Billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch has revealed that he is engaged to new girlfriend Ann Lesley Smith, just six months after the pair first met - and less than a year after his divorce from fourth wife Jerry Hall was finalized.
The 92-year-old shared the news in an interview with one of his own publications - the New York Post - this morning, revealing that he popped the question to Smith, 66, with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire ring, which he 'personally selected'.
Murdoch, who has been married four times previously, admitted that he was 'nervous' about popping the question yet again, confessing that he had 'dreaded falling in love' -

#3 beat me to it. There's nothing attractive about a 92-year old man but his money.

## 2 and 3 beat me to it. So I'll add, is this "love" (undefined for now) all that's on your mind, Rupert?

Sounds like a man who doesn't like to be alone. I live in a Senior Community and see this all the time. The Wife dies and the man (even in their 80's) is dating someone in 3 months! I don't think it has anything to do with Love. They are just Lonely! The Widow's, on the other hand, do not do the same. They just go on with their life, Alone. They have Lady Friends they shop with or play cards with or dine out with. Men don't seem to have a Similar kind of Support System! Of course, I've heard some Women say the Men are just looking for Someone to do their Laundry and Cook for them. I've also heard some Men say the Widows (who do date) are just looking for Someone who can Drive after Dark!

Let me guess: she's a huge lib/prog who's doles out Rupert's viagra pills as dog treats for handcuffing FOX (talking to you, Tucker...what happened to the J6 tape reports??) and New York Post (talking to you, editorial board....remember when your paper wasn't virulently anti-PDT?).
Shame on this old, pathetic coot.

He says he dreads falling in love, so we know it's not love.
Agree he is looking for a companion.

I bet Stormy Daniels is jealous.
As for why most widows are fine after their husbands dies - probably because they put up with a lot of their garbage and can now enjoy themselves.

Love? Is that what the quaint old lechers are calling it now? Rupert gets a relatively young new toy and Leslie becomes rich beyond her wildest dreams in a few short years of geezer-pleasing. Sounds like a win-win to me. The Murdoch children must be ecstatic.

From what I recall, Murdoch's children had a hand in turning him against Jerry Hall, so now they get the joy of watching the old coot marry another woman who's after his money.

Yeah ... there ya go, Rupert ... the 5th time is sure to be the charm.
She "loves" you for who you are. An old wealthy windbag who looks like his millions of dollars ... green & wrinkly.
His wedding gift to her will be an antique organ.

Well, it's like the story about the 90 year old man who weds a 20 year old girl. Friends ask him "Aren't you worried about dying on your wedding night?" And the old man says, "well, if she dies, she dies."
I remember many years ago visiting a family friend and his wife who had retired to a nearby retirement park in the Texas RGV. They'd tell me how the old, single guys had it made. They mentioned one of the residents, a gentleman in his late 80s, half blind, deaf, missing teeth who would hang out around the pool and have women (widows in their 60s and 70s) on him like it was a beach movie from the 1960s.

Few people want to be alone. Sounds to me like he is looking for a 1950's woman but he keeps choosing young, modern women who put themselves first. Good luck R.M.
