The news that the federal government is seriously considering a ban on the sale of gas stoves caught many normal Americans off guard. It shouldn’t have. Nor should they believe it when a regulator says they won’t actually ever ban the thing.
In recent decades, regulators have wormed their way into every corner of our lives – banning some products, ruining others, and pricing others out of reach of working families – all allegedly for our benefit. The only thing that’s surprising is that they hadn’t targeted gas stoves earlier.
This week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. said that gas appliances

And how can we forget when they came for our toilet tanks and out dishwasher soap and our washing machines?
But this gas stove "trial balloon" was a lame attempt at a diversion from joe's new Top Secret/China$$$ woes.

In February, when large swaths of the country are being hit with another "polar vortex", they're going to come after your gas furnace.

Seems their Trial Balloon went down with a thud! Make Momma Mad and you have made a huge mistake. It seems they didn't expect the backlash they received! And wait until the folks in NY who buy into the new Buildings and find out they have Heat Pumps (thanks to the Governor's decree of NO GAS in all new Building) instead of Gas Heat! There is going to be hell to pay! Our experience with a Heat Pump left us freezing all winter long. It was like a cool breeze blowing on us all the time. We were used to Gas Heat all our lives, then we moved to the Country in TN and all they offered was Heat Pumps. Since we knew nothing about them, we were not concerned, until our first Winter. BIG difference between Gas Heat and Heat Pumps!!

It would be a lot cheaper and better to replace Commissar Richard Trumka Jr. than gas stoves. What's next, a ban on candles?

Which is easier turn off from an office far, far away,
your gas supply, or your "Smart Meter"?

The goal of our government is control. At some point in the future, if your social credit score is too low, they can flip a switch and turn off the "smart meter" at your house. If you have a gas stove top and a fire place, you could still survive. (That would make your electric car useless too.)
Think that is ridiculous? Ask the Chinese how their government controls them.

Gas heating and cooking have been in use for well over a century but suddenly it is causing asthma in children? How about blaming the air tight homes and buildings which have become the norm and are being discovered to not be saving the energy the "experts" predicted. The bureaucrats and pols are always mitigating issues but rarely address the root causes. Build more nuclear and conventional power plants, resevoirs, water treatment facilities...snd stop paving everything, leave some earth about.

#4, when we bought our little horse farm in northern Virginia, it was cooled and heated by a heat pump. It worked pretty well for the half of the house nearest the pump, but not the other half. We had a small wood stove which helped but we wound up having to add a second heat pump and when it was being installed, the technician told us that we were at the geographic northern edge of where heat pumps were sufficient.
Mandating them any further north is simply insanity.
I wonder how the governor’s mansion in NY is heated and cooled. And I’ll bet my next social security check that it has a gas stove.

And this is just the beginning. Klaus and the WEF (aka the Great Reset crowd) have big plans for us. But global resistance is growing rapidly. As we see in the attached article, the WEF's annual meeting is forthwith but under very serious armed guard this time -

From what I understand, this whole gas stove thing was started by AOC when she cherry picked a few articles that stated gas stoves might promote asthma, and then AOC tweeted about it. Then the hundred plus thousand followers of this nitwit started making noise, and the MSM picked up on it and ran with it.

We wash our dishes by hand while the water continually runs and wastes I'm sure gallons of water before placing them in the dishwasher and washing them a second time. That's because our dishwasher can only clean clean dishes. If you put a dirty dish in the dishwasher, the dirt will get baked onto the plates. That's progress for you. And crony capitalism. In GE's case, it didn't make them money. It simply destroyed their reputation. Now it's any brand except GE for light bulbs and appliances.

Face it, there is NO part of your life that the 'Progessives' don't want to control and that extends as far as the sexuality of your children. Guns, cars, appliances, your health care, your food and water, even the air you breath and the thoughts you dare to think. NOTHING is safe from their predations. They're from the government and they're here to help. Yeah, right.

My better half loves her wood fires, so we run a fireplace with an insert, during the cold days. Fortunately, there's not a law against wood fires, yet! And there's not much smoke to give us away should it ever become illegal.

Bet this is why the great pretender Obama put in a 75000 gallon commercial gas tank in his yard on Martha's Vineyard. He knows what is up. Bet his house is heated with gas and if they cook, they cook with gas. Ask him. I dare you!!!!

There are at least 8 bins full of incandescent light bulbs in my storage room. Incandescents are available on eBay. Somewhat expensive. Get while you can.

#13 I agree with you in general, but I have a 2 yr old GE dishwasher that is wonderful. It takes a long time, but even stainless steel pots and pans come out shiny and very clean. But my GE top loading washing machine is absolutely terrible! GE says it saves water and that is true, it only 2-3 uses gallons of water to wash AND 2 gallons to rinse. There is a mechanism that allows you to use more water (which is absolutely necessary) however that mechanism is a button which you must press 40 or 50 times to get enough water to clean your clothes. There are not many things in this world I waste time hating, but the GE top loading washing machine comes very close.

The Energy Crazies need to be stopped, along with the EPA. They have moved far beyond the laws which they THINK enable this tyranny.
And I have removed the restrictors in my sink faucets and in my shower heads. Some designs can't be easily modified for full flow, others are simple.
Get your gas stoves now, before they ban them.

I've asked to no avail so maybe someone here can answer my question: What are you saving the water for? Bonus question: If you don't save the water does that mean it will disappear and never return? And will the earth become devoid of water?

First, I had to replace a broken toilet with a low capacity 3 gallon one which I still have to flush twice using 6 gallons of water thanks Al Gore. Second, I had to purchase expensive squiggly bulbs which barely lit a room with deadly mercury in them if they broke, I stocked up on incandescent bulbs still hoarding them. Now this nonsense but they better pull up by gas meter and supply to my house if they try this. No one is going to take my gas heating furnace, hot water heater or stove without a fight from me. I'll defend this with my assault weapon and semi-auto handguns so go ahead and make my day.

I have a partial answer for #22. This is not a rebuttal, but simply explanation.
I agree with all the probelms with the "water saving" devices entering every part of our lives and I detest them. However; they have come into play around here. We operate on ground water. Imports (two legged locusts)are coming into the area in swarms from California. Real Estate people are telling them there is plenty of water, just dig a well and use all you want including swimming pool or whatever you desire. The fact is, our groundwater is a very slow moving source of water. Studies have been shown that show it takes 10,000 years or more for water to move a couple of counties over where it enters the ground to here. That area is getting thick with foreigners from Kalifornia and other places like Austin too. With 64 wells per square mile, (popular 10 acre size lot), our water won't last long.
Anything to slow the invaders' use of water is a good thing.

While all the fuss was going on about gas stoves, the EPA is moving to BAN ALL THE REFRIGERANTS in common use today for air conditioning and refrigeration.
