North Carolina Elections Board Says It
Could Ban Rep. Madison Cawthorn From Running

Original Article

The North Carolina Board of Elections claims it has the power to prevent Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) from running for re-election because of his alleged role in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol building. Liberal activists had filed the challenge last month using an obscure “disqualification clause” in the Constitution — Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment — which was ratified after the Civil War to prevent Confederate officials and those who supported “insurrection” from returning to office. The problem for the activists is that Cawthorn never supported an “insurrection.”

Comments:

Is this really a hill leftists want to die on??? They need to realize that what laws are passed for thee are passed for me. There are a whole host of leftist Swamp Creatures that would fall under this law, far more than Madison Cawthorn or President Trump!! They probably don't want to go there!!

Democrats should tread carefully with this latest scheme to get rid of people that they do not like. People like Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, Nancy Pelosi, Eric Swalwell, Ilhan Omar (and the rest of the squad), Maxine Waters, and a whole host of other Democrats could easily fall into the category of insurrectionist by their actions during the Trump years. Many of them continue their insurrectionist actions today.

Well the GOP can make good use of this. What about the so called Resistance, what about RussiaRussiaRussia? now that was insurrection. Clear the Donkey party right out of Congress plus all the RINOs who knew about it. Following this closely. So all it takes is a majority on this elections board, plus proof adequate to that group, that so and so has been insurrecting? got it.

Quite a bit of difference between the American Civil War and the January 6 disturbance. Both were fomented by the dimokkkrap party. But january 6 was made possible by intentional lack of security and intentional crowd manipulation. The American civil war was caused by slavery loving dimokkkraps who were happy to kill 100s of thousands of people to keep people enslaved. They fomented the January 6 events to try to damage their enemies so they can enslave the entire country.

Under President Biden, the FDA, which had for decades advocated for the use of inexpensive generic drugs whenever possible, is suddenly inaudible and has even spoken out against inexpensive, widely available generic drugs that likely ameliorate COVID symptoms, even though these drugs have decades of safety data behind them. There are two leading explanations for this otherwise inexplicable turn of events: politics and money. Let’s start with politics. Under Biden, the FDA has made it very clear for over two years that they do not approve of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19, saying there is “insufficient data.”

Protesters from the Canadian trucker convoy took their message to the capital city's busiest airport Thursday morning, slowly circling the airport's arrivals and departures lanes and honking their horns. About 70 trucks were making the rounds "in an attempt to disrupt operations," the Ottawa International Airport Authority said in a statement. Pat King, one of the convoy's key organizers, claimed on Facebook, "We're having a parade." He added that they had been circling the airport for about two hours and didn't have plans to stop. The City of Ottawa sent out a tweet warning passengers to "expect delays" and that the duration was "unknown."

An arsonist who murdered a father of five during the George Floyd riots was given a reduced sentence after the federal prosecutor in Minnesota asked the judge for leniency because of the arsonist’s “legitimate frustration with the criminal justice system,” according to the Washington Free Beacon. For some Republican members of Congress, the 12-year sentence suggested by prosecutors, when guidelines called for 20 years, proved too much to accept. The arsonist, 26-year-old Montez Terriel Lee, tried to claim he didn’t intend to hurt anyone. But it was the prosecutor’s reasoning that strikes any reasonable person as ludicrous. “Mr. Lee was terribly misguided, and his actions had tragic, unthinkable consequences.
