Over 70 Per Cent of Children Aged 7-12

More than 70 per cent of children aged 7-12 are now afraid of climate change according to the results of a survey. More than seven in ten children aged 7-12 are now worried about climate change, research conducted by a UK-based start-up has reportedly found. It comes amid reports from various experts that children and teenagers of various demographics are experiencing high rates of mental health difficulties, with one school councillor earlier this year saying that anxiety rates have hit an all-time high post-lockdown. According to a report by Euronews, the survey — which polled 1,000 children born between 2010 and 2015 on their views regarding the environment — found

When i am around my grand nieces and grand nephews, only a couple of them are at this point old enough to grasp this stuff, but if anything about "man made global warming" or "climate change" comes up, I make sure to let them know that the stories are just fake stories and there is nothing bad actually going on, and whatever changes MIGHT happen are not caused by anything that humans are doing. I emphasize to not believe people who tell them those stories, and to use their own eyes to see that nothing is actually changing significantly. I just saw an news article that the Idaho ski areas opened up the earliest that they have in 28 years. If you look at the sunspot data, it shows steadily decreasing sunspot numbers for the last 4 of the 11 year cycles. Fewer sunspots has been correlated with colder climate multiple times in history. IMO, the chances of us having more global cooling due to changes in the sun are FAR higher than any changes that are related to mankind. Human activities have no affect on the global climate.

Nothing wrong with believing in climate change, just not man made climate change. The climate is changing but it's mostly just natural and as I've always said its time to start figuring out how to deal with nature. When all cars are gone and there is no oil for industry nature is just going to keep changing. When wheat no longer grows in Kansas we had better have figured out by that time where it will grow. But just placing blame won't solve the problem. Maybe the kids can figure it out.

How can anyone not expect children to be frightened. Many liberal and crazed adults are frightened. The climate is like the weather. You can talk about it but you can't do anything about it. Sure we can clean the air, and build sea walls. but Mother Nature runs the climate and the weather. These children are being frightened by "Chicken Little's"

When I was 7, the school (in particular, the Weekly Reader) had us afraid of global cooling and convinced that we would end up starving to death if we weren't killed in the wars that would break out over natural resources. The very same Liberal media has terrorized another generation with doomsday hysteria, after their hysterical scenario of doom from 50 years ago didn't materialize the way they said. They deserve an epithet vulgar enough to get me banned if I posted it.

I remember the days when we children had to go under our desks during nuclear attack drills, and i also remember thinking, "This makes no sense, hiding under a desk with no walls to protect me." But then, after the drills, we went about our usual school day, we played at recess, we went home and changed clothes to go out and play, climb trees, maybe play army with my brothers, until dark and Mom called us in for supper. In short, we were not propagandized about fearful scary things day in and day out. As one of our Ldotters said, this is child abuse. They are not learning the difference between real and fantasy, differentiation which ought to be learned at a very young age, essential to being grounded in reality and having an integrated personality, not all mangled up and DISintegrated, angry, fearful. The Left has been at this for decades. It is not easy to deprogram after years of brainwashing and indoctrination.

President Biden met with congressional leaders of both parties on Tuesday to discuss lame-duck session priorities, including passing legislation to avert a looming rail strike that could devastate the U.S. economy.  'I asked for Congress, whether they'd be willing to come in and talk about what we're going to do between now and Christmas in terms of legislation,' Biden said at the top of the meeting. 'There's a lot to do in resolving the rail strike,' Biden said.  'Congress has to act to prevent it. It's not an easy call, but I think we have to do it - the economy's at risk.'

Several top conservatives are warning that if House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, the Republican nominee for Speaker of the House, does not win the speakership election on the floor of the House on Jan. 3, 2023, a “doomsday scenario” could emerge where Democrats undercut GOP power. In such a scenario, concerns are rising that so-called moderate—or establishment Republicans—are willing to band together to make a deal with the Democrats to elect a moderate Republican as speaker with Democrat votes in exchange for a House rules change that hands the incoming Democrat minority significant power over how subpoenas can be issued.

Again, that election is just eight days away, so it is indeed "the final days."

American consumers and virtually all industries could take a hit at the beginning of the holiday season if workers do strike as soon as Dec. 5. Congress could intervene and impose contract terms on railroad workers, which is what Mr. Biden is urging them to do. Thanks to the Railway Labor Act, passed in 1926, Congress can force workers back to their stations with a congressional resolution.
