Loyalty is Philly Special.
The World Series intensity in the City of Brotherly Love was amplified when two local businesses refused to feed the Astros ahead of Game 3 on Tuesday. (Tweet/Video) Angelo’s Pizzeria in South Philadelphia, an institution in the city, refused to provide catering for the visitors.
“If you think I’d cook for the Astros, you’re out of your mind,” a man said i n a video posted to the eatery’s Instagram account. “We said no to them.”

Where is the love? People are less kind and hospitable these days. Imagine bragging about losing money simply because you favor one team over another. I would have fed them.

If I were the Astros, I would be extremely suspicious of eating anything in this petty, hate-filled city. With the kind of behavior exhibited here, the cooks would make their order "special" by spitting in/on it, or worse.

Yes, it's petty to refuse this kind of request. However, being from the Philly area, Philly sport teams are like family to the fans, and you don't mess with family. Loyalties to the teams run REAL deep especially when it comes to the Eagles. You just don't wear an opposing team jersey or anything like that to an Eagles game in Philly unless your goal is to go in without any clothes or end up in the hospital. Phillies fans at the BANK are a bit more tolerant and understanding. I grew up with every Philly sport team losing all the time except the Flyers. It's ingrained in me to just expect the worst and be surprised if teams play better. It's why I don't watch any Philly sport team play on TV. Ever. I don't need the aggravation.

There are very very few places we eat at for the same reasons number 7 wrote. Cops, I’m sure, always have to be on their guard when going into a liberal-run establishment, for want of better choices.

Wake up Grays. This is what the average Millennial server is thinking about you. You're not on their team. They're going to f**k with you the first chance they get. Behold the world of identity politics, where none of us any longer identify as Americans.

If the games get back to Houston to finalize the World Series don't forget this city of Houston treat the Philly fans the same way. I went to Philly once it's not very 'Brotherly' at all.

When I lived in St. Louis and had Cardinals season tickets, the Phillies team was the worst in sportsmanship. Cardinal fans, as many know, are hospitable to fans of other teams and respectful of a good play from an opponent. Just one more reason to hate the Phillies and the "City of Brotherly Love." Let's go Astros!!

And BTW # 15 if they come to Houston they will be fed. If they have brains they might even move.

Jeez, some of the comments! Lighten up folks. This is such a Philly thing to do. They're playing to their base customers and those folks aren't from Houston. How would you like to look an irate and disappointed customer in the eye and explain why you fed the other guys? You want to enjoy Philly? Don't wear other teams colors dude, it's that simple.

So they are choosing to lose money over a stupid game?!?!?!? Mental illness is apparently a serious problem for Angelo's Pizza.
We are not talking politicians who have the power to make life and death decisions -- I understand why sometimes businesses boycott them. We are talking about grown men who play a kid's game for lots of money. Any of the Astros could be traded to the Phillies next season, or vice versa. All professional athletes are mercenaries these days who play for the highest bidder. There isn't a player on the Phillies that wouldn't take a trade to the Dodgers or Yankees next season for a few million more dollars. So for this business to show that kind of loyalty to a team where the players certainly don't have that sort of loyalty is just crazy!!!
