Clarence Thomas identifies the greatest
danger in America

Talk to me for just a few minutes about my life as a lawyer and I will tell you that, without question, the worst thing about being a litigator is activist judges. It turns out that Clarence Thomas shares my concern, for he fears the power that the Supreme Court holds. In a speech at the University of Notre Dame, the brilliant jurist told his audience that “The court was thought to be the least dangerous branch and we may have become the most dangerous,” adding, “And I think that’s problematic.” Indeed. (snip) Kudos, therefore, to Justice Thomas for recognizing that he sits on an institution with dangerously unlimited power

I disagree with Mr. Thomas. The SC gave us abortion, but the SC is almost powerless today compared to the other two branches of government. The SC issues rulings and the left figures out a way to do what it wants to do anyway. The SC is the third most dangerous of the three branches.

Congress has more power over the Court than it exercises. This grants to the Court power that can be curtailed. A considerable amount of the Supreme Court's power is construing the legislative intent in numerious statutes. Often the Court misconstrues the intent but Congress seldom amends the statute to change the result of the Court's errors. Also Congress often intentionally drafts ambiguous statutes that allow courts of law to fill in the blanks.

Great. So next there will be a federal mandate that all new buildings must be snowbird white and have no windows.

Justice Thomas states The Supreme Court, which was supposed to be our safety net, the law of the land, may have become the most dangerous branch of government. I am starting to believe we are victims of an evil cabal who are experts at bribery and blackmail. It's not complicated. Compromise 2 or 3 judges on the SC and you have massive power at your finger tips, can even steal a presidential election in front of the whole world and come out unscathed.

The federal judiciary has got to go. Un-elected, un-accountable, un-American. All the left has to do is find an Obama judge and they get whatever they want. The federal judiciary is an illegitimate autocracy. It needs to be scrapped.

Saturday, Sept. 18 was the date for the “J6 Rally,” organized by a political advocacy group called Look Ahead America. (snip) Yet the media and the Democrats painted a far more sinister picture. (snip) Anyone with half a brain could see that this was another FBI entrapment scheme, to justify more arrests and more prisoners in solitary confinement awaiting trial for walking benignly through the U.S. Capitol. Social media was full of warnings to stay away from the trap. Even President Trump warned that it was “a setup.” And as usual, Trump was right. The Daily Mail reported, “Protesters outnumbered by police…as just a handful of demonstrators turn up.”

On Saturday, there was a rally in D.C. to bring attention to the plight of those people arrested on January 6 and still held in solitary confinement in D.C. jails. President Trump warned people in advance that the rally was a no-win situation and he was right. It was poorly attended and it seems that many of those who did appear—perhaps intending to act as provocateurs—were law enforcement agents trying to “blend in with the crowd.” Most importantly, though, this failed rally revealed that non-leftists in America are losing their First Amendment right to protest.

There seems to be a yawning chasm between what is believed by media people and what their viewers/readers/listeners care about when it comes to Covid vaccines. (snip) On September 10, the local Detroit TV station WXYZ used its Facebook page to ask families for stories about unvaccinated loved ones lost to COVID “for a story we’re working on.” Pretty clearly, the expectation was that they could present tragic stories of those foolish people who ignored the wisdom of Joe Biden (and the medical, media, and corporate establishments) and suffered the tragic consequences. But that’s not what they got

On the 20th anniversary of 9-11, Kylee Zempel over at The Federalist published a poignant reflection titled "Would you have stormed the cockpit?" (snip) In the twenty years since, there has been so much focus on preventing more airplanes from being hijacked for evil purposes that other, more devastating hijackings have gone unnoticed. Today, it is not four airplanes, but a host of civic institutions that have been hijacked for evil. Institutions, like airplanes, have been built to be powerful for the accomplishment of much good. But when control of these institutions is ripped from the people they were built to serve, the havoc they can wreak on civilization

Perhaps if all the disgruntled voters who left California in recent years were still there to favor the recall of Gavin Newsom, his political career would have ended last Tuesday. During the 2010s, about 6.1 million people moved from California to other states, while 4.9 million came from other places to California. The demographics of the leave-takers is unclear, but the new arrivals include many from foreign countries, along with wealthy corporate types who could afford the move. As the hysteria about unvaccinated people demonstrates, the COVID vaccine isn’t really a vaccine because it doesn’t make those who have had the shots immune to COVID—although there is some evidence that, if they do catch COVID, their symptoms are less severe. The latest push from the Biden administration is for people to get a third, or even a fourth, “vaccine” shot as a booster. However, the FDA’s advisory panel, ignoring administration pressure, voted by a 16-2 margin to reject licensing Pfizer’s booster vaccine for healthy people between 16 and 65. Only for those at serious risk of COVID did the advisory panel recommend the booster.

There are a number of reasons to explain the intense push from the Biden administration and the government medical bureaucracy to get people to take the COVID vaccine. From a wide search of the information available, I find it hard to believe that the actual health of people is one of the reasons. For example, why demand people with natural immunity get vaccinated? And why insist on vaccinating children when their risk of serious effects from the virus is minuscule? It make no scientific sense especially when the vaccine itself can possibly cause serious health issues for the young.

Immunity, according to the CDC website, is “Protection from an infectious disease. If you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without being infected.” (snip) breakthrough infections, on the rise, challenge the definition of immunity as “being exposed without being infected.” This would explain the CDC’s recent decision to change the definition of vaccine from immunity to only protection. These immunology basics are taught in high school biology classes and if understandable to teenagers, they should be clear to the medical establishment and leaders of our national health institutions.

Did anyone really show up for that super scary far-right rally on Saturday? The “Justice for J6” rally was supposed to be ‘insurrection part II: endgame.’ The barricades were set up again around the US Capitol. The police were everywhere; they were decked out in full-blown riot gear. They were prepared this time. They were prepared…for the media? Yeah, typical elite media whiff here. There were more media members than actual protesters. The threat was exaggerated. The liberal media may not know this yet, but even prior to January 6—the far right in America is…not big.

It’s not nearly as complicated as once I thought it was. It’s a top-down insurrection. All that it ever needed was a sufficient number of conspirators, in key positions, to network with each other. Granted, the numbers needed were large. That is why it took so many years to take hold. Once the threshold was reached, however, circa 2015 or 16, the treachery began in full swing. The plotters were delayed by one mistake, a very big one, in 2016. They underestimated the amount of electoral fraud that was needed to place Hillary Clinton in the White House. That set them back four years.
