Sound of Freedom is once again shocking the box office with expectations of reaching nearly $23 million in its second weekend in theaters.
The film grossed more than $7 million on Friday, putting it on pace to finish the weekend with $81 million and to break $100 million in gross receipts, according to box office reports. A federal judge in Oregon ruled on Friday that a new state gun law does not violate the US Constitution, keeping one of the toughest gun laws in the country in place.
US District Court Judge Karin Immergut ruled that Ballot Measure 114âs restrictions on large-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds are constitutional because these magazines are ânot commonly used for self-defense, and are therefore not protected by the Second Amendment.â
âEven if LCMs are protected by the Second Amendment, BM 114âs restrictions are consistent with this Nationâs history and tradition of regulating uniquely dangerous features of weapons and firearms to protect public safety,â the ruling said.

Weâve seen how companies like Bud Light and Target have taken a severe hit for the various ways in which they have bought into the woke mind virus. Bud Light has now even been hit by the Costco âDeath Star,â which means theyâre in deep trouble.
Speaking of trouble, letâs look at Disney.
A week ago, I wrote about how Disney had lost almost a billion dollars by going woke on some of their recent films. Megyn Kelly laid out some of that evidence showing that weâre winning against the woke when it comes to Disney, too. She explained how they lost about $900 million

Longshot Democratic presidential candidate and conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Saturday morning disputed a report that quoted him saying Covid-19 was âtargeted to attack Caucasians and Black peopleâ and that Jewish people are most immune.
In a report by the New York Post titled âRFK Jr. says COVID was âethnically targetedâ to spare Jews,â video appears to show Kennedy speaking at a dinner in Manhattan. In a discussion on bioweapons and âethnically targeted microbes,â Kennedy claimed that âCovid-19 attacks certain races disproportionately.â
âCovid-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese,â he said, according to the video

In mid-February, we reported that Fulton County (Georgia) Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ordered a limited release of excerpts from a special grand juryâs report on former President Donald Trump and his associatesâ alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia:
The probeâs objective was to look into Trumpâs alleged attempts to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election in the Peach State. The report was scant on details, but in one section, jurors expressed concerns over perjury on the part of some of the witnesses.
Later that month, Bonchie wrote about Emily Kohrs, a member of that special grand jury, giving interviews to NBC News and CNN.

Iowa was, for a long time, a political swing state. Speaking as one who grew up there and lived there until my 26th year, and most of whose family still lives in Iowa, I can say with some confidence that Iowa is a place of great momentum. In small towns and rural areas like the one I grew up in, not much changes from generation to generation. Not industries, not farming practices, not families. But Iowa is an important state politically, mostly due to its status as the opening bell for presidential primaries. Note Tucker Carlsonâs recent series of interviews with various GOP POTUS candidates â in Iowa.

Four in ten donations to presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamyâs campaign are âfirst-ever donors to the GOP in any form,â the presidential hopeful announced on Friday.
In a video posted to social media, Ramaswamy announced that his campaign crossed the 65,000 unique donor threshold this week. He noted that this means he easily qualifies for the first Republican National Committee (RNC) debate given that the donor threshold is 40,000.
âThe second thing thatâs pretty cool is that we got over 1,000 unique supporters signing up for the Kitchen Cabinet program, which I think is pretty phenomenal within a few days of launching,â he said of his program, predicting it could

Tucker Carlson interviewed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Friday at the Family Leadership Summit forum in Iowa, which is showcasing all the top 2024 Republican presidential candidates except front-runner and former president Donald Trump.
Tucker got the ball rolling by asking DeSantis if he would favor legislation banning abortions after the sixth week of pregnancy, similar to the law he recently signed in his own state:
Iâm proud to be a pro-life governor, and I will be a pro-life president, and of course, I want to sign pro-life legislationâŚ

Another day, another example of Disneyâs substituting a political message for creativity.
This example is from The Daily Mail, which puts a bit more meat on the bone regarding the already controversial live-action remake of âSnow White and the 7 Dwarves.â
The earlier controversy stems from Disneyâs self-conscious hire of a Latina actress to play Snow Whiteâan example of the fact that race-swapping is perfectly acceptable when doing so displaces a White actor, but âcultural appropriationâ when a White actor plays a non-White character.
I found the earlier controversy to be an example of the tedious character of these racial debates because sometimes it mattersârace swapping in JRR Tolkien stories makes no senseâwhile

During an interview with Tucker Carlson on Friday, former vice president Mike Pence defended his view that the U.S. can both support Ukraineâs efforts to repel the Russian invasion and solve the many domestic problems plaguing the country.
During the interview at the FAMiLY Leadership Summit in Iowa, Pence criticized President Biden for signaling âincredible weaknessâ abroad on the Ukrainian conflict and on the United Statesâ âdisastrousâ withdrawal from Afghanistan. He accused the Biden administration of being âslow in providing military supportâ to the Ukrainians.

The Biden administration announced Friday that it would forgive $39 billion in student loans for 804,000 borrowers, explaining it had pursued certain fixes to existing income-driven-repayment plans.
âFor far too long, borrowers fell through the cracks of a broken system that failed to keep accurate track of their progress towards forgiveness,â Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a written statement.
These income-driven plans set a forgiveness threshold of 20 or 25 years. Borrowers must make payments that qualify over this period â payments that can be as low as $0 based on an individualâs income and family situation.
âBy fixing past administrative failures, we are ensuring everyone gets the forgiveness they deserve,

Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said Thursday on NewsNationâs âCuomoâ that he would not pardon former President Donald Trump if he were found guilty in the classified documents case.
Anchor Chris Cuomo asked, âWould you even consider pardoning Trump or Biden whatever the combination of, you know, parties to any action or at that time, would you even consider that as president?â
Christie said, âI canât imagine a circumstance, as we see it right now, letâs say with the documents case, which is the only one that the president would have jurisdiction over, given whatâs alleged in the indictment, if that were proven, and
