Nancy Pelosi has at long last experienced a spasm of guilt over her tenure as the Best Catholic in America, America’s Mother, or whatever else she calls herself to get through the day. But it turns out she has humbled herself enough to ask for help to make things right. Sort of.
Over the weekend we learned that the former House speaker, keeper of freezers full of expensive pints of ice cream and an ardent lover of killing babies, has now suffered so much guilt over her husband’s attack at the hands of a tidy whities-wearing weirdo that she called in the services of priests to chase out

Maricopa County is the most populated part of Arizona. When it comes to local government, it’s strongly conservative. However, abruptly and surprisingly, in both 2020 and 2022, Maricopa County suddenly started voting Democrat. The courts shut down 2020 election challenges, but gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is fighting the good fight for the 2022 election—and today she released bombshell information about voting machine problems and bizarre signature analyses. If a judge accepts this data, it shows an election-changing pattern of suppressing Republican votes and overcounting Democrat votes.
Maricopa County had 4,420,568 residents according to the 2020 census,

Independent publisher Primary Wave Music announced Monday that it has acquired the rights of guitarist Robby Krieger and late keyboardist Ray Manzarek pertaining to their band, the Doors. It includes the Doors’ music publishing catalog, recordings, trademarks, merchandise rights, and income. The deal does not include the late Jim Morrison entities’ and drummer John Densmore’s interests.
The financial terms of what Primary Wave Music described as a “monumental acquisition” have not been disclosed, but it includes their classic hits such as “Break on Through (to the Other Side),” “Light My Fire,” “Hello, I Love You,” “People Are Strange,” “Riders on the Storm,” as well as “L.A. Woman.”

Her husband Alec Baldwin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for his 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, but on Friday, Baldwin’s wife Hilaria demonstrated that even in crisis, she keeps a calm, steady focus on what’s important: as she pleaded with reporters to leave her husband and family alone, she maintained the fake Spanish accent that she has displayed on numerous occasions in the past, despite being harshly criticized for the fact that she isn’t Spanish at all.

Joe Biden takes classified documents very seriously, so he says, but even after the search for classified documents has allegedly ended a couple of times now, it’s not yet over.
In the wake of more documents being discovered at Biden’s home in Wilmington, Del., the Department of Justice is now considering expanding its search for classified documents Biden may have absconded with, according to a report from CBS News.
“Justice Department officials are also considering the possibility of conducting other consensual searches at locations linked to Mr. Biden, said the source

A celebration of the Lunar New Year in Monterey Park, Calif., turned tragic on Saturday evening as a gunman wielding what witnesses claimed was a “machine gun” entered a ballroom dance facility downtown and opened fire.
Authorities say 10 people died, and at least 16 more were wounded. The suspect fled the scene and is still at large.
No motive was given. Monterey Park is a majority Asian community, and the area where the shooting occurred was crowded with families celebrating the Lunar New Year.
While some are quick — even eager — to blame the mass shooting on anti-Asian

“And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.”

Decades ago, the Left played the class-war game. These days it’s a war on competence and achievement, hiding beyond claims of racial and sexual equity.
In Virginia, we are to believe that on their own, high school administrators in seventeen schools decided not to inform those of their students who had scored high enough on their scholastic aptitude tests to be named National Merit semi-finalists. Of course, it was not coincidental. Two factors are involved: The spurious claim that schools can achieve the impossible -- equal outcomes for all -- a claim which must not be challenged by contrary facts; and prejudice against high-achieving students -- most likely,

For all Joe Biden’s talk about “semi-fascist” and “un-American,” “ultra-MAGA” Republicans, it is the Democratic Party that has far more radically changed. It is descended into a woke, neo-socialist, radically green party. And it is committed, as Barack Obama once promised, to fundamentally transforming America. How it proceeds with that agenda is now as entirely predictable as it is creepy.
Election Warping
Before any presidential or midterm election, strict news suppression ensures that all bad news will follow, not precede, the voting. The Twitter files, Project Veritas ambush interviews, the Podesta emails, and occasional left-wing braggadocio like Molly Ball’s now infamous post-2020 election revelations in Time magazine,

The New York Times has long ago abandoned any pretense of being an actual news source and has settled into its role as the foremost propaganda arm of the hard Left, capitalizing upon the fact that there is still a considerable number of people in the U.S. and around the world who still think that the Times can be trusted to report events impartially and accurately. In reality, the only thing the Times is good for is revealing what the political and media elites are thinking, and a Friday opinion piece dropped a bombshell, in the Times’ muted, bloodless Voice-of-the-Ages manner:

Federal prosecutors seized nearly $700 million in cash and assets connected to Sam Bankman-Fried, primarily in the form of Robinhood shares that were owned by the FTX founder, a court filing revealed Friday.
John Ray, who replaced Bankman-Fried as CEO to guide FTX’s restructuring, is trying to rescue funds that were lost by the crypto company’s depositors when the firm spiraled into bankruptcy in November. Bankman-Fried was arrested on criminal fraud charges in December and is released on a $250 million bond as he awaits trial.
The 55 million-plus Robinhood shares are at the heart of a contentious multi-party battle between Caribbean litigants, representatives of bankrupt crypto lender BlockFi,

New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies announced on Thursday, following a yearlong investigation, that Alec Baldwin would be charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins—who was killed by Baldwin on the set of the movie Rust.
It’s hard to say what Baldwin’s fate will be. Will he be convicted? Will he serve time? Who can say at this point? But one thing that is clear is that Halyna Hutchins would be alive today if Alex Baldwin were politically conservative, and he wouldn’t have the legal problems he has now, which threaten his career and his life.
Comments:
As stated, drummer John Densmore and (the late) singer Jim Morrison's interests are not included in this deal. The Doors' catalogue, a significant part of which was written by guitarist Krieger, is quite valuable.
