Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) is giving its turnaround CEO the boot after delivering anything but a turnaround. The struggling retailer said Wednesday CEO Mark Tritton is leaving the company and the board, effective immediately. Board member and retail veteran Sue Gove is taking over the retailer on an interim basis. (Snip) Bed Bath saw same-store sales crash 27% at its namesake brand as shoppers pulled back on discretionary purchases while also shunning a more upscale push with fewer coupons at the company. Adjusted operating profits came in at a loss $224 million. The company ended the quarter with a

You may recall that Bed Bath & Beyond loudly announced they were canceling sales of MyPillow. A lot of good that did them - sales have plummeted!

Here's hoping that every business that contemptuously and publicly cut off availability of My Pillow products painfully loses customers until they relent. That includes BBBY and Wal-Mart, as well as several others, which I can do without. There's nothing they sell that I can't buy elsewhere. Shopping at BBBY with a friend ten years ago, I saw a stack of My Pillows, recalled all the commercials, and decided to give one a try after spending decades with various types of foam and down-filled pillows. After my first night sleeping on the My Pillow, I would never spend another night at home with any other pillow. Since then (and since surgery on my cervical spine) I've bought them in three fill levels: lavender (formerly white), green, and blue. All are excellent. So are Mike Lindell's Giza Dreams sheets. All of Mike's products are among the best you can find anywhere. (As I type this, I'm wearing My Slippers.)

We have several pillows and a lot of the towels. The best towels are the Beach towels. I bought a couple last summer to give grandkids as B-day presents. Really, really nice and BIG. for around $20. A few years ago my mom bought a mattress topper and used it twice and asked me to return it. She didn't like it because it made her bed too high and she felt like she was falling off the bed. I didn't argue with her, she was 90yrs old and at that age, you just kind of go along with what they want. I called the company, (they did have a return policy). They told me to take it to any local charity and they would refund her money when I sent in the receipt from the charity. I did, they did and my mom was very happy. Great company to do business with.

So gratifying to see karma do the rounds with all these woke businesses. When they started to slide hard-left a few years ago, I stopped shopping there; then discovered that other stores had similar, if not the same, goods for a lot less. While I feel bad for the employees who will be pink-slipped, it's a good thing that the corporate elites who show nothing for contempt for their customers, get a hard pink in the rear, where they keep their wallets.

I used to shop there all the time, but stopped going after they dropped MyPillow products. I see I'm hardly the only one. But I'm sure they'll offer all kinds of excuses for their problems that have nothing to do with siding with leftist jerks against their conservative homeowner base, just like woke movies only flop because they were released on the wrong weekend or something. Last week, I accompanied a friend who wanted to pick something up at our BBB. I haven't walked through their doors since they went woke. We completed 3/4 of our lap, and I entered the Twilight Zone, merchandised as Walgreens. The entire fourth corner of the store was drugstore stuff-shampoo, dish soap, band-aids, cleaning agents, etc. Having an advanced business degree, management, marketing, retail, and sales experience, my initial thought was, that they can't get goods from china so good on them for being creative and filling the space with inventory. Now I know the real story. Woke, baby!!!!!

In the first elections since the Supreme Court's consequential ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, Democratic participation in the primaries in Illinois, New York and elsewhere Tuesday was lower than previous midterm cycles — and pollsters say that's a bad sign for Democrats' chances in November. Compared to the 2018 midterms, where Democrats swept the House in a blue wave reaction to former President Donald Trump, the 2022 primary season has seen anemic participation from Democratic voters. That didn't change after the Supreme Court's decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization Friday, which reversed 50 years of precedent recognizing a constitutional

It’s been a rocky first month for White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Her answers have baffled reporters, and even made some of her White House colleagues wince. Inflation is mostly to blame for Biden’s catastrophic approval rating, of course. But I think what Axelrod describes here is an underrated reason for flagging left-wing support. It’s not (just) that his policies aren’t progressive enough. It’s the sense that he doesn’t “fight,” to borrow a term from righty populists. And when he does make a gesture towards fighting, like when he endorsed creating an exception to the filibuster for abortion rights, he’s destined to end up losing that fight. It doesn’t help either that he’s 79 years old. Watch two minutes of Axelrod here, which picks up with him discussing Biden’s call for a filibuster carve-out.
