While I’m not fond of “unpack” in this usage, there’s a lot to unpack in answering the headline question.
Yes, Kamala Harris is arguably the most unqualified person in history to serve as vice president. Even worse, given the reality of 80-year-old Joe Biden’s mental decline, her ill-advised selection in 2020 puts the Democrat Party in a precarious position with respect to the 2024 presidential election.
As conservative columnist Kristin Tate told Fox News Digital, “Kamala Harris is one of the most unlikable and uninspiring public figures in modern political history.” The approval rating of the Cackling Queen of Word Salads™ hasn’t surpassed 40 percent since her first year in office,

In light of what we are witnessing and experiencing in the world today, integrity may seem like an old-fashioned concept unrelated to modern life. If we look up the definition of integrity in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, we will learn that integrity means “adherence to a strict moral or ethical code; incorruptible; honest; virtuous.” Unfortunately, when we read the daily news headlines, we may think there are no people left with any shred of integrity because almost every news story has to do with corruption, dishonesty, or lack of virtue.
We also don’t hear much about “walking your talk” these days unless in conjunction with a Twelve Step addiction recovery program

This week Joe Biden touted a laundry list of immigration carrots and sticks intended to disincentivize illegal immigration at the southern border now that he's lifting the sparsely enforced Title 42 restrictions on May 11.
They were mostly carrots. The New York Times called them a "new back door on immigration," and explained that its permissiveness went well beyond the lawful congressional parameters for the admission of immigrants.
The response? More migrants at the border than ever. They're massing now in record numbers. Call it 5/11. (Snip) That sounds extreme, but it's based on local Border Patrol reports and there are confirming reports of very large numbers of migrants massing

Next month, it will be 31 years since The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson aired its farewell episode. We all knew that Carson was irreplaceable. Greatly modified expectations got late-night fans through the first several years after Carson retired. The Jay Leno/David Letterman succession mess really threw a dark cloud over the beginning of the post-Carson era.
It is well known that Carson wanted Letterman to replace him. Personally, I always thought that Dave was too quirky for the Tonight Show audience. Heck, I thought he was too quirky for that time slot, but he proved me wrong on that one.
Because Leno and Letterman had already been on television so much,

So-called “transgenderism” was once a weird sexual-fetish activity that existed at the periphery of American society. It’s now moved front and center, something that is inordinately dangerous. Americans are beginning to understand the danger to our children from a movement that is compulsively and pathologically drawn to children, both for sexual excitement and recruitment, but people need to recognize that the so-called “transgender” crowd is also encouraging itself to be violently dangerous to all Americans.
Mark Tapson, one of the most insightful writers about cultural issues, has written a powerful essay about the nexus between gender ideology, violence, and, inevitably, full-blown terrorism.

A new report is shedding more light on one of Biden’s biggest liabilities as he heads into his coronation as the 2024 Democratic Party presidential nominee.
According to Axios, the president’s age and subsequent laziness have become a campaign issue for voters, and it’s something the White House is having a tough time covering up. That’s exacerbated by the fact that their attempts to hide Biden only highlight the issue further. (Snip) The White House rarely puts Biden in improvisational settings — or in front of hostile questions from reporters. So it’s tough for anyone outside his tight bubble to truly appraise the reality of Biden being the oldest

Democrats have mostly given up on denying that Joe Biden is suffering from an advanced stage of dementia. Their strategy, as exemplified by their mouthpiece the New York Times, has shifted to a defense of senility. Do we need a mentally competent president? Nah.
This morning’s Times email, which is curated by David Leonhardt, the Times’s “senior writer” who writes for “The Times’s flagship daily newsletter,” said this morning:
"Strange as it may sound, the American government can function without a healthy president."
Hey, Edith Wilson did a great job!
The issue that makes many Democrats even more anxious than Biden’s second-term capabilities is whether his age will prevent him from winning a second

In a video announcement that he is running for reelection President Biden is portrayed as a champion of freedom. In reality, no president has done more to impinge on the freedoms of Americans.
First, Biden says he is standing up for fundamental freedoms and then he says he is about standing up for personal freedoms. This is doublespeak. Doublespeak is when words seem to be about something they are not. It is another way of lying. Conservatives need to call it out as that.
In truth, Democrats are about control. The only way they are about freedom

As any bartender will tell you, a bar only exists because of its regulars.
Too bad no one told the wokesters running the Fairfax Bar and Grill in Bloomington, Indiana.
FACT-O-RAMA! “Dipsomania” is an old-timey word for alcoholism.
We all know Bud Light committed Hari-kari by joining forces with an attention-starved dudette in a dress whose name I shall not use lest he Google himself and see I’ve mentioned him (I PROMISE he is doing just that).
Bud Light light sales have plummeted 17% after what has to be the worst marketing decision since naming a diet-loss candy “Ayds.”

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Even the most pleasant among us would have to admit that things in the world aren’t the greatest these days, especially here in Joe Biden’s America. One can find any number of legitimate causes for deep consternation immediately upon arising each day. There is certainly no reason to make things up to worry about.
That is what the climate change cultists do every day, however.
When this incarnation of the climate scam began, it was all about Al Gore and his ilk ginning up hysteria for a money grab. The hysteria thing worked so well that an entire impressionable young generation is convinced

Arguably the most beautiful big city in America looks more and more like a ghost town as San Francisco learns yet another painful real estate lesson.
The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that a “fire sale” on the 22-story 350 California office tower could see the $300 million building sell for as little as $60 million.
The potential 80% off is because the building is 75% vacant and, according to one estimate, will require $50 million in renovations and improvements to attract new tenants.
Assuming there will be any tenants to attract.

As RedState reported, Joe Biden got caught red-handed again with a “cheat sheet” while giving a press conference on Wednesday. This time was a bit different than past occurrences, though.
Biden has previously been observed having a pre-approved list of reporters on hand as well as outlines spelling out every syllable he’s supposed to utter. What made this time more concerning was that he had the actual question the reporter was set to ask him as well.
In all my time following politics, I’ve never seen anything like this. (Snip) The excuse here will likely be that because this was a joint presser with a foreign dignitary, questions needed to be pre-screened.
