18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins shot and wounded four people on Wednesday morning at Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas. Three students and one adult were injured on Wednesday after a fight between students broke out. One person was treated at the school and three others were transported to the hospital for treatment. Police took Simpkins into custody Wednesday afternoon after he fled the scene and charged him with three counts of aggravated assault with a gun. Simpkins was released from jail to home confinement Thursday morning after posting $75,000 bond.

As we reported earlier this week, a suspected Antifa operative has been arrested and charged for the shooting of a Proud Boys leader during an altercation that took place in Washington early in September. This shooting took place a little over a year after an Antifa member murdered a Trump supporter in Portland, Oregon during a protest. The Epoch Times reported: Benjamin Anthony Varela, a 36-year-old resident of Olympia, was taken into custody on Sept. 23 on suspicion of assault and vandalism. The state of Florida is suing the Biden administration over its "illegal" catch-and-release policies at the Southern Border, saying they cause harm to the state's "quasi-sovereign interests," while claiming officials are either in violation of federal immigration law, or simply abusing their authority. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed the suit against the administration Tuesday, as part of a joint effort with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to "uphold the rule of law despite the Biden administration's decision to violate the law." The suit was filed in the Pensacola Division of the Northern District of Florida. Moody is not seeking a preliminary injunction.

One of the more bizarre twists in the saga of the COVID pandemic has been doctors growing increasingly frustrated and even angry with patients asking for medical treatment rather than wholesale vaccination. (snip) Some patients take exception to this approach and ask for ivermectin, which is being used outside of the United States to treat early COVID. There is a significantly lower incidence of serious cases of COVID in countries that use ivermectin for early exposures.
Doctors are not taking kindly to the suggestion that patients should have access to medication that can prevent serious illness. They are denouncing ivermectin as a veterinary drug

Around 9:15 a.m., police in Arlington, TX, got the first call of shots fired at Timberview High School. When officers responded, they found three people wounded and one injured. A 25-year old victim, identified in various reports as a teacher, was hospitalized in “good” condition. A pregnant teacher twisted her ankle trying to get the hell out of Dodge; she was treated at the scene and released. Another victim (whose age I have not been able to determine) was hospitalized and then released. Finally, a 15-year-old is still in the hospital in critical condition.
