Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Wednesday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that the House vote on party lines, with 6 Republicans voting present, to censure him was a “flagrant abuse of the House process.”
Cooper said, “What is your response to this censure?”
Schiff said, “It’s a badge of honor. As Roosevelt said in his time, sometimes you can judge a person by the enemies they makes. This was a MAGA resolution that Donald Trump threatened if any Republicans voted against it like they did last week they would be subject to a primary challenge. So, this is basically Trump and MAGA world going after someone they think is effective

Geraldo Rivera is departing from the Fox News show The Five.
The 79-year-old shared the news to Twitter with his 376,000 plus followers Wednesday morning:
Morning, it’s official, I’m off @TheFive. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th. It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large. (Tweet) Last year, Jessica Tarlov, Harold Ford Jr, and Rivera were named as rotating guest hosts for the show after Juan Williams departed in 2021, the Daily Beast reported.

Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi told Republicans Wednesday on the House floor that they looked 'miserable' and said they had turned the chamber into a 'puppet show' at the behest of former President Donald Trump.
Pelosi was the final Democrat to speak during the afternoon's debate over whether California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff should be censured over his role in the House's Russia probe of Trump.
A similar measure targeting Schiff, the former top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, who House Speaker Kevin McCarthy pushed off the panel earlier this year, failed in the House last week.

MSNBC political analyst Claire McCaskill said Tuesday on “Deadline” that House Republicans criticizing President Joe Biden after his son, Hunter Biden, reached a plea deal with the Department of Justice needed to “back off.”
When asked about Republican lawmakers comments on the plea deal, McCaskill said, “I don’t know what America they live in and I don’t know how they sleep at night. Alcoholism and addiction are probably the most pervasive diseases in America. I don’t know of one family that hasn’t been touched by the pain of these diseases. And it’s particularly painful when you have someone you love unconditionally that is suffering from these diseases.”

The founder of the company whose submersible became lost on a dive to view the wreckage of the Titanic, sparking a frantic, deep-sea rescue effort that has riveted people around the world, once declared he didn’t want to hire “50-year-old white guys” on his team even if they were seasoned submariners. (snip) “When I started the business, one of the things you’ll find, there are other sub operators out there, but they typically have gentlemen who are ex-military sub-mariners, and they — you’ll see a whole bunch of 50-year-old white guys,” Rush told Teledyne Marine representatives before the expedition began.

The Pentagon revealed on Tuesday that an overestimation in the value of weapons sent to Ukraine over the past two years has resulted in an extra $6.2 billion of U.S. taxpayers’ money earmarked for the Eastern European country. This figure is approximately double what was originally estimated and allegedly will be utilized for future security packages.
Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh provided clarification on the nature of the error, explaining that the military services had used the replacement cost rather than the book value of equipment pulled from Pentagon stocks and sent to Ukraine.

OceanGate Expeditions, the exploration tourism company operating the submersible that went missing while descending to the wreck of the Titanic earlier this week, released a statement Thursday afternoon acknowledging that the five passengers onboard its ship, Titan, “have sadly been lost.”
“This is an extremely sad time for our dedicated employees who are exhausted and grieving deeply over this loss,” the company said in a statement.
The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed the tragic news during a Thursday afternoon press briefing.
“On behalf of the United States Coast Guard and the entire unified command, I offer my deepest condolences to the families,” Rear Admiral John Mauger said.

Death by corporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), also known colloquially as ‘wokeism’, is unfortunately becoming a theme.
If you have been following the story of a missing deep water tourist submarine run by a company called OceanGate®, perhaps this part of the untold story might provide some ironic context for the current crisis.
(snip)
The CEO of OceanGate, the company that has created a tourism industry around underwater exploration, is a man named Stockton Rush. Two years ago, Mr. Rush was interviewed about his company and how they operate; his outlook on the personnel he hired might explain the crisis.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged House Republicans to vote against the resolution brought forward by GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado forcing a vote to impeach President Joe Biden this week, arguing now is not the right time, multiple sources in the closed door meeting told CNN.
McCarthy argued that Republicans should let committee investigations play out and warning that jumping to impeachment now could threaten their slim majority, the sources said. The speaker noted that House Republicans have taken back the House five times in the last 100 years, and two of those times lost the majority the next cycle.
“What majority do we want to be,” McCarthy asked his conference,

The sight of a president of the United States ascending or descending the stairs to the entrance of Air Force One, often waving from beside that thick door with the Seal of the President of the United States visible on it inside, is one of the iconic images of the presidency, full of the majesty of the office and the drama of the giant airliner known for decades as "the queen of the skies" (sadly, no longer in production).
Apparently, we will no longer be treated to such a sight for the 46th president of the United States. Suddenly, Joe Biden has started using the back door of the plane,

We had five years to stop using fossil fuels to prevent wiping out “all of humanity” from June 21st 2018, Greta Thunberg claimed in a now-deleted Tweet.
Today is the anniversary of a doomsday prediction made by Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg when she was just 15 years old June 21st 2018, stating the human race had five years to end fossil fuels or face certain death. She wrote then:
A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.
