Chinese and American business records continue to list Hunter Biden as a 10% owner of the Chinese government-linked investment firm BHR Partners as of Tuesday, nearly four months after his lawyer said he had completely divested from the venture.
In November, Chris Clark, a lawyer for Biden, told the New York Times that his client "no longer holds any interest, directly or indirectly, in either BHR or Skaneateles," the LLC wholly owned by Biden that held his 10% ownership stake in the Chinese investment firm.

President Biden’s announcement that the United States will ban imports of Russian oil caused the price of crude to surge on Tuesday morning. However, the pain that Americans are set to feel at the gas pump could eventually be offset if Congress were to pass Biden’s Build Back Better agenda, a new study finds.
An analysis released Tuesday by the nonpartisan think tank Energy Innovation finds that the climate change provisions of Biden’s now-defunct proposal, such as tax credits for buying new electric vehicles, would have reduced U.S. oil consumption by 2025 by half of the roughly 200,000 barrels of crude oil from Russia

In yet another embarrassment for President Joe Biden on the world stage, his attempts to secure more oil from foreign nations have been met with silence as Persian Gulf countries decline to throw Biden and his botched energy policy a lifeline amid record-high U.S. gas prices.
According to new reporting in The Wall Street Journal, Saudi and Emirati royals "have signaled they won’t help ease surging oil prices." So just how embarrassing is this for the supposed leader of the free world? Well, they apparently won't even pick up the phone to talk to Biden:

The Democrats are well aware of the old adage, “Never let a good crisis go to waste,” and are busy applying it as gas prices spiral out of all control. As PJM’s Chris Queen discussed Monday, Transportation Secretary Pete “Mr. Mom” Buttigieg appeared to be fantastically out of touch when he responded to skyrocketing prices at the pump. “Clean transportation can bring significant cost savings for the American people as well,” asserted Buttigieg. “Last month, we announced a $5 billion investment to build out a nationwide electric vehicle charging network so that people from rural to suburban to urban communities can all benefit from the gas

WASHINGTON—The White House is set to release an executive order this week tasking several federal agencies with conducting a broad review of cryptocurrencies, including studying the creation of a U.S. digital currency, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The executive order, which the White House is expected to reveal in the coming days, will task the Treasury, Commerce, State and Justice departments, among other agencies, with studying elements of the fast-growing cryptocurrency market, the person said. The agencies will have roughly three or six months to conduct a review and prepare a public report with recommendations for the federal government’s approach to digital tokens.

For more than 40 years, the environmentalist movement has been warning that global warming is the result of mankind’s burning of fossil fuels and poses an “existential threat” to human and other biological life.
This is one of the many grandiose lies the Left uses to reshape, if not destroy, Western civilization. Other grandiose lies used to achieve that result include America being systemically racist; that violent crime is the result of racism and poverty; men give birth; sex and gender are “nonbinary”; and that former President Donald Trump was a Russian asset.
It should now be obvious that the “Greens,” the environmentalist movement — not global warming —

Believe it or not, in my own lifetime a politician who left office disgraced by scandal and poor performance would at least feign having been chastened by the experience. Occasionally an official in that position really would be chastened and would turn over a new leaf; John Profumo in the UK is one famous example, Charles Colson in the U.S. is another. Whatever their personal sense of remorse, though, it used to be that if someone was driven out of public life by self-humiliation you could expect them to stay out as a tacit admission that they’d broken the public’s trust and were no longer fit for office.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris on Monday delivered remarks on providing ‘clean’ transportation to America.
Buttigieg, the small town mayor who has no idea what he’s doing, told rural Americans to buy electric vehicles to save money on gas. Kamala Harris chimed in with some inspirational quotes for the American people.
“Our transportation sector has reached a turning point. We are all in the midst of a turning point,” Harris said. “We have the technology to transition to a zero emission fleet.” “We have the ability to see what can be, unburdened by what has been. And then to make the possible actually happen,” she added.

Prices at the pump have now soared to $4.173 per gallon for regular gasoline, according to Price Information Service (OPIS). This firm collects and calculates US pump prices for American Automobile Association (AAA). On Monday evening, prices surpassed the previous record high set in 2008 and continue marching higher Tuesday.
As gasoline prices increase and inflation reaches the highest levels in four decades, times are becoming much harder for the average consumer, experiencing a persistent rise in the prices of many goods and services. Steeper gas and food prices have forced millions of people to rejigger household budgets.

Can Fla. Gov. Ron Desantis just be president now? Please? His handling of a biased reporter who tried to push a liberal talking point while asking a question was simply magnificent.
A little background: The Parental Rights in Education bill is making its way through the Florida legislature. The bill was already approved by the state’s house, and the Senate is expected to pass it today. Gov. DeSantis will then sign it into law, and it will take effect this summer. The bill basically calls for children to be allowed to have a childhood and for parents to be in charge of their own children’s moral upbringing

A comprehensive new United Nations-sponsored assessment of climate change finds that global warming is reshaping the world more rapidly and severely than was known several years ago. Anyone seeking to gauge the imminent outcome of the international talks over Iran’s nuclear program being held in Vienna should take a look at reports from late January that three top U.S. diplomats had quit—largely in protest over the direction set by U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley, who serves as the U.S. government’s chief negotiator.
Having served for two years in former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s Iran Action Group, I knew that this development was tantamount to a public cry for an intervention. Such resignations—not of conservative dissenters, but of career staff and President Joe Biden’s own political appointees—should have been cause for Biden or
