polls in the midterm elections, a dire

American novelist Thomas Wolfe noted in his 1935 work Of Time And The River that the baseball World Series regularly coincides with the ‘furious apogee’ of an election, with its ‘speeches, accusations, dire predictions and impassioned promises’.
Both events, Wolfe wrote, ‘gave the average American a thrill of pleasurable anticipation. It was the desire of a man to see a good show, to “take sides” vigorously in an exciting contest . . . but not to be too deeply troubled or concerned by the result’.
What a difference 90-odd years can make. For according to President Joe Biden, today’s midterm elections are not between the Democrats and Republicans, but between democracy itself

"I shall never condone Trump’s conduct on January 6 last year, when he incited violent attacks on the Capitol Building. And it is certainly disturbing that there are more than 300 candidates seeking elected office this year who still believe that the 2020 presidential election was ‘stolen’.
Don't believe Mr. Ferguson was in Washington 2 years ago.
So it is unlikely that he has any more accurate information about those events
than he did about his "200 million" COVID dead that destroyed Western Civ. (Hey, Hey. Ho, Ho.)
Also don't believe Mr. Ferguson has produced any evidence that proves
that the 2020 presidential election wasn't ‘stolen’.
What exactly does Mr. Ferguson know about the Pennsylvania Constutition's
four conditions on absentee ballots?
But Mr. Ferguson does seem to enjoy wrapping himself
in comforting globalist lies.
He is probably gets many interviews in Davos.
There is a sea change acoming...

This is an “OK” article which seems to downplay the REAL threat to American Representative Democracy posed by the now-radicalized Democrat party. Election safeguards and Republican lawyers will likely diminish the election integrity threat from Democrat actors.
The Ministry of Truth and the censorship of political opposition and COVID opinion are some hallmarks of Democrats’ totalitarian leanings and Americans, stunned by Democrats’ inflation, wokeness, and gender identity BS have had quite enough of the Progressives.

This article certainly contains some crazed assertions.
FTA: “ Drawing on the recent attempted kidnapping of congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and the assault on her husband, Paul,”
Any facts that pawl’s temporary worker was trying to kidnap nasty in a ransom of red chief sort of way?
FTA: “ I shall never condone Trump’s conduct on January 6 last year, when he incited violent attacks on the Capitol Building.”
It was first and foremost indisputably a failure to provide proper security. There has never been any evidence that Trump incited the violence. He planned the rally but what people did later was from their own volition. “But for” causation is not evidence of culpability.
FTA: “ And it is certainly disturbing that there are more than 300 candidates seeking elected office this year who still believe that the 2020 presidential election was ‘stolen’.”
None of the 300 are merely concerned about aspects of the election and securing future elections? The writer thinks he’s a mind reader.
But there are some factual statements in other matters, such as border crossings.

Democracy is not on the ballot.
What is on the ballot is Biden's failures, his incompetence, his senility, his stupidity, his blatant lies, and his corruption. He is the most incompetent, inept, and divisive President this Republic has had since James Buchanan.

For the math-challenged, 1935 until now is NOT 90 odd years. It is 87. One could say: 80 some, or NEARLY 90. His other statements presented as fact, are likely as faulty. I guess a screed was due, and he had to eat.

I lost this in the first paragraph. President Trump did NOT incite anything on January 6th. We will find out what really happened if the 1,400 hours of video from that day is finally available to be analyzed by honest investigators. Find the FBI plants and antifa and watch what they did. Heads will roll.

Niall, it's easy to tell who you would have voted for in 2020. You fit right in at the DM. Are you even allowed to vote here.

Has Hillary ever offered one piece of evidence other than repeating ad nauseum that the Russians stile the 2016 election from her for Trump? And yet, obvious shenanigans from 2020 but we're the election denier conspiracy nuts. Yeah....

Have you noticed how suddenly the comments on lucianne are mixed with doom and gloom...just as WE conservatives are inspired by President Trump and his message for America....WE have our champion and no amount of rino interference will change our minds....I'm proud to be an American...where at least I know I'm free.....

Trump should not run again as the can only be in office for 4 years. De Santas should run because he can be in the office for 8 years. Trump is too abrasive and is not liked by women in some cases, enough that he could lose the election. Trump would be excellent at supporting another candidate.
