Virginia’s Republican Lt. Governor, Winsome Sears, said Thursday during an appearance on Fox Business that she “could not support” Donald Trump should he decide to run for the White House in 2024. Speaking to Neil Cavuto, Sears noted a few good things Trump did, especially for black Americans, then said that a true leader should recognize “that it’s time to step off the stage.” “His administration, when it came to the economy, helped us, because black unemployment was the lowest it had ever been historically, and then, of course, when it came to education he forgave his administration the loans that historically black colleges and universities

Not her decision. I have followed politics since I was 12 years old and I'm in my mid-70's now. Never have I seen such vitriol, lies, downright hatred of one man like I'm seeing now for Trump. Daily Mail is plastered with lies and contortions of the truth. Fact is millions want him to run. Millions will vote for him. Tens of thousands still show up for his rallies. No one has the right to tell us who we should vote for.

The Dems are hoping that a Trump vs DeSantis rivalry will cause a schism in the Republican party. Trump's criticism of DeSantis after he turned Florida back to red was the opening shot. I never cease to be amazed at the Republican ability to shoot themselves in the foot.

This is a surprise to me. It is like a secret coalition has been formed to prevent President Trump from having any avenue on which to make an attempt to re-enter Presidential politics. The number of people coming out pulling their support is sending a message to the former President. Pack it in. There is no equivocation either. Frankly, you all know I am a Trump supporter but if I am honest I have to admit that his comments recently makes me ask myself, why is he doing this? He is committing so many unforced errors. Serving up this red meat on a silver platter to his detractors is inexplicable. I don’t want to see him self-destruct but he appears to be on that path. I honestly do not understand this. All he has to do is focus on his success without the braggadocio and articulate a winning plan for the future. If he can’t do that, he will slowly lose much of his support. You cannot win the Presidency lobbing bombs constantly. Voters expect more. He has it in him to win. We have seen many examples of it and they were so effective. His speeches articulating his vision for this country were inspiring. We need more of that and much less bombastic rhetoric. If he can discipline himself to find that inner thoughtful man, he can persuade voters to support him. If not and he believes his pathway to victory is his ability to trash talk, I fear he has done to himself what the democrats could not do.

Well did you read it? If Lt Guv Sears is trying to criticize DJT she's gonna hafta try harder as she cited some of his greatest hits! Then she pushed back on his separation from DeSantis. A house divided. Good for her! Trump Does have to embrace DeSantis. Good advice. Trump is not gonna survive a MAGA civil war. No side will and both sides need to know that. He needs a role going fwd. Can't just retire politics and let his family face endless swamp state litigation from the Deep State Injustice dept. Work it out DeSantis.

Conservative Treehouse has an explanation for the Trump DeSantis discussion. In a nutshell, the establishment is pushing a candidate (DeSantis) who has the same chance of winning in 2024 as Romney or McCain did against Obama in 2008/2012. Those two candidates were pushed by the establishment to stop the Tea Party momentum in its tracks which they did. They don’t care if they lose an election, they want to kill off MAGA for good. Trump is trying to save MAGA at all costs. It’s ugly, it’s brutal but he remembers how the establishment stopped this movement the last time and he’s willing to lose a few supporters to save MAGA.

Dear Winsome Sears, you are doing exactly the thing I am frustrated with Donald Trump. What has happened to not bashing and supporting your fellow Republican? Republicans were supposed to be celebrating a blowout but instead were finger-pointing at GOP leaders — Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump — after big wins for the party never materialized and the Senate was declared safely in Democratic hands for another two years. A group of angry Senate Republicans is mounting a last-minute challenge to halt their party’s leadership elections scheduled for Wednesday. They are gathering signatures on a letter demanding a delay in the wake of the midterm fiasco. It could jeopardize the political future of Mr. McConnell, 80, who is seeking a ninth term as the chamber’s Republican leader.

As RedState reported, crypto-exchange FTX collapsed after its much-lauded founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, appeared to make improper transfers of customer money. Somewhere between $1-2 billion of that amount has now gone missing and Bankman-Fried also has disappeared. What makes this so interesting, though, isn’t just that a lot of really wealthy people got scammed. It’s that Bankman-Fried also happens to be one of the top donors to the Democratic Party. In fact, outside of George Soros, no one has done more to bankroll Democrat efforts since the 2020 election. Joe Biden alone received a whopping $5.2 million.

Though NBC News cannot project control of the House at this time, the Decision Desk has released its estimate for the U.S. House of Representatives as a whole, which reflects the most probable outcome for partisan control. To arrive at the House Estimate, the NBC News Decision Desk calculates the probability of a Democratic, Republican or third-party victory in each of the 435 individual House races based on pre-election research. On election night, election analysts examine all the available vote data in real time, adjusting the probabilities for each House race accordingly. Based on those probabilities, NBC News’ Decision Desk then calculates the most probable outcome

We may only be a few days past the last election, but the talk of 2024 is already heating up on both sides. Donald Trump is expected to announce yet another run for president on Tuesday. Opinions on how successful it will be have varied wildly, but we’ll have nearly two years to find out. What about Joe Biden, though? He’s been all over the place when asked about running for re-election, with his resolve seeming to harden over the summer leading up to the 2022 election. After Republicans unexpectedly got shellacked, the assumption then moved to it being assured. Why wouldn’t Biden run again? He just dodged

WASHINGTON — Democrats defied historical trends and defeated several candidates backed by former President Donald Trump to keep control of the Senate, providing enormous relief for President Joe Biden. As of 7 a.m. CST on Sunday, Republicans are assured of winning 214 seats in the House with the Democrats winning 210, according to CBS News. That leaves 11 seats still to be decided, most of them in California, where five days after the in-person voting ended, nine races remain to be called.
