After the patron saint of restricting Americans’ freedoms suggested we might need to cancel Christmas, I suppose this shouldn’t come as all that much of a surprise. The CDC is announcing today that they are recommending that Americans celebrate Thanksgiving virtually again this year. You probably don’t need me to tell you that this is one turkey of an idea that Joe Biden isn’t going to be able to make fly. But the new guidelines have all sorts of unpleasant nuggets built into them for any of you dangerous people who still insist on carving up the turkey with your family. Oh, and you have to scroll

And in the spirit of our Pilgrim forefathers, here's a little Thanksgiving greeting to the CDC : Eff-eth thee.

It's not as if the CDC's "recommendations" have been useful or reality-based so far.

Who asked them to chime in? Who asked for their 100% political non-medical advice. No. One. We’re having our biggest Thanksgiving ever.

The CDC, as well as the NIH, is thoroughly corrupt. You can't believe a word they utter.

Last year, a liberal doctor friend twisted himself into a pretzel trying to explain why it was safe for the Obama family to travel to Hawaii for Christmas, but I had to sit home alone for the holiday...

Gather, but protect your elderly ones.
We have a wedding at the end of this month and honestly, the fear of my parents catching covid there is great. Especially knowing the vaccination has actually made them more vulnerable. I so wish I had fought them on getting it.

I don’t know why the CDC bothers with this crap. No one listens to them, no one cares, they have no authority, and what people choose to do for Thanksgiving is none of their business.

Given that the CDC is recommending holding a virtual Thanksgiving meal this year, our Thanksgiving meal has been cancelled. However, and only by coincidence, we will be holding a wake for our beloved, soon to be departed pet turkey, Randolph on 25 Nov, 2021. A viewing ceremony will commence at or about 1pm, with prayer for Randolph at 2pm followed immediately with a table spread of heavy refreshments. Attire will be casual. Randolph will have liked it that way.

We're having just family this year instead of the usual family and friends get together. The reason? It's too much work to put together for people in their mid sixties to have a party for over thirty people even if it's only once a year. So it's the immediate family this year which will still comprise about 15 people.

My family missed our big Thanksgiving because some of my siblings got Covid cold feet. Not this year. We are all united in our contempt for Dr. Garden Gnome and our determination to have a good time this year - together.

Well, the CDC can do that all they want.
As for my family, we will be gathering together, hugging, kissing, laughing, stuffing our faces, and generally just being thankful that the Communists at the CDC aren't anywhere near our Thanksgiving gathering!!!!
And I guarantee you that nobody will be wearing a mask or asking about vaccination status!!!

CDC...up your nose with a rubber hose. Just shut the hxxl up you hear! You can't make up your mind on a single decision. You have made so many stupid calls on covid. One minute you "tell us" wear a mask. (Which I don't) and in the next minute you tell us we don't need to wear a mask if we had covid or have been vaccinated. Looks like a plan to me. I think the American people have caught on to your stupidity...and will have a lovely family gathering for Thanksgiving AND Christmas. Ptooey on you-ey!

If massive crowds can stand side by side and yell "FJB", then I can say a prayer and eat turkey at my family gathering with about 40 relatives...."FCDC"!

If the vaccine works, Thanksgiving should be ok. If masks work, Thanksgiving should be ok. If all of the unvaccinated are fired from their jobs due to vaccine mandates, Covid will magically go away, so Thanksgiving will be ok. If we all ignore the CDC recommendation to skip a family Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving will be ok. Like most viruses, Covid isn't going away. it is basically the flu. Take precautions, live your life and everything should be ok.

Thanksgiving is for thanking God for our bounty this year. Since Dems don't believe in God they can stay home. Why are they celebrating anyway?
