First come, first serve. You snooze, you lose. Let ‘em rot. That was essentially the message CNN counterterrorism analyst and former CIA operative, Phil Mudd was sending the American citizens and Afghan allies that couldn’t make it to the Kabul airport because they’re too scared to risk going outside or live in other parts of the country. His comments were so shocking that they even took Prime Time host Chris Cuomo by surprise during Wednesday’s show.
Mudd’s callous comments were preceded by him trying to downplay how much of a disaster President Biden’s leadership had been. He even suggested we wait two to three

So many of these comments by Biden and his likeminded friends remind me of Hillary’s infamous “at this point, what difference does it make?” The same callousness and arrogance.

Those Americans are in their precarious situations today because the same CIA that this clown once worked for was apparently advising for years that Afghanistan was safe, that the Taliban were not an immediate threat to the country.
My only question is, what ARE so many Americans and other nationalities by the tens of thousands doing there? Were they on the (legitimate) receiving ends of the easy billions that Uncle Sam was pouring into the country?

He would be correct if they had ever been given they opportunity to evacuate before Biden decided to pull all of the troops out of Afghanistan. He didn't. He snuck them out in the dark unannounced. Before anyone could react to Biden"s cowardly retreat, the Taliban took over trapping everyone. Now they are stuck in a middle ages hell hole taken over by religious fanatics.

He would surely sing another tune if he was one of the people stuck there, don't you think?

I have the same question as #3: why are those American citizens still there? Some people don't seem to have the ability to see or sense danger. Or to anticipate a result based on what they can see in front of their face. New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina come to mind.

I'm sure our troops could clear away the rag tag crowd outside the airport if given the chance. But State Department types want to avoid any kind of confrontation with the Taliban at all cost.

Are these AMERICANS in the area to reap tax free benefits being employed in another country.
Looks like this time you're getting the screwing for the screwing taxpayers have been getting all along.
Placing 6000 troops in a situation without 100% political and military support is the biggest crime of all time

I'm sure Biden will do the same for the 15 thousand Americans under siege, behind enemy lines, being hunted by Islamic terrorists as he did for our US Ambassador and staff in Libya when they were in the exact same situation.

The administration appears to be desperate to avoid a firefight with the Taliban that might bring about American casualties and further the PR disaster. If they have any brains at all they must know they are most likely going to end up with a hostage situation. They are probably already communicating to the Taliban they will pay the ransom as long everything is kept secret. If I were the Taliban I would take the money and then call the media.

Phil Mudd needs to held accountable for his treasonous actions against the United States Constitution.

Leaving Americans behind is something we never should do. But also letting the Taliban just have over 83 billion $$ in military equipment should have never happened. Laura Logan said the the obvious to Tucker Carlson when she said if the US really wanted to win in Afghanistan all they would have had to do was quit giving billions in financial aid to Pakistan and also bomb the Taliban's supply line out of Pakistan into Afghanistan. Plain to see our intel agencies and military brass didn't really want to win the war. We were probably there just for the opium poppies.

This is horrible. You cannot count on the government. Their roll seems to be only to collect taxes. In times of peril, like hurricane Katrina, citizens are on their own.
