The left-wing professional and political classes bequeathed a number of new protocols during the Trump derangement years. And it will be interesting to watch whether the Republicans abide by them in November should they take back the House and perhaps the Senate—and the presidency in 2024 as well. Will they follow the New Testament’s turn-the-other-cheek forbearance, or go for Old Testament style eye-for-an-eye retribution? What Are the New Rules? Will Republican magnanimity suffice to shame the Democrats to be more professional in the future? Or will t-t-for-tat deterrent reciprocity alone ensure a return to norms? Specifically, will Biden be impeached Trump-style, after losing the House in November?

It‘s now impossible to ignore our president’s cognitive decline. Public opinion polls indicate that most voters doubt his mental capacity to carry out his duties, and his public effusions confirm the accuracy of that assessment. Since his bizarre State of the Union address, Biden’s utterances have become less and less lucid and his few coherent statements are terrifying. He has called for regime change in a country with a huge nuclear arsenal and denounced its president as a war criminal. Yet the corporate media are generally sanguine about Biden’s verbal incontinence. Indeed, they have applauded it. So, what would frighten the Fourth Estate? Elon Musk on Twitter’s board of directors.

Days after Saturday’s annual Gridiron Club dinner, multiple attendees of the boujee 600-seat confab have come down with it — including Commerce Secretary GINA RAIMONDO, A.G. MERRICK GARLAND and Reps. ADAM SCHIFF (D-Calif.) and JOAQUIN CASTRO (D-Texas).
By Wednesday afternoon, another high-profile attendee — JAMAL SIMMONS, comms director to VP KAMALA HARRIS — revealed that he, too, tested positive. That test result came just a day after he shook former President BARACK OBAMA’s hand at the White House’s Obamacare party, where President JOE BIDEN and 200 other high-level officials hobnobbed maskless while celebrating the health care law.
I wanted to vomit yesterday. We're back to this tired game again. The Obamacare messaging wars will never end, and they will never get old. It's another part of the left's sustained gaslighting campaign. Biden touted the number of Americans who now have insurance through Obamacare. This was never the original intention of Obamacare—it was all marketed as legislation that would cut costs, some $2 trillion over a decade. That didn't happen.

Workers at an Amazon warehouse in Staten Island voted to unionize last week, and some of them say Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) abandoned them.

President Joe Biden was babbling dangerously during his recent trip to Poland to shore up the NATO alliance against Russia’s murderous invasion of Ukraine. And as he babbled and babbled, his White House staff poured sawdust on the puddles and tried cleaning it up again and again.
The man just would not stop.
Biden’s wide-open mouth was a firehose of senile anger, shooting out a torrent of unfocused danger. His words won’t shorten the conflict, but will likely prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people. His babbling strengthens Vladimir Putin in Russia, while dragging America and the rest of the world ever closer to nuclear confrontation.

The majority of voters are blaming increased prices at the pump on Russian President Vladimir Putin and oil companies more than energy policies from President Biden and Democrats, according to a new poll. California's Democratic-led Legislature wants to mandate a three-day weekend for all workers at large companies in the state. A new bill being discussed in the state assembly would see the official working week reduced from 40 hours to 32 for companies with 500 employees of more. Any work carried out beyond the 32-hour limit would run into overtime and be paid at time-and-a-half, while those working more than 12 hours a day or for more than seven days a week would be paid double their normal wage.(Snip)Employers would also be forbidden from reducing the workers' current salaries simply because they are working less.

This is the invocation of joy that begins Friedrich Schiller’s great Ode, whose first three stanzas were set by Beethoven in the final movement of his 9th Symphony. Baltimore Symphony conductor Marin Alsop has replaced them with doggerel from a local rapper. She explained to Baltimore magazine:
You know, the [Friedrich] Schiller poetry is phenomenal, but it’s not relevant for us today. (Snip) Alsop also inserted African drumming and a jazz ensemble between movements of Beethoven’s symphony.

Pope Francis is at it again. Although it is traditional for papal podiums to depict the crucifix, during his recent visit to the island of Malta, Pope Francis ditched the cross lest he offend Muslim migrants. As the archdiocese of Malta openly admitted, “The podium will not be adorned with a crucifix, given that the majority of migrants are Muslim.”
Instead, the podium backdrop used by Francis consisted of recycled plastic bottles with red blobs meant to highlight the two primary reasons Francis was visiting Malta -- to defend migrants and the environment:

Juneteenth is now a paid city holiday in New York City.New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced the decision on Monday, noting that it is "long overdue" and will take effect "immediately" this year on June 19. “Juneteenth is a time for reflection, assessment, and self-improvement," Adams said in a statement.
