Left-wing MSNBC anchor Joy Reid admitted Sunday she only got accepted into Harvard University because of race-based affirmative action.
“I got into Harvard only because of affirmative action,” Reid’s personal “ReidOut Blog” began.
A Harvard recruiter traveled to Denver and promised to accept Reid to the university, her blog read. Reid went on to celebrate how affirmative action was the reason herself and Supreme Court justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Clarence Thomas were able to be admitted to Ivy League schools.

Cocaine was found on premises at the White House Sunday evening and the Secret Service is investigating the incident that caused an evacuation of the premises.
A dispatch call reviewed by DailyMail.com reveals the substance was found in the White House library – and a preliminary test found that the white powder tested positive for cocaine.
The discovery came two days after Joe Biden's son Hunter, 52, visited the White House on Friday, which has perked the ears of conservatives who are speculating that the president's addict son is the source of the illegal substance.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg attacked the Christian web designer who the Supreme Court sided with last week in striking down a Colorado law that would have required her to design a website for a same-sex wedding.
In a 6-3 decision in the case of 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, the Court cited the First Amendment in ruling that Lorie Smith could not be forced by state civil rights law to design websites that run counter to her sincerely-held religious beliefs.

The first GOP debate stage might not produce the dramatic scene originally expected as a growing number of candidates could opt to skip out – while others are struggling to meet the requirements to land on stage.
With just two months to go, there are 15 candidates vying for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 – and only one-third of the field has met the requirements so far to debate in August.
Longshot candidates remain at risk of not qualifying in time to reach the debate stage, while some of the frontrunners are threatening to boycott due to restrictions and rules set by the Republican National Committee (RNC).

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki claimed Republicans are recruiting Muslims against transgender people in her Sunday episode of MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki.”
Psaki claimed Republicans are using former President Richard Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” method by turning Muslim Americans against transgender people and, in turn, winning their vote.
“Now, decades later, the right-wing is reviving that same playbook,” Psaki said. “This time, with Muslim Americans and trans people. Hear me out here, the GOP is trying to recruit Muslim Americans, a community that makes up less than two percent of the U.S. population against another tiny marginalized group of Americans — transgender people.”

As former President Donald Trump continues to handily lead his rivals in polling half a year out from voting beginning in Iowa with its famed caucuses in January, a second race is emerging among Republicans both in the 2024 presidential field and outside it. The mad dash for who will be the eventual nominee’s running mate, the next possible vice president of the United States, is well underway in GOP circles as several top Republicans vie for Trump’s consideration for the important post should the former president win the chance to represent the party yet again at the top of the ticket.

The U.S. Army has chosen to spotlight the personal journey of Maj. Rachel Jones, a transgender ‘woman’ and head of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Cyber Division.
According to a recent Army publication, it was Jones’ transition from male to female that brought her back from the brink of severe depression and suicidal tendencies. Amidst international tensions and potential conflicts, it seems the U.S. Army has found the time to delve into the realm of personal storytelling and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
Last month, in observance of Pride Month, they’ve chosen to parade Maj. Jones’ tale as a testament to their inclusivity

Climate reporters for the Washington Post lectured how fireworks from 4th of July celebrations will exacerbate air pollution caused by recent wildfires. As millions of Americans prepare to celebrate the nation’s founding with a traditional fireworks display, climate reporters Kasha Patel and Kate Selig warned that these displays spread harmful pollutants. The piece went as far as to refer to the holiday as "the most polluted day of the year." (Snip) "At a time when climate change is exacerbating air pollution and wildfires, we need to find cleaner substitutes for fireworks, especially in areas with poor air quality," Magavern said.

Bud Light has been branded 'desperate' after releasing a new advert showing men aggressively 'grunting' The embattled beer giant released a new 15-second spot on Sunday showing Kelce cracking open Bud Light cans and aggressively grunting with several other men. The advert was a clear marketing U-turn after backlash to the company's previous collaboration with trans star Dylan Mulvaney devastated the brand financially. However, the effort has failed to gain traction after it was posted to YouTube, picking up just 2,500 viewers in over 24 hours following its release. The new advert, titled 'Backyard Grunts with Travis Kelce'

An Obama-appointed federal judge on Monday issued a preliminary injunction against Florida’s election law that imposed limitations on third-party voter registration organizations.
In May Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) signed SB 7020, a law that barred non-citizens from handling or collecting voter registration forms.
One of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit is an immigrant from El Salvador who works for “Mi Vecino,” a third party voter registration organization.
US District Judge Mark Walker said the election law banning non-citizens from handling voter registration forms is unconstitutional.

I’m a white writing professor, and apparently, that’s a problem. That was the unmistakable message sent to me at Pennsylvania State University—and that’s why I’m suing the school.
In November 2020, nearly half a year after George Floyd’s murder in Minneapolis, I was subjected to a video titled “White Teachers Are a Problem” for a monthly professional development meeting for writing faculty.
The video’s featured speaker, Asao Inoue, is a self-described practitioner of anti-racism. Not an obscure one, either: About a year prior, Inoue gave the Chair’s Address at a prestigious writing studies research conference and declared, “White people can perpetuate white supremacy by being present.Your body perpetuates racism.”
