Keith Olbermann, formerly of CNN and ESPN, and now the host of his own YouTube channel, came out swinging in defense of Dr. Anthony Fauci on Monday — and wound up smacking himself with the idiot stick.
Olbermann, in response to the news that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) introduced an amendment that would eliminate Fauci’s job as director of the NIAID, told the senator that instead of going after Fauci, he should “become an actual doctor.” “You know what you should do instead of this, @RandPaul?” Olbermann tweeted. “Become an actual doctor.” [Tweet] What Olbermann apparently failed to realize is that Sen. Paul is a doctor.

Saudi and Chinese officials are in talks to price some of the Gulf nation's oil sales in yuan rather than dollars or euros, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The two nations have intermittently discussed the matter for six years, but talks have reportedly stepped up in 2022, with Riyadh disgruntled over the United States' nuclear negotiations with Iran and its lack of backing for Saudi Arabia's military operation in neighboring Yemen.
Nearly 80 percent of global oil sales are priced in dollars, and since the mid-1970s the Saudis have exclusively used the dollar for oil trading as part of a security agreement

COLUMBUS, OH – A grand jury has declined to bring charges against the Columbus police officer who fatally shot 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant last year. [Tweet] Officer Nicholas Reardon responded to a domestic dispute call on April 2021 on Legion Lane, where he was forced to fatally shoot Bryant as she attacked another girl with a knife
The Fraternal Order of Police said a grand jury declined to bring charges against Officer Reardon. FOP president Jeff Simpson said:
“The jury decided to return a no bill which means they did not proceed with any criminal charges against officer Reardon and found no criminal act. “That is pleasing to hear.

Hunter Biden's ex-business partner was convicted nearly four years ago of securities fraud and still he has not spent a day in prison. And now Devon Archer's lawyers are trying to delay his punishment yet again with a new appeal that did not amuse federal prosecutors.
Archer faces one year and one day in prison and was ordered last month to pay financial penalties of $15 million and over $43 million in restitution.
His arguments to appeal and postpone serving prison time have no merit, the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan told the trial judge Monday.
"Archer falls far short of meeting his burden of establishing

Ever since the COVID-19 vaccines were first made available, open and honest discussion about them, their efficacy, and their potential side effects has been subject to big-tech censorship—particularly regarding the mRNA vaccines by Pfizer and Moderna.
But maybe now we can finally have open discourse because a new peer-reviewed study from the CDC found significant instances of death and severe side effects from the mRNA vaccines.
While data shows that “most reported adverse events were mild and short in duration,” according to the study, which was published in the UK-based medical journal The Lancet, 6.6% of all side effects were categorized as “serious,” and resulted in “inpatient hospitalisation, prolongation of hospitalisation,

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) has been in U.S. custody since March 1, 2003, when he was captured in Rawalpindi, Pakistan during a joint CIA-Pakistani intelligence operation. Along with four other high-ranking al-Qaeda leaders identified as planners for the 9/11 terrorist attack, KSM has languished at the prison camp in Guantanamo, Cuba since 2006 after spending several years being interrogated by the CIA and FBI.
It was during those interrogations that KSM was allegedly waterboarded and was subject to other “enhanced interrogation” techniques that led to delay after delay in the military tribunal proceedings. During the Trump administration, prosecutors tried to work out a plea deal

As a result of the Russian invasion and partial destruction of Ukraine, the question "What is in America's interest?" is the question of the day. Specifically, how much should America get involved in defending Ukraine?
On the Left, the question "What is in America's interest?" is moot.
On the Left, "America's interest" is regarded as essentially a chauvinistic, nationalistic, even fascistic term.
If the Left were concerned with what is in America's interest, it would not advocate — and, under President Joe Biden, implement — open borders. It is not in America's interest to allow millions of people to illegally enter the United States.

When Detroiters are laughing at your city, you know you’ve made a mistake.
I grew up in the Motor City and I have no sympathy for what used to be Seattle. Detroit’s death was drawn out over years and involved a perfect storm of nonsense, including foolish decisions by auto execs, stupid import/export laws, and a corrupt mayor named Coleman A. Young. Detroit languished. Seattle was executed.
Hundreds of local Seattle businesses are leaving, and Seattle residents have no one to blame except voters and the communists they’ve elected.
FACT-O-RAMA! Commies do not make things better, ever. You can’t point to a pinko success story. Don’t pretend

WESTCHASE, Fla. – The plan to get rid of black vultures in the Westchase neighborhood in Northwest Hillsborough County seems to be ruffling a lot of feathers, and not the intended ones.
The Westchase Community Development District contracted with the U.S.D.A. to scare the birds away. If the birds don’t scare away, the plan is to shoot them. C. G. Barrett with the World of Westchase magazine posted the following message on Facebook:
“I learned at last night’s WCA Board meeting that the USDA’s turkey vulture elimination campaign, under a USDA contract signed by Westchase CDD at the request of the WCA,

On April 23, 2015, the NY Times ran a story under the headline: “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal.”
I quote the Times:
“The sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States’.”
“But the untold story behind that story is one that involves not just the Russian president, but also a former American president [Bill Clinton] and a woman [Hillary Clinton] who would like to be the next one.” “At the heart of the tale are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors

They converged from all over the world onto a little town in Switzerland. Names like Sir David Attenborough, Shinzo Abe, Angela Merkel, Prince William and Jacinda Ardern gathered in the Swiss town of Davos for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting 2019. Making up the supporting cast were 3,000 mere millionaires and celebrities from business, government, civil society, academia, arts and culture, and media. On the agenda was literally the roadmap for future of the world. More formally, the theme was “Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
And what a plan it was! There was a scheme for global data governance.
