President Joe Biden ridiculously promoted his green agenda and advised Americans to purchase massively expensive electric cars so they will unrealistically no longer have to worry about buying gas while deterring “tyrants like Putin” from using fossil fuels as a weapon.“Loosening environmental regulations won’t lower prices. But transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles, powered by clean energy, will mean that no one will have to worry about gas prices. It will mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as a weapon,” the president tweeted.“It should motivate us to accelerate the transition to clean energy,”

The Klown shuffles on stupidly. He accurately represents today’s Democrat Party. There hasn’t been a serious Dem President since Kennedy. Biden is the very worse of the worse.

Great news for truckers who up until now didn't realize they can buy those electric 18 wheelers that are flooding the market, and forego that $7 per gallon diesel

Asking working class Americans to deal with high gas prices by buying an electric car is just like telling them to deal with high grocery prices by eating out in restaurants. It is ridiculous to have wealthy politicians who are so detached from real life to give their unrealistic elitist solutions. Electric cars are expensive to purchase, need a charging station, and take hours to charge. Instead of paying for high priced gasoline, an EV driver will have higher utility bills. It is a dumb non-solution.

Yesterday, my better half told me about a Tesla owner who had to purchase a new battery for his wonderful, fossil fuel free auto. $20, 000!! The owner was shocked (imagine that).

There's big money to be made in the green scam . They have no intention of ever of letting us have cheap, efficient gas. For years they have wanted us to suffer ., with joey in place they're doing exactly what they wanted to do before Trump got elected and disrupted their plans.

I mentioned to a Lib that in fact the electric cars were actually "coal powered". (Thanks, Rush)
The Lib replied, "No they are electric". I asked where did that electricity come from? Blank look..."From the electric outlet".
It's hard to fix Stupid.

When can no longer afford to buy gasoline , when the pumps are empty, you no longer worry about it. Your biggest concern will be food. Can you afford it ?

There is no such thing as "electric vehicles, powered by clean energy."
Changing the entire country over to electric vehicles only makes people dependent upon a less reliable source of energy that is still controlled by an incompetent government. I don't see any improvement there but it will make AOC happy.

Biden's solution is to buy an EV costing at least $160,000 (if not more) that may go 200 miles before the batteries need to be recharged for two hours before one an go another 200 miles. If you discharge the batteries before getting to a recharge station, the EV will have to be towed to a recharge station. Unlike gasoline powered vehicle, there is no gallon can of electricity that you can take to your EV to put in the batteries. AND, where will recharge stations get all the additional electricity to recharge EVs? Especially, when the government is trying to shut down conventionally fueled electric power plants.
The only way this plan will work is in the delusional dreams of Biden and the Democrats.

Tone deaf beyond belief. Many people live in apartments or condos that have no access to a plug where the car is parked. In many cases cars must be parked on the street where a plug isn't even feasible. In any case recharging units would most likely be stolen ''to feed the children'''.

What these idiots never consider - what if a hurricane comes through and knocks out power for days/weeks.
Now you're stuck with no way to charge your EV.

How will the electric grid handle all the charging electric cars. Will there be black outs and brown outs like in California. How expensive will it be to add charging stations to existing houses? How much higher will electric bills be, and will they be affordable? How will government replace the taxes they now charge for gas? Will government keep track of the mileage driven and tax it and add additional surtax? Will travel miles be limited? Where will public charging stations be located and how much will it cost to use them? I would think they will not be cheap. How will dead electric batteries be disposed of? A trip would be limited if you can only go a certain number of miles without recharging. How long will it take to make a normally short trip using a gas-powered vehicle if you have to wait for 8 to 10 hours to charge an electric vehicle? Would it require an overnight stay in a hotel? All of the electric use will take more electricity and electricity is generated by coal, gas, water and nuclear power which will continue to be necessary. There is no valid proof that the fuel we use is damaging the planet. Oil and natural gas are renewable as there is a vast amount underground, if the government would stop interfering producers could go after it. Will electric cars be so expensive that many will not be able to afford a car and be forced to live in apartments close to where they work or use bus, public transportation or walk? Are people not tired of government trying to control our lives, taking away more of our freedom and making us miserable in the process?

Imagine a future land where all vehicles are powered by renewable, wind and solar power. Everything changes. Instead of traffic patterns dictated by work, school and leisure schedules, people will be enabled to travel only following sunny or windy days. All the traffic lights will have to be reset.

Joe Biden is all in with the butterflies, moonbeams and unicorns so you better get on board. I don't want an electric car because I want to get where I'm going in a decent amount of time plus in brutal winters those EV are practically useless. FJB

What is this transformation going to cost.
We are shutting down power plants while trying to make people use more electricity.
Solar Panels and Windmills cannot make up the difference.
No Nuclear power plants are under construction.
By the time the electric companies raise prices for the cost of the infrastructure needed the electricity will cost more than gasoline.
The environmental wacko's have thought this thing through.

Biden thinks us sheep don’t know but most electricity is generated by fossil fuels because no new nuclear plants have been built in decades. You will hear a mention of nuclear power occasionally by a political candidate but you will see no action. Biden has no transition plan.

Recently drove from Colorado to Southern California, 1100+ miles, in two days. I thought about EVs along the way. First, even if you could find a recharging station, recharging would have added countless frustrating hours to our trip. The American West is so vast and has so much empty space you'd be fighting to get in line to charge before going another hundred miles looking for another station. Once you get to Southern California there are millions of cars, all needing to go somewhere, all competing for charges, too. Do the geniuses like Secretary Pete ever think about such scenarios. Trips like the one I just took aren't unusual.
