Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates believes one of the solutions to combat climate change is to stop cows from burping.
Gates invested in a startup company in Australia that is exploring dietary supplements for cows in an effort to contain ‘greenhouse gas emissions.’
“Australian climate technology company Rumin8 has closed Phase 2 of its seed funding round, led by Bill Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV) with participation from Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s agri-food business Harvest Road Group,” according to the company’s news release.

More greenhouse gasses are emitted in a day from above ground and underseas volcanic eruptions than from cow burps or cowfarts in a hundred years.

This goes to prove that a man can be brilliant in one area of knowledge and an idiot in others. OMG cow supplements. Next it will be smoothies for Cows, perhaps sedatives for certain dog breeds. Yes I know that ones already here. How about this, how bout we just tell the do gooder's to stuff their ideas where the sun don't shine and move on. If he wants to make the world a better place how about feeding the hungry millions around the world. Instead this clown wants to somehow kill off billion or so citizens of the world. When a man sets himself in the place of God, he always fails and destroys himself and those followers around him.

I'm afraid this will amount to no more than farts in the wind. Hey Bill, forget the cows, and concentrate on making Windows more impervious to hackers.

This is what a dumbed down dishonest society looks like.
People have to be dumbed down to believe in this nonsense.
Bill Gates, on the other hands, isn't dumb. He sees a quick dishonest buck. Guess Microsoft isn't enough for him.

if their digestion of normal feed to become meat and milk produces methane then it is going to be ejected from their systems somehow, right? (Not a biologist)

I am so glad the American bison was driven to the edge of extinction thus giving us more years protected from the gas they would have expelled.

To lie-berals, God (oops, I forgot they don't believe in Him, so make that "unnamed deity") forbid that you give a sick cow an antibiotic.
Instead, they are now supporting giving cows chemicals -- not to cure a disease, but to stop the cows from doing the very natural thing of producing gas as part of their totally natural digestive process?!?!?!?!?
Yep, lie-beral "logic" at its normal insane level!!!!!

Bill needs to figure out a system whereby he can breathe cow flatulence directly into his windpipe so it can then be purified before he exhales it.

Completely ridiculous. Cows have multiple stomachs, and the cellulose that they eat in grass, hay, etc. cannot be digested by them....they host bacteria in their gut which CAN digest the cellulose and then the cows use the resulting processed output.
The bacteria put out the methane. Not going to breed cows who can digest cellulose directly, not in a thousand years, and $100 billion.

This presupposes that cows are the only animals that toot. But what about deer, moose, bison, wild horses, boar, squirrels, raccoons, etc.??? They pass gas as well. How does Bill plan to get THEM to stop "for the environment??"
