MARION COUNTY, OR- Law Enforcement Today has reported several times on Oregon Gov. Kate Brown’s mass release of prisoners ostensibly due to “COVID.”
Now, a judge has ordered a pause on Brown’s early release of prisoners, as reported in the Epoch Times. The new order refers to prisoners who committed crimes as juveniles, which grants part of the relief sought in a lawsuit filed against Brown by two district attorneys and four members of homicide victims.
Since March 1, 2020, Brown has granted early release to nearly 1,200 convicted felons, including 10 convicted murderers.
Marion County Circuit Court Judge David Leith ruled earlier this month that Brown unlawfully conferred her clemency powers

A Russian model who called Vladimir Putin a "psychopath" has been found dead and stuffed inside a suitcase, a report says.
Gretta Vedler, 23, went missing a year ago after her anti-Putin social media rant, but the two events do not appear to be connected.
"Vedler's ex-boyfriend Dmitry Korovin, 23, has now confessed to strangling her to death before driving her 300 miles to the Lipetsk region and abandoning the body in the boot of a car.." the Daily Star reports.
Korovin told authorities that he slept in a hotel room for three nights with her dead body, which was stuffed in a newly bought suitcase.

The country is in the very best of hands — Nancy Pelosi’s trembling hands at the command of what appears to be a cocktail-impaired brain.
Trust me. I know the drinking signs. It’s my considered opinion that the San Francisco-based House Speaker is filled to the gills in the clip you’re about to witness.
It’s bad enough when a Blue Enclave progressive tries to explain military and geopolitical events, like an internet rando on fentanyl trying to explain rocket science to Elon Musk.
Nevertheless, Pelosi’s love for the camera, though unrequited, necessitates that she publicly pontificate whenever the red light comes on, even when her BA count is double the legal limit

The American dollar is currently the world's reserve currency, meaning it is the primary means of handling transactions between nations that have differing currencies. To qualify as a reserve currency, it must be stable and readily available, and it can be considered a safe-haven currency. In some ways, a reserve currency can become a self-fulfilling prophecy because its very status enhances its value. For Americans, that status helps prop up America's enormous debt load. That's why it was very disturbing to learn that Saudi Arabia, disgusted with the current management in Washington, D.C., is looking to start pricing

Though much attention has been given in the media to Israel’s great unhappiness with the Iran deal that the Americans are close to concluding in Vienna, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are also most unhappy with the revived deal. A report on how they have expressed their alarm and displeasure is here: “Saudi Arabia, UAE leaders not returning Biden’s calls, disappointed with US – report,” by Tal Spungin, Jerusalem Post, March 9, 2022:
"The leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have been declining calls from US President Joe Biden for several weeks, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday,

New England’s most prominent exponent of the Black Lives Matter movement is facing charges of bilking donors and using charity funds for personal gain. The highest-profile race activist in Boston, Monica Cannon-Grant, has been indicted by the US Attorney in Boston on 18 counts:
" ...with two counts of wire fraud conspiracy; one count of conspiracy; 13 counts of wire fraud; and one count of making false statements to a mortgage lending business. The indictment also charges Cannon-Grant with one count of mail fraud."
Cannon-Grant founded a group called Violence in Boston (VIB) before the George Floyd death in police custody, but that event and the riots

Keith Olbermann, formerly of CNN and ESPN, and now the host of his own YouTube channel, came out swinging in defense of Dr. Anthony Fauci on Monday — and wound up smacking himself with the idiot stick.
Olbermann, in response to the news that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) introduced an amendment that would eliminate Fauci’s job as director of the NIAID, told the senator that instead of going after Fauci, he should “become an actual doctor.” “You know what you should do instead of this, @RandPaul?” Olbermann tweeted. “Become an actual doctor.” [Tweet] What Olbermann apparently failed to realize is that Sen. Paul is a doctor.

Saudi and Chinese officials are in talks to price some of the Gulf nation's oil sales in yuan rather than dollars or euros, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The two nations have intermittently discussed the matter for six years, but talks have reportedly stepped up in 2022, with Riyadh disgruntled over the United States' nuclear negotiations with Iran and its lack of backing for Saudi Arabia's military operation in neighboring Yemen.
Nearly 80 percent of global oil sales are priced in dollars, and since the mid-1970s the Saudis have exclusively used the dollar for oil trading as part of a security agreement

COLUMBUS, OH – A grand jury has declined to bring charges against the Columbus police officer who fatally shot 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant last year. [Tweet] Officer Nicholas Reardon responded to a domestic dispute call on April 2021 on Legion Lane, where he was forced to fatally shoot Bryant as she attacked another girl with a knife
The Fraternal Order of Police said a grand jury declined to bring charges against Officer Reardon. FOP president Jeff Simpson said:
“The jury decided to return a no bill which means they did not proceed with any criminal charges against officer Reardon and found no criminal act. “That is pleasing to hear.

Hunter Biden's ex-business partner was convicted nearly four years ago of securities fraud and still he has not spent a day in prison. And now Devon Archer's lawyers are trying to delay his punishment yet again with a new appeal that did not amuse federal prosecutors.
Archer faces one year and one day in prison and was ordered last month to pay financial penalties of $15 million and over $43 million in restitution.
His arguments to appeal and postpone serving prison time have no merit, the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan told the trial judge Monday.
"Archer falls far short of meeting his burden of establishing

Ever since the COVID-19 vaccines were first made available, open and honest discussion about them, their efficacy, and their potential side effects has been subject to big-tech censorship—particularly regarding the mRNA vaccines by Pfizer and Moderna.
But maybe now we can finally have open discourse because a new peer-reviewed study from the CDC found significant instances of death and severe side effects from the mRNA vaccines.
While data shows that “most reported adverse events were mild and short in duration,” according to the study, which was published in the UK-based medical journal The Lancet, 6.6% of all side effects were categorized as “serious,” and resulted in “inpatient hospitalisation, prolongation of hospitalisation,

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) has been in U.S. custody since March 1, 2003, when he was captured in Rawalpindi, Pakistan during a joint CIA-Pakistani intelligence operation. Along with four other high-ranking al-Qaeda leaders identified as planners for the 9/11 terrorist attack, KSM has languished at the prison camp in Guantanamo, Cuba since 2006 after spending several years being interrogated by the CIA and FBI.
It was during those interrogations that KSM was allegedly waterboarded and was subject to other “enhanced interrogation” techniques that led to delay after delay in the military tribunal proceedings. During the Trump administration, prosecutors tried to work out a plea deal
