Oath Keepers founder and political prisoner Stewart Rhodes was sentenced on Thursday, May 25th, in Washington, DC. Far-left Obama-appointed US District Judge Amit Mehta on Thursday sentenced Rhodes to 18 years in federal prison. This was after he added extra years to his sentence because he believed Rhodes’ actions amounted to terrorism. This was completely ludicrous. The soulless judge then lectured him on what a danger he was to society. Rhodes is currently 57. If this kangaroo court’s conviction stands, Rhodes will be 75 when he is released.(snip) Yet, a DC kangaroo court found him guilty of sedition for attending a Trump rally.

The injustice done to this man is stunning beyond words to express it. We can contribute to his legal fund, and we can pray to God that he will be released. And we can pray with the utmost sincerity that every one of his persecutors will soon be behind bars themselves. God will certainly deal with them when they exit this life.

If a non Democrat goes to court in DC forget getting an attorney, it is an automatic guilty verdict, why waste money defending what is already the outcome.

Few things concern American citizens more than the steady encroachment of the federal government on our constitutionally protected liberty. WB Yeats’ words aptly describe the way millions of Americans feel about their own government: “The falcon cannot hear the falconer; things fall apart; the center cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.” The federal government seems to have no mechanism of self-restraint. We feel suffocated by its excesses. It is appropriate in this context to celebrate the passage of SCR 21, Senator Stewart Cathey’s Joint Concurrent Resolution.

Muslims Sue FBI for Religious Discrimination,
Feds Base Their Defense on ‘Secret Evidence’

Now here’s an interesting case. A group of Muslims is suing the FBI, claiming religious discrimination over surveillance that the feds carried out a few years after 9/11. The hard-Left ACLU and the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are siding with the plaintiffs, which ordinarily would be a massive red flag impugning their case, but the FBI’s entire case is based on its trustworthiness as an institution. And after all we have seen over the last few years, can anyone really trust the FBI? Time Magazine reported Thursday that the case is based on the activities of a reckless FBI informant

Republican New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu put a damper on the notion that former President Donald Trump could win the presidential general election against a Democrat in November 2024 during a Sunday morning interview on CBS's "Face The Nation." "I think that last segment you had was really telling," Sununo told guest anchor John Dickerson. "It’s just another example that he could win the nomination but cannot, mathematically cannot win in November of '24, which is why the Republican Party needs to look to another candidate. And they've got a lot of great options before them." Sununu, who last week announced that he would not run for president himself

It has just been revealed that Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm lied to the Senate under oath about the stocks she owns. She admitted in a letter that she ‘mistakenly’ misinformed the Senate about her stock ownership and that her spouse owns stock in Ford, a company that is directly impacted by her work. Will there be investigations and arrests? After all, no one is above the law. Isn’t that what we’re being told every day?

President Trump’s instincts, insight and intuition were especially accurate on eight major policy issues: (Snip) Each of the eight policy areas could take up a lengthy essay, and each was grounded in an essential American patriotism and pragmatism; all are connected by holding a priority in U.S. national interests. They share an overlapping relationship and are mutually reinforcing. They should also not be associated only with Trump, but with anyone who shares a similar policy outlook, because above all else they rest on a “Realpolitik”

Once in a while, the crazy present makes you long for the past. I'm sure that people back then had their problems, but at least you didn't have a political party indicting the other party's likely nominee in the upcoming election. No banana republic back then! So we remember this weekend in happier times. Let's start with Joe DiMaggio who took his hitting streak to 25. Joe went 1 for 5 against Washington and the streak kept going. Wonder how many suspected on June 10, 1941 that it would go to 56? The record back then was 44.

In the wake of news that former President Donald Trump would be indicted on federal charges next week related to his handling of classified documents, many rightfully noted the two-tiered system of justice that's being employed to go after Trump while turning a blind eye to Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden — Democrats who had classified materials in unapproved locations. Democrats, of course, are used to this benefit of belonging to the "correct" party, and now Hillary Clinton is outright gloating about the partisan immunity she enjoys.

As I reveal in my film and accompanying book, Michelle Obama 2024: Her Real Life Story and Plan for Power, Michelle’s two most significant jobs in Chicago involved working on behalf of white liberal elites to deal with the problems that Black people were causing them. Chicago liberals couldn’t hire a White person to make 20,000 Blacks homeless. Their answer was to hire Michelle Obama. She became Mayor Richard Daley’s assistant planning commissioner.

Warfare requires deception. The federal government habitually lies to the American people. Consider that an admission that it sees itself at war with those it claims to serve. You might have noticed that the word "propaganda" has been somewhat retired from polite conversation. Occasionally, some State-allied news corporation will apply the term to a public statement coming from inside Russia, but otherwise, the idea that governments promote falsehoods cloaked as official truths has quietly disappeared.

We have been swimming upstream for years here at American Thinker, arguing that conversion of the automobile fleet to electric vehicles is a mistake, harming the environment more than helping it, and utterly impractical for a variety of reasons, including charging time and an entirely inadequate electrical grid, already at the breaking point. Yet the green image (and the subsidies) continue, impervious to the reality. (Snip) However, there are signs that the gravity of the practical problems with E.V. conversion are sinking in. Rowan Atkinson, who has become a global icon portraying "Mr. Bean," a character Atkinson describes as "a child in a man's body," is publicly raising these questions.
