on earth you created by your suicide by voting.

Just think what all the money we send over seas and provide illegal aliens could do for our own. The corruption, diversion, and misuse of our tax dollars tyrannical taxation without representation. If we just had the balls of our american ancestors we could right the destruction brought upon us by the communists.

You try that chit in my Texas neighborhood there will be daily overnight FIRES. Nothing much in a shopping cart or tent that won't burn. Call the fire Department. Then move out of town.

Having lived in nearby Santa Monica in the late 70s and early 80s, Venice Beach has been a vagrant paradise for over 45 years. It has yet to hit bottom, if there is a bottom.

The “iconic” Venice Beach boardwalk was long a pretty tacky place. And the homeless, the drugged up did tend to congregate there to sleep it off. A haven for the artsy liberals, no one really seemed to mind until celebrites tired of the Hollywood Hills and fond they could buy old beach cottages along the walkways and turn them into luxe beach houses. Even the First Druggie Hunter showed up and leased one of those. Former lib LA Mayor Eric Garfcetti vowed to “do something” which probably amountef to pocketing a lot of kickback cash from developers who have done nothing… And it’s not about building stuff as that, with the agreeable climate, will just bring more. And some jjust like the life, livng rough with their street buddies, dogs, bikes and shopping carts full of stuff. They don’t want rules, no stuff, sober living, in a room somewhere.

Venice Beach was an unattractive hippieville well before the homeless bums showed up.

As in Gone With the Wind, "I got to go to a political meeting.". Those in Venice and Venice Beach better start having some meetings.

I seem to remember that years ago, some genius in CA's government decided to send checks to the homeless with no strings attached. If you want more of something, subsidize it.
