WASHINGTON— The U.S. military on Saturday shot down a suspected Chinese spy balloon off the Carolina coast after it traversed sensitive military sites across North America. China insisted the flyover was an accident involving a civilian aircraft and threatened repercussions. President Joe Biden issued the order but had wanted the balloon downed even earlier, on Wednesday. Hunter Biden’s very expensive and high-powered legal team denied House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer’s (R-KY) letter demanding the president’s son disclose troves of documents and communications relevant to the investigation into the Biden family for wire fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering, among six other potential violations.
Attorney Abbe Lowell, who represents high-profile individuals engulfed in political scandals, such as Bill Clinton and Jared Kushner, told Comer that his demands lacked “legitimate legislative and oversight basis” to request such relevant information.

Someone defined education as “that which is done to prepare a child for life.” If that is truly the definition, then our schools are doing a terrible job.
Many kids graduate from school believing somehow that the world owes them a living; that they have a right to a good income, whether they happen to work or not.
The idea that Americans are free to excel and benefit from their hard work seems foreign to what they are being taught in school. In fact, producing children who believe the world owes them a living represents the future downfall of our great nation.
During an interview with “PBS NewsHour” on Wednesday, President Joe Biden responded to Republican plans to use their new majority in the House of Representatives to investigate the Biden family — including his son, Hunter and his brother, Jim — and the accusations made by Republicans that members of the Biden family got access due to the President and his political success by stating that the American public will not “pay attention to that.” Biden also said that if all that the Republicans are able to do with their majority in the House “is make up things about my family, it’s not going to go very far.”
Hunter Biden and his high-powered and expensive legal team sent Rudy Giuliani, Tony Bobulinski, and 12 others a “litigation hold” letter to preserve “Laptop from Hell” records, a move seen by some critics as a public relations tactic to change the troubling narrative for the Biden family.
The litigation letter asks the individuals to “preserve potential evidence for future lawsuits related to the alleged theft of personal data that may include information from his laptop,” NBC News reported.

For no good reasons whatsoever, competence was allowed to die on the vine in order to give the less competent a leg up. Not equality but superiority rules the hiring, firing, and education of Americans. Worse, many of those who were affirmatively hired do not do as good a job as those whose excellence was obvious. You can see it in customer service, which for many businesses is abysmally incompetent. There is a resentful casualness in those who are hired to serve others that would not have been acceptable even two decades ago.
