Liberal media reports have NBC canning Chuck Todd as host of Meet the Press. His ratings tanked and his fellow liberals mock him weekly . The Daily Beast reported, "John Reiss, who had been the show's executive producer for the last eight years, was officially punted over to the NBC News Now streaming service, and David P. Gelles, a long-time CNN producer who helped develop the now-defunct CNN+ streamer, was parachuted in to help fix the sinking show, which is down 21% in total viewership and 24% in the key advertising demographic compared to last year . . .."

Meet the Press (and NBC) died the day Tim Russert died. Sure, he was a Dem, but he was fair. He grilled both sides. I am certain he would be appalled at what has happened to the network.

I once watched a portion of Meet the Depressed maybe two decades ago and this is the first time I see who Chuck Todd is when I went to the article. I heard the name but never saw the man or his face. All I can say is so long Chuck I hardly knew ya'. You would have to be a real stinker like Brian potato head Stelter for liberals to think about ditching you. Is there any real liberal that liberals like or rally around?

Remember a story about 'Ol Chucky that will throw some light. At the time ACA or 0bamacare was being thrust down our throats, the NBC bosses were trying hard to show that 0bamacare had over 50% approval. But surveys were coming up short. Todd, who was then NBC News Director examined the latest survey reports and came to the conclusion that the survey (39% approval) was low because people didn't 'understand' the ACA fully. So he ordered a pre-amble with 'explanations' and then re-run the same survey. The result? Approval dropped to 29%. Totally clueless as to what an average persons' reaction would be. IMO, it is the Left Wing ideology that poisons and warps their minds...

So it appears that when push comes to shove the leftist networks are pragmatic and will cut a loser if it's costing them money. CNN also seems to know this as they dump Mr. Potato Head and possibly several other leftist opinion readers. Maybe they learning that conservatives outnumber liberals and adjusting accordingly. I'll wait and see...never trust a liberal.

Senate Republicans found themselves shaken and disoriented Thursday after finding out their leader Sen. McConnell, who in January became the longest serving party leader in Senate history, has led the Senate GOP conference since 2005 and has helped guide his colleagues through some of the biggest moments in recent history — the 2008 financial collapse, the near default of the U.S. government in 2011, the fiscal cliff of 2012, the two impeachment trials of …

On a clear, sunny day in April 2014, two F/A-18s took off for an air combat training mission off the coast of Virginia. The jets, part of my Navy fighter squadron, climbed to an altitude of 12,000 and steered towards Warning Area W-72, ... Just at the moment the two jets crossed the threshold, one of the pilots saw a dark gray cube inside of a clear sphere — motionless against the wind, fixed directly at the entry point. The jets, only 100 feet apart, zipped past the object on either side. The pilots had come so dangerously close

New York — The New York City suburbs nearly cost Gov. Kathy Hochul her job. Now, far from treading with caution, she’s pushing a proposal that may be radioactive in the bedroom communities that dot the region: A plan to mandate more housing in those suburban counties, some of the nation’s largest and wealthiest. Hochul wants to give the state bold new authority to override local zoning laws in cases where municipalities resist the measure, which she hopes will help address a housing shortage that’s made New York one of the least affordable places in the country.

There has been much perfervid shouting and rending of garments (or these days, parading about with red splotches on the crotches of their clothing or performative displays in Handmaid's Tale costumes -- red hooded capes) to protest the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. I believe the decision will not substantially lessen the number of abortions. On the other hand, I do think that it signals a significant retreat from the days when

Florida recently passed a law that leftist opponents and their collaborators in the media have branded the “Don’t Say Gay” law. Actually, however, the law does not say “don’t say gay.” [snip] Note the classrooms to which this prohibition applies – only kindergarten through third grade. And note the persons to whom it applies – only instructors, not students. And note the subject to which it applies – only sexual identity and sexual orientation, not any other sex issue. But using authority figures like teachers to indoctrinate kindergarteners into the wonders of transsexuality is something the left wants. Predictably, they’re PO’d about this
