Slowly but surely, the 2024 Senate cycle is shaping up, with eager candidates or battle-tested incumbents throwing their hats in the ring. Some campaigns are being launched. Others are brewing behind the scenes. And in some states, party operatives are already homing in on their preferred contenders for competitive contests. But in Florida, it’s a slow start, to say the least. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) is running again. A magnitude 3.5 earthquake woke up parts of the San Francisco Bay Area on Tuesday morning. The earthquake, which struck at 6:01 a.m., was centered in Pacifica, along an area of the coastal city around the San Andreas fault, and was strong enough to be felt near San Francisco International Airport. Robert Lucas, an MBA student, said the legacy of Eli Whitney should be studied, not celebrated. “Things won’t change unless someone speaks up,” Lucas said. Lucas is set to graduate this spring. Surveillance photographs and video footage shows the 28-year-old transgender suspect who attacked the Nashville Christian school was using a carbine which fires pistol rounds, not an AR-15.
The 28-year-old was armed with three firearms, and police photos of the guns show that an AR-15 was not one them.
The firearms were an AR-pistol, a handgun, and a carbine. The type of carbine possessed by the attacker uses 9mm or .40 caliber handgun rounds.
A Bible college in the United Kingdom has allegedly fired a professor and threatened to report him as a “terrorist” for tweeting against homosexuality.
Aaron Edwards, a theologian at Cliff College in England, was removed from his position after sending the tweet, Fox News reported.
