On Monday FOX News announced that they had parted ways with their top-rated prime-time host Tucker Carlson.
This came as a shock to many of his devoted fans in the populist movement.
By Monday evening Tucker Carlson already had at least one offer. One America News founder and CEO Robert Herring extended an invitation to Tucker Carlson to meet and negotiate a deal to become part of the OAN team.
On Saturday TMZ reported that Newsmax is courting the top-rated cable news host. According to TMZ, Newsmax is even sweetening the deal and offering him control over the entire Newsmax lineup.

Tucker is under contract and can't actually negotiate until his contract with Fox expires in 2 years. Included in that contract is Fox will pay out any lawsuit judgements; hence, the odd lawsuit brought by the employee claiming harassment, delaying him from breaking the contract.

Don't think Tucker wants to be under the yoke of another network. Once he has been able to sever his contract with Fox, Tucker will create his own network. He will be free to do what he pleases, when he pleases, without concern of any bosses hovering over him.

Just as cable displaced broadcast TV, digital streaming is going to ease out cable, Tucker (hopefully with help from Musk/Trump) should focus on that. There are people like Bongino, Levin, Bartiromo, Hannity even the old warhorse O'Reilly available to help.

I have really enjoyed Newsmax since its beginning. Everyone on-air brings something different to the screen--all of it great. But it seems that from Tucker's last broadcast, he has been headed for his own network. I have no hard facts on which to base that, just a ''feeling.'' (woe, woe, woe feelings!) And a hope.

I'm beginning to enjoy Newsmax much more but they need to up their game a little. Start live news earlier each morning and improve their weekend programming. Tucker would be a perfect choice to accomplish this I think.

I've been watching Newsmax now since FOX fblew up. I have to say that I do miss the entertaining value of FOX simply because I had it on all day and it's entertaining not to mention the new aspect of it. Newsmax is not so much and it's dry and the personalities are kind of stiff and don't really have a sense of humor about them. Newsmax needs to up their game. I watch it but I have to switch to something else. I have the TV on for noise....I don't like a quiet house, so FOX was it. Now it's Newsmax.....; [

Just remember, Newsmax gave $1 million dollars to the Clinton Foundation in 2015. https://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2015/02/newsmax-pledged-1m-to-clinton-foundation-202803

Don't do it Tucker! Don't be tied to another network. Start your own podcast or network. President Trump is doing
great with TruthSocial and Bongino is doing terrific with his podcast on Rumble. Be your own man and answer only to
the Lord and your own conscience. We will follow you wherever you go. And we're praying for you get to out of Fox's
contract that ties you through 2024 (if that's the truth). God bless you for telling the truth and not being afraid to stand up
to the bullies!

We haven't seen Carlson's employment agreement, so any conclusions there is merely talk. We know he was fired. We don't know if Fox is going to buy out his contract. Neither party has said anything. If they don't buy out the contract, and he was fired, a noncompete agreement is not worth the paper it is written on, and he is free of Fox. But Fox may not be free of Carlson, and have legal exposure for wrongful termination, as Fox would have to meet the terms of the employment agreement to fire him. Maybe Fox can show cause of the firing, maybe not. They could buy out the contract to avoid legal exposure. Again, we don't know if Fox is going to buy out the contract. If Fox buys out the contract, do they pay it off now, and would future payments be discounted to present value. What rate of discount would be used? Or does Fox continue to pay, when the payments are due? We don't know. This looks like a dispute that will have to be worked out by the lawyers. Carlson will have to get legal advice, before entertaining any offers. In general, the courts have not been receptive to preventing anyone from working.

That is good news...but fox will not release him and his contract is in effect until 2024...fox hoped to silence Tucker for the 2024 election of President Trump....enter Elon Musk...I'm thinking he'll make Tucker his own cable station and give him complete control of it's content...wouldn't that be fun?...I love the idea....
