Ron DeSantis' awkward response to falling poll numbers has critics speculating that he is 'extremely shaken' by the prospect of the drop-off in standing against former President Donald Trump.
The Florida governor has not yet announced a run for president, but his recent travels and continued national and international presence has only fueled speculation that he does plan to run in 2024.
Trump's increasing lead seems to have shaken DeSantis.

Next on board is a witch doctor casting chicken bones to reveal DeSantis is quaking in his boots at Trump’s apotheosis as the second coming.

If DeSantis announces that he is not running in 2024, and he becomes Donald Trump's biggest cheerleader during this election cycle, he becomes the odds-on favorite for 2028, and gets the full support and financial backing of Trump's 70,000,000 voters and Trump himself.
If DeSantis runs this time, and loses (as the odds are, since Trump still has a massive number of supporters in flyover country), he will have to say a lot of nasty things about Trump and that is going to destroy his support among so many Trump supporters that will not be forgotten in 2028.
DeSantis has nothing to gain by running this time, and everything to lose. I hope he is smart enough to realize that!!!

It did seem awkward. Not as awkward as Big Bidet sniffing a little girl’s hair. Or Kackling Kamel A Hairass waxing enthusiastic about school buses and lunar craters. Or Robert Mullet not knowing about the “Steele Dossier.” Hard to get worked up about repubs with the Dims so busy invoking tyranny.

I agree # 3 - he has too much to lose if he runs this time. But I don't think he's the decision maker. I think the GOPe are behind him and we know the Bushes are in the middle of all of it. But DeSantis was definitely caught off guard but I don't see the big deal with the shaking head. He was using that for emphasis and didn't realize how silly he looked. And his wife is lovely but she's no Jackie. She should stop trying.

A body language expert? What’s next? As for DeSantis entering the race, let him. Since Trump is way ahead, what does he have to fear. He shouldn’t fear any competition.

he's not even a presidential candidate yet; so, look at polls after he announces, maybe in May or early June, and then talk about poll numbers. Trump is riding high at the moment on the prosecutorial misconduct of the New York prosecutor.

Trump will NEVER be allowed to be President again. Never. What are any of you Always Trumpsters on this site doing to clean up our corrupt elections? Nothing.

DeSantis needs a dose of humility. I like him but this is not his time. He needs to sit this one out. At this rate he'll implode to the point Trump wouldn't want to consider him for the VP slot.
DeSantis can't possibly be arrogant enough to think he'd be able to take on Trump head-to-head on debates. Trump would eviscerate DeSantis.
I think DeSantis is purposely being cagey and "waiting in the wings" to see if any of the fraudulent charges against Trump actually stick, forcing Trump to bow out. DeSantis would arrive like the cavalry (in the nick of time) to save the GOP.
It's not gonna work Ron

Everything we are saying here - Not '24 but '28 is your time, is known to DeSantis. He wasn't born yesterday. The problem is, if he refuses to step in and trip Trump, over 90% of his current financial support will vanish.

Its time to face reality. DJT has a checkered background with respect to his morals and lifestyle. Now it has made him vulnerable to criminal accusations that will cost him votes whether they are legitimate or not. Also his name on the ballot generates a larger turnout among the left than any other GOP candidate. And quite frankly, he s a terrible speaker and worse debater. Is a polished and articulate candidate with no personal baggage to much to ask for?

For those who have bought into the notion that Trump should be abandoned because he will never be allowed to become POTUS again:
Does logical reasoning not give pause in thought for why another Republican candidate would be allowed?
The reason Trump would not be allowed is obvious. He and those who support him are a threat to globalist “Never Trumpers” on both sides of that aisle over which they are working to maintain their control. He has proven his effectiveness against them. That is not true of any other candidate.
The truth is - if Trump loses, America as a sovereign nation loses. The recourse after that is very dire. The people either surrender or resist. History has recorded the potential result of both scenarios.
Election fraud is the battle we face now - not a lack of votes. If a small organized group of evil activists can wield power to destroy multi-million $$$ corporations - and ultimately this country - with the support of those intent on fundamentally transforming America, what could an organized effort of WTP accomplish with the blessing of Almighty God, to stand for the mighty truth of His precepts & principles against them?!
(Tucker Carlson is so very right about the power of truth!!)
That is why it is more than curious to some that DeSantis would align with Never Trumpers against Trump. Even if he has good intentions for preserving our Constitutional Republic, he does not have the knowledge, experience, or power to do it - especially against the odds Trump has already shown that he would face on a national & international scale.
That is why it seems more logical to help Trump do what he has shown he is capable of doing, & then take over a more manageable situation, & with more years of experience.
Surely some far-fetched enticement of a promise of “Camelot” isn’t worth the risk of our blood-won Republic.
Btw, King David, a man after God’s own heart, had a “checkered” background. Yet, he stood for good against evil.
None of the leaders of God’s people were without sin. They were human, just as we are today. But, we all have the free will to choose to serve a righteous cause. Trump has chosen that righteous cause. He has not chosen to work with evil to accomplish it. Perhaps he was chosen for “such a time as this” in America.

#8, could you please explain how you know that the “Always Trumpers” aren’t doing anything to help clean up elections? Back up sources that we can all research would be helpful. Thanks so much.
