The drone strike that the Pentagon claimed killed an ISIS-K suicide bomber in Kabul actually targeted an aid worker who had filled his car with water jugs, rather than explosives, according to a shocking new report. Zemari Ahmadi, 43, was driving the 1996 Toyota Corolla that was destroyed in the August 29 drone strike, killing him and nine family members, including seven children, according to a New York Times investigation. US military still maintain that only three people died, despite the family now detailing in the new report how their 10 relatives were killed in the blast.(Snip)Ahmadi worked for US-based aid group Nutrition and Education International,

The car that U.S. military officials believed was packed with explosives and destined for a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport on Aug. 29 may actually have been driven by an innocent man transporting canisters of water, a new report claims. A New York Times story published Friday afternoon identified the driver of the car as Zemari Ahmadi, 43, who worked as an electrical engineer for an American aid and lobbying group doing business in Afghanistan. The Times cited numerous interviews with family members, relatives and others with knowledge of the Aug. 29 incident, and the new report seems to cast serious doubt on the official version of events

Teenage boys are six times more likely to suffer from heart problems from the vaccine than be hospitalised from Covid-19, a major study has found. Children who face the highest risk of a “cardiac adverse event” are boys aged between 12 and 15 following two doses of a vaccine, according to new research from the US.(Snip)A team led by Dr Tracy Hoeg at the University of California investigated the rate of cardiac myocarditis—heart inflammation–and chest pain in children aged 12-17 following their second dose of the vaccine. They then compared this with the likelihood of children needing hospital treatment owing to Covid-19,

Google has been illegally underpaying thousands of temporary workers in dozens of countries and delayed correcting the pay rates for more than two years as it attempted to cover up the problem, the Guardian can reveal. Google executives have been aware since at least May 2019 that the company was failing to comply with local laws in the UK, Europe and Asia that mandate temporary workers be paid equal rates to full-time employees performing similar work, internal Google documents and emails reviewed by the Guardian show. But rather than immediately correct the errors, the company dragged its feet for more than two years, the documents show, citing concern

The White House on Friday said President Biden didn’t anticipate the extent of opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine after it was developed by his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump. “We didn’t anticipate that when there was a vaccine approved under a Republican president—that the Republican president took—that there would be such opposition, vehement opposition in some cases, from some people in his own party,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.
She was alluding to Mr. Trump’s work to develop and win emergency approval COVID-19 vaccines under “Operation Warp Speed.”(Snip)Ms. Psaki said it will be up to private companies to simply require the vaccines

Did Jill Biden's former husband bankroll a picket line that is credited with helping Joe Biden secure an upset victory in the election for a Delaware Senate seat in 1972? That is the extraordinary claim made in a new book that revisits the role played by mob hitman Frank 'The Irishman' Sheeran in a newspaper blockade that prevented anti-Biden adverts reaching voters. The details—contained in 'The Bidens: Inside the First Family's Fifty-year Rise to Power' by Ben Shreckinger which is published by Twelve Books on Sept. 21—will reignite debate over how much Biden knew about union efforts to tip the scales in his favor.

Another 50 migrants including women and young children have been intercepted trying to cross the Channel today after the French branded Home Secretary Priti Patel a 'clown' for threatening to turn the boats round and send them back to Europe. Border Force cutter Vigilant docked at Dover Marina at around 3.30pm, where the arrivals disembarked. Women and children, including one mother wearing a red headscarf accompanied by three young boys, were escorted up the gangway for processing. Another boat carried at least 38 men to shore, with some wearing Adidas tracksuit jackets with jeans and carrying their possessions in a rucksack. One male migrant was seen wearing a trendy

President Biden had barely finished speaking to the nation about his crackdown on the unvaccinated before news broke that he was exempting a powerful union ally. The Washington Post reported Thursday night that his executive order forcing federal workers to take a COVID-19 vaccine does not include U.S. Postal Service workers. Citing “a White House official speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss not-yet-public portions of the president’s plan,” the Post reported that those workers merely would be strongly encouraged to follow the mandate. The Postal Service employs almost 650,000 people nationwide. Many are represented by the American Postal Workers Union, which has been critical

President Joe Biden tore into unruly passengers who have defied federal mask mandates during air travel–following a string of reports of confrontations between passengers and flight attendants.
'Show some respect!' he told rule-breakers in a speech from the White House. Biden delivered the admonishment as part of a speech where he repeatedly went after unvaccinated Americans who 'overcrowd our hospitals' and elected officials who 'undermine' public health guidelines.(Snip) The new range of penalties, which take effect Friday, September 10, 2021, will be $500-$1000 for first offenders. The amounts escalate to $1000-$3000 for second offenders, the Department of Homeland Security announced.

Vice President Kamala Harris criticized new abortion restrictions in Texas Thursday as an “abortion bounty law empowering vigilantes” and said Congress needs to “codify” the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion. Meeting at the White House with abortion rights advocates, Ms. Harris praised the Justice Department for filing a lawsuit to block the Texas law, which bars abortions as early as six weeks into a pregnancy and offers $10,000 for private parties to sue anyone who “aids or abets” an abortion.(Snip)“The right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is not negotiable,” the vice president said.
Comments:
The last person who called us vigilantes was none other than that conservative firebrand George Dubya Bush, whom I still don't miss. Have the Taliban ever called us vigilantes? Typical Democrat bungle on the statement on the right to make decisions about their own bodies, at the same moment The Big Guy is forcing big businesses to jam needles in our arms.
