Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told independent show host Tucker Carlson that “pervasive censorship in this country” caused the January 6, 2021, Capitol Riot.
Ramaswamy sat down with Carlson for Blaze Media’s” The Summit Friday” where the pair discussed important policy issues including the often explosive topic of January 6. “You want to know what caused January 6, it’s pervasive censorship in this country in the lead up to January 6,” Ramaswamy said. “You tell people in this country they cannot speak, that is when they scream. You tell people they cannot scream, that is when they tear things down.”
The pair noted that the protest turned riot has been

as has been stated before - popular speech does not need to be defended. The 1st amendment defends unpopular speech. free speech slows me to identify friends and foes. free speech allows alternative viewpoints.
there is nothing in the Constitution defining any right not to be offended.

He's not wrong. Every patriotic red blooded American was furious by the time that 1/6/21 had rolled around. We couldn't get a hearing, let alone a fair hearing and were universally shut down, silenced, censored, cancelled, deplatformed and demonetized.

Tucker needs to grill Ramaswamy in depth about his connections in the past with George Soros & son.

In a free country Vivek is free to think and say whatever he wants.
But, know this through and through.
It's wasn't the censorship.
It was the subjects that were censored.
And, they are still important today.
Tyranny has consequences.

He’s on to something. Our system is supposed to resolve political conflict peacefully through free speech, the open exchange of ideas followed by free and fair elections. Taking these away doesn’t make the conflicts go away, it just eliminates the peaceful resolution of them. 2020 in a nutshell.

I agree #7. What I saw on J6 were people standing in front of the Capitol singing, praying and there were others being stirred up by Anti-Fa (they were there), Feds, Fed Assets, Ray Epps and his crowd urging young men, others to go into the Capitol.
But no riot Vivek! Stop saying that!

There were capital police firing flashbangs into peaceful crowds causing multiple heart attacks. There were capital police beating a woman to death . There was a capital police who shot and killed an unarmed veteran. Those were some of the crimes that day. There was no riot.

I'm weary of Vivek. He said he would abolish the FBI, ATF, and several other departments. Those need to cleaned up, deep state Obama put in place removed, not done away with. So, I question his common sense.

Vivek still claiming that there was a riot on Jan6 is why I refuse to vote for him at all, either primary or general. He is too easily led and manipulated to be trusted.
