Representative James Comer (R., Ky.), the incoming chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said Friday the FBI “needs to be dismantled” after the latest installment of the “Twitter files” revealed the bureau was in constant contact with Twitter before Elon Musk took over. The FBI exchanged more than 150 emails with former Twitter Trust and Safety head Yoel Roth between January 2020 and November 2022, journalist Matt Taibbi reported on Friday. Roth’s team worked to censor the New York Post‘s October 2020 report on Hunter Biden’s laptop. The FBI formed a task force of 80 agents to specialize in social media after the 2016 election

All of this is based on Hillary's Russiagate fraud within the federal government. Probability: The agents were mostly left of center. A senior team supervisor was. (Pronouns in email signature "he/him/his" - Gina Carano's persecution at Disney's Lucasfilm was, at heart, over failure to use pronouns.) "Dismantling" means deconstruction and reconstruction. The left got there first though. Musk is doing the same thing at Twitter but he's in California, San Francisco, the heart of hard left control.

In anticipation of those Deep Staters who would argue that we need the FIB to keep us safe and weed out lawbreakers, I suggest it has become the country's biggest law breaker, and people aren't safe from them. Garland can go with them. It's a RICO operation.

Agree shutdown completely. It’s a domestic spying operation, serving no public safety or security functions whatsoever. Comey, Wray, Garland and everyone else involved must do jail time. This is a crime and the evidence is public. Elon saved us months of investigation time to drag out this evidence. Now we have to show the connection back to Obama who started this whole thing.

Exactamundo. The FBI is totally corrupt, and has devolved into the Demokrat Secret Police. And to all the people who will say “but there are good, hard-working FBI agents all across the country!” I say: then where are they? Why haven’t they called out their superiors for their brazen traitorous treachery, and why haven’t they resigned in protest and gone public with the information about what’s been going on? Defund the Department of Justice. Fire them all. Start over at DOJ with new leadership that has NEVER worked for the government before. Rethink whether the FBI is really needed. If we decide it is, then rewrite the rules about what they can do. Move them out of D.C. and put the headquarters in the middle of the country - somewhere like Kansas City or Louisville, KY.

Dismantle the FBI (and CIA while you're at it) and arrest, prosecute, and jail those within those agencies who actually committed treason. I'm waiting to see Brennan and Clapper in orange jump suits. It could and should happen. And Wray as well.

Elon Musk has admitted "Blue Checks" could be purchased from unscrupulous twitter employees. So the fbi agents probably sold their access to twitter censorship - a badly kept secret - a simply rational way of explaining why posts were censored that were clearly satire (and weak jokes, etc.) Somebody got miffed they were being made fun of so they called upon their friendly neighborhood and utterly corrupt fbi agent to make the censorship happen. Prove me wrong.

Sean Hannity is a fool with his mantra that 99.9% of all FBI agents are decent upstanding men and women. They ALL are partisan hacks who should be tossed out of their jobs and prosecuted for whatever charges will get them convicted. They get closer to becoming the American Secret Police with each passing day.

While Comer may call for the FBI to be dismantled, as long as there are enough Democrats and RINOS in the US Senate to filibuster any such bill passed by a Republican controlled US House of Representatives no such law will pass out of the Congress. In the event that such a law ever passes out of Congress you can bet your boots that as long as Biden or any other Democrat hold the position of President and any such bill arrives at the White House will be vetoed by Biden or any other Democrat President. Now that the DC super bureaucrats are allied with the leftist Democrats there will not be any such changes in the politicized super bureaucracy as Comer imagines.

We all know that Obama never truly left the White House. The next day we get a poll that shows Trump beating DeSantis by 18 points. Some of the individual states look good for Trump. Some look good for DeSantis. What does this tell us? Nothing. The campaign has not begun. Trump just announced his intent to run for reelection in 2024. DeSantis just won a jaw-dropping reelection campaign in what used to be a vital swing state. But DeSantis has not yet announced his decision on a presidential bid. Until

The most recent edition of the 'Twitter Files' reveals that FBI officials demanded execs for the social media giant to give them information about how they were enforcing safety online. Journalist Matt Taibbi, who released the first batch of internal files about the Hunter saga earlier in December, posted emails showing the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force wanted info about state-run media's use of the site. Taibbi dubbed this release 'Twitter Files Supplemental' and seemed to wonder why the agency was unsatisfied with the idea that it 'had not observed much recent activity from official propaganda actors.'

Elon Musk is asking Twitter’s users to decide if he should stay in charge of the social media platform after acknowledging he made a mistake Sunday in launching new speech restrictions that banned mentions of rival social media websites. In yet another drastic policy change, Twitter had announced that users will no longer be able to link to Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon and other platforms the company described as “prohibited.” But the move generated so much immediate criticism, including from past defenders of Twitter’s new billionaire owner, that Musk promised not to make any more major policy changes without an online survey of users.

He told Bahamas regulators he was "deeply sorry for ending up in this position." But when Bankman-Fried was escorted out of his penthouse apartment in Nassau in handcuffs, it still wasn't clear what he was apologizing for, having stridently denied committing fraud to CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin, ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, and across Twitter for weeks.

The Democratic mayor of El Paso, Texas, declared a state of emergency Saturday as the Covid-19-era pandemic policy, Title 42, is set to end Wednesday. Title 42 had allowed the administration to enforce border-control measures as a means to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. “We know that the influx on Wednesday will be incredible . . . we felt it was a proper time today to call a state of emergency,” Mayor Oscar Leeser stated during a press conference Saturday. Title 42 was first used by the Trump administration as a means to curtail illegal immigration during the pandemic.
