There’s no denying it: Covid is rocking Washington right now. Days after Saturday’s annual Gridiron Club dinner, multiple attendees of the boujee 600-seat confab have come down with it — including Commerce Secretary GINA RAIMONDO, A.G. MERRICK GARLAND and Reps. ADAM SCHIFF (D-Calif.) and JOAQUIN CASTRO (D-Texas).
By Wednesday afternoon, another high-profile attendee — JAMAL SIMMONS, comms director to VP KAMALA HARRIS — revealed that he, too, tested positive. That test result came just a day after he shook former President BARACK OBAMA’s hand at the White House’s Obamacare party, where President JOE BIDEN and 200 other high-level officials hobnobbed maskless while celebrating the health care law.

I wanted to vomit yesterday. We're back to this tired game again. The Obamacare messaging wars will never end, and they will never get old. It's another part of the left's sustained gaslighting campaign. Biden touted the number of Americans who now have insurance through Obamacare. This was never the original intention of Obamacare—it was all marketed as legislation that would cut costs, some $2 trillion over a decade. That didn't happen.
Remember when Obama said, "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it"? That was PolitiFact's 2013 Lie of the Year.

What a great question! Why hasn’t anyone else raised it before today? Oh, wait …
To be fair, Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA) raised the issue almost four weeks ago. She tweeted this shortly before Punchbowl reported that the House Democrat caucus had grown increasingly uncomfortable with Joe Biden’s plan to outsource American national security to a “war criminal”:Earlier today, Luria joined fourteen others in the House Democratic caucus who posed the question more bluntly. If Biden insists that Vladimir Putin is a “war criminal” that needs to go “on trial,” and that he cannot be allowed to remain in power, then why in the world would Biden partner with Putin

Suspicions surrounding the identity of the "big guy" mentioned in a Hunter Biden email are ramping up, and author Peter Schweizer said Tuesday other members of the Biden family deserve to be scrutinized.
The "Red-Handed" author joined host Pete Hegseth on "Fox & Friends" to discuss the implications behind the Bidens' ties to China. "This is a Biden family scandal, and it involves Joe Biden," Schweizer began. "The way to think about it is Hunter Biden, James Biden and the other family members who are profiting off of Joe Biden's position – they're kind of like moons circling a planet and that planet is Joe Biden."

Workers at an Amazon warehouse in Staten Island voted to unionize last week, and some of them say Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) abandoned them.
The facility has made headlines since 2020, when workers first began to complain of conditions. Christian Smalls, who attempted to start a union, was fired. In February, he was arrested after he was asked to leave the facility.Last Friday, the Amazon Labor Union he helped found reported workers voted 1518 to 1154 to unionize. Ocasio-Cortez, whom union organizers have said had their support before abandoning them, celebrated on Twitter.
She shared the ALU tweet and a flexing emoji. She was quickly called out by podcaster Krystal Ball.

In just over 7 months, the Democrats will face their constituents in the midterm elections — and the voters are in a surly mood. Most polls suggest this dissatisfaction is about the state of the economy combined with a sense that, under President Biden and the Democrats, the country is careening from crisis to crisis. The latest Quinnipiac survey, for example, shows that only 36 percent of voters approve of the way Biden has handled the economy, and that inflation is their most urgent concern. According to the latest Morning Consult poll, 70 percent of voters believe the country is on the wrong track.

The Consumer Price Index rose by nearly 8 percent last month, the fastest rise in annual inflation in four decades. Prices are up across the board, with prices of fuel and food spiking particularly high, supply chains are falling apart, and store shelves are emptying. To say that America's current economic prospects are bleak is an understatement. But this current state of economic hardship is hitting people of color even harder.Inflation is an invisible tax on poor people, and the percentage of Black Americans in poverty is practically double their percentage of the total population. According to the U.S. Census, in 2019 Black Americans represented 23.8 percent

It’s been another bad week for the president, as White House staffers, and Biden himself on Monday, tried to clean up a string of troubling gaffes made during his crucial trip to meet with NATO leaders as the Ukraine war continued to rage.
With Russian President Vladimir Putin hinting that a nuclear response was possible if NATO directly intervenes in Ukraine or threatens Russia itself, Biden’s misstatements couldn’t have come at a worse moment. Yet, when asked about his ad-lib remarks to American servicemen in Poland, his response to the possible use of chemical weapons by Russia, and now, famously, his barely nuanced call

President Joe Biden was babbling dangerously during his recent trip to Poland to shore up the NATO alliance against Russia’s murderous invasion of Ukraine. And as he babbled and babbled, his White House staff poured sawdust on the puddles and tried cleaning it up again and again.
The man just would not stop.
Biden’s wide-open mouth was a firehose of senile anger, shooting out a torrent of unfocused danger. His words won’t shorten the conflict, but will likely prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people. His babbling strengthens Vladimir Putin in Russia, while dragging America and the rest of the world ever closer to nuclear confrontation.

Democrat extremism and the ongoing implosion of America’s government-run school system have given Republicans a seven-point advantage on who can better handle the issue of education.
Rasmussen asked 1,000 likely voters, “Who do you trust more to deal with education issues. Democrats or Republicans?” Only 36 percent said Democrats, while 43 percent said Republicans.

Sometimes, things are so bad that you have to latch onto anything to even try to produce a positive thought. That’s apparently where White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klain is.Klain, an avid user of social media and noted fan of Jennifer Rubin, has long been known for retweeting the most ridiculous media takes imaginable. And while he can usually find some form of lavish praise to push, that’s been in short supply lately. That led to this really awkward moment on Monday morning where Klain shared a tweet from the day before proclaiming Biden’s “significant lapse in discipline.”

Since Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was chosen by President Biden to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court, we’ve been encouraged by the White House, congressional Democrats, and the corporate media to celebrate her as the “first Black woman” nominated to serve on the Court. Yet, when asked during her confirmation hearing to define the term “woman,” she responded, “I can’t … I’m not a biologist.” The problem with this answer isn’t just that it was unworthy of a serious SCOTUS nominee. It is symptomatic of a debilitating disease that has infected our political discourse, rendering substantive policy debate all but impossible and endangering the republic.
