Michael Beschloss Says GOP Victory in
Midterms Will Mean ‘Our Children Will
Be Arrested and Conceivably Killed’

MSNBC presidential historian Michael Beschloss on Wednesday night warned that if Republican candidates win their races next week, American democracy and the free press could end, historians may no longer exist, and “our children” could all die at the hands of a “brutal authoritarian system.” President Joe Biden said in his Wednesday night speech that, in the upcoming midterms, “democracy itself is “at stake,” a message that MSNBC’s Chris Hayes and much of the media have been repeating for months. Hayes played clips from the speech, including the president saying that electing certain Republicans is a “path to chaos” —

Comments:

This is one of the clowns that whispers in Biden's ear about his 'greatness'. Sounds like he needs a padded room and lots of Quaaludes.

I don't know what passes for the "rule of law" in Beschloss World but IMO it appears he wants to maintain two different sets of rules rather than a single set of laws that apply to everyone without regard to which end of the political spectrum the person resides. And I am so tired of their overused mantra of "doing things for the children" since most of their efforts lean toward doing things TO the children. "...if Republican candidates win their races next week, American democracy and the free press could end, historians may no longer exist, and “our children” could all die at the hands of a “brutal authoritarian system." It's not Republicans that are tearing down statues and rewriting history to make it "woke". It's not Republicans that are forcing building, parks, military bases, and pretty much everything else in this country tochange their names to "woke" names. It's not Republicans that are fighting things like voter ID requirements and limited absentee voting to assure election integrity for all Americans. It's not Republicans that are rioting in the streets, burning down buildings, killing cops, attacking politicians or politician's spouses, and every other form of partisan political violence. The Demon-Rats have been doing all of these things that he is accusing the Republicans of "planning" to do with absolutely no evidence!!! But you can never accuse a lie-beral or a Demon-Rat of having enough working brain cells to apply logic, reason, or facts, to any subject!!! They just understand "feelings", and feel like those mean old Republicans are going to do all the evil things the Demon-Rats have been doing and do it so much better. So I guess, in a sick and warped sort of way, he is paying the Republicans a compliment!!!

Democrat Campaign Chief Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) encouraged New York voters struggling to afford gas prices and groceries to eat Chef Boyardee to offset the record levels of inflation seen under President Joe Biden’s administration. “According to @spmaloney, Hudson Valley residents who are struggling to put gas in their tank and food on their table should eat Chef Boyardee,” Maloney’s Republican challenger, Mike Lawle, tweeted along with a recent clip of the Democrat discussing inflation. “I have a better idea — let’s Fire Sean Maloney and reduce inflation so that New Yorkers can afford to live here and eat what they want.” [Video]

Conservative commentators who are typically Donald Trump's allies turned on the former president after he went after Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday. Trump mocked DeSantis as "Ron DeSanctimonious" while discussing the 2024 Republican presidential primary at a rally in Pennsylvania. The pair is widely considered to be the top contenders for the Republican nomination, though DeSantis has offered no indication he intends to run. Commentators called out Trump for creating division in the ranks just three days before the midterm elections. "DeSantis is an extremely effective conservative governor who has had real policy wins and real cultural wins.

I will always be grateful for the presidency of Donald Trump and, if he is the GOP nominee for president in 2024, I will support him. But I am very disturbed that yesterday, at an airport rally in Pennsylvania, he attacked Ron DeSantis...with one of his derisive nicknames, except that this one doesn’t even make any sense: President Reagan of blessed memory left us with a very useful 11th commandment: “Thou shalt not attack another Republican." In today’s political environment, with the Democrat party in the hands of the radical left, and wrecking our economy, society and ability to defend ourselves, defeating them and taking control

President Biden gave a bizarre, disjointed speech in San Diego declaring that “I have my shotgun waiting for the wolf” to ward off recession while vowing to shut down coal plants across the nation and branding Afghanistan a “God-forsaken place.” Biden appeared to basically ignore prepared remarks that were intended to address the passage of this year’s $280 billion bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act. Instead, he referred to the New York Times “Goldilocks report” in a ploy that whiffs of desperation just days before the midterm elections where the majority of Americans are laser-focused on inflation and the economy… one of the biggest weaknesses of Democrats.
