With polls tightening and the U.S. Senate race coming down the wire in Pennsylvania, Democrat John Fetterman has resorted to ad hominem attacks to distract from his sorry record -- and the stupider and pettier, the better.
He's down to calling his Republican rival, Mehmet "Dr. Oz" Oz a puppy killer, a bad doctor, a guy who looks like some character in The Simpsons, and heaven forfend, a man who drinks red wine instead of beer at tailgates: (Snip for tweet) Which didn't go over well with regular Pennsylvanians, who drink wine and beer at tailgate parties, and didn't particularly like being stereotyped rather narrowly as beer-drinking hardhats.

There’s nothing wrong with drinking beer or wine if that’s your preference. What is wrong is that Fetterman is being extremely condescending to Pennsylvania voters who he seems to think are classless and stupid.

Fetterman epitomizes the immaturity of the liberal political apparatus. It’s like they are running for high school class president regardless of the race at hand. Fetterman is the useful idiot (Quasimodo) of Pennsylvania democrats.

Under his breath, Fetterman muttered, 'Curst be he that moves my bones.'

The Bible tells us that a glass of wine is good for the tummy. Not the whole gallon jug, mind you, and also speaks against drunkenness, but a glass aids in digestion.

Anyone who’s been to tailgate parties knows anything goes (as far as food and drink). Fetterman has clearly never been to a PSU tailgate party.

I'm sure more than a few blue collar 'hardhats' drink wine too. Many families in PA have ancestors from Europe who brought the wine-drinking culture with them - especially Italians and Greeks.

Harris - Fetterman 2024 - if you think things are bad now.
Why can’t more people grasp that Kamala is the VP of the US and that Fetterman is the Lt Governor of PA. And that Kamala may become president in 2025, if not sooner, by replacing a senile and corrupt Biden And Fetterman may be one of 100 US Senators. How did things go so wrong?

Fetterman is the quintessential Pennsylvania legislative crook. They have been famous for it for years. He looks and acts the part to perfection!

Pennsylvania has outstanding wineries on their Lake Erie shoreline. A vintner there once told us that the southern shore of Lake Erie is one of the best places in the world for wine grapes. It's the temperate summer and cold, cold winters. It doesn't surprise me in the least that Pennsylvanians like wine.

Fetterman reminds me of Uncle Fester from the Adams Family.

I've been to plenty of tailgate parties where people drink wine. There's nothing elite at all about it. My daughter can't drink beer but she does like a glass of white wine.

Is anyone else tired of all these constant tweets/retweets/duplicate photos interrupting Monica's articles? Very hard to follow what the article is about. Makes for lazy reporting.
Let Letterman destroy himself with his lousy agenda and forget about the ad hominems.

Oz is a Muslim...they're forbidden to drink alcohol. That's the point of Fetterman's remark. Not "well it's perfectly OK to have a beer of some wine". Of course it's OK with most people but NOT with Muslims. I can't believe that not one comment managed to make that assumption.

Does "owned" in the headline mean adopted in a good way? As in, we'll vote for him? Or condescendingly? As in, get outta town creep; we're with Oz?

People keep saying that Fetterman looks like Uncle Fester, I don't think that is true. He looks like the love child of Uncle Fester and Lurch -- and in his world, that could totally happen.

Gee... I'd like to find someone who is willing to sell me a loft for a buck. Must be nice to grow up privileged and be given a 50K allowance for half his life. I'm not at all a fan of Dr. Oz and I wish he wasn't Muslim but I'll hold my nose.... My state can't afford to have the yutz that is FetterWOman in the Senate.

Fetterman really needs to look in the mirror before he opens his mouth.
Dye him yellow to replace any number of different characters out of the Simpsons.

Who really paid the 50,000 dollars a year for Fetterman? His daddy, or George Soros? Or botth?? And did Fetterman pay any income taxes on that 50,000 dollars?? Did Daddy pay gift taxes??
50,000 dollars, net, is the equivalent of about 80,000 dollars gross wages.
Fetterman was living large on someone else's money - which sort of defines a politician, hey?

I would vote Dr. Oz over Fetterman. Fetterman is another mentally deficient Joe Biden. If Dr. Oz does not do a good job, elect someone else at the next election, but give him a chance.

I'm all in for heart health and I read that red wine in moderation is good for it. It has resveratrol which helps blood pressure, blood flow and cholesterol. Baby Fensterman is a Looney Tunes cartoon clown who does not belong anywhere near the Senate. We already have enough idiotic democrats infesting the upper chamber. We don't need another one.
