There are questions now being raised about Juror #52 in the Derek Chauvin trial, reportedly Brandon Mitchell. Mitchell has now come forward and given interviews on several shows. Speaking to the “Get Up! Mornings” show with Erica Campbell on April 27, Mitchell spoke about his experience on the jury. During the interview, Campbell said that many people aren’t all that eager to do jury duty.CORRECTION*

Of course more riots, what do you expect. This thing has been a disaster since the start. The jurors were afraid of causing riots and voted accordingly. blm should be recognized for what it it, a terrorist group.

Several of the jurors greatly downplayed their knowledge about the case - saying they did not know details, only saw the original video for a brief moment, etc... Like this guy, they wanted to 'make history' by being on the jury.

He isn’t the first juror to admit that the verdict was not about guilt or innocence. The appeal will be far more interesting than the original trial.

We know exactly what happened and we knew it on the day of the verdict. They convicted Chauvin to appease the Mau Mau. Three more officers are facing a similar fate simply for coming to work that day.

There is no way that any prospective juror residing in the Minneapolis area could not be aware of the George Floyd case unless he or she hatched out of an eggshell the day the jury was selected. This guy lied to the Judge about his knowledge of the incident and all the violence that took place after the incident. There is no way that the police officer got a fail trial, because of all the TV coverage and violent rioting that took place in that community, anyone with a brain knows that those jurors were scared to death not to come back with guilty verdicts. If there ever was a criminal case that should have been moved with a change of venue as far from Minneapolis as possible this was it.

Don't assume that an appeal will bring any relief.

Here’s an article on Brandon Mitchell and what he said on one program - posted at Lucianne a few days ago. He remarked that all of the jurors were in agreement from the start. That only one held out and thought they should deliberate, wanted to ask questions,, and so forth. The inference you’d draw was that he considered that holdout juror to be a pain. Everybody but her wanted to get on with it.
Have a look at him and read his words here:

Why does a juror on such a high profile case go on TV to talk about it? Shut up and keep your head down.

If you find the picture of this guy in his BLM shirt it is pretty clear he got on that jury with the intent of convicting Chauvin to advance his cause. He must have been less than truthful to get on the jury.

What was the racial make-up of the jury overall? Were white jurors excluded? Or is that OK? Also, a facebook post by this juror's cousin shows him wearing a BLM shirt that says Take Your Knee Off of My Neck. He should have been excluded for cause. Not that it makes any difference--see Roger Stone case.

If the appeals court decides that there should be a new trial with a change of venue, how many Minnesota communities do you think will stand up and raise up their hands to welcome such a new trial being held in their communities? The result of that should tell you something!

Like #15, IMO from the beginning, a change of venue was absolutely required. But what community would want such a trial?
I also wonder about charging an accused with Two categories of Murder. Shouldn't the prosecution have the burden of asserting Exactly which crime is alleged? Not a lawyer; each state has variations.
Basically it looked like manslaughter to me. Chauvin got angry and thought he would teach that SOB a lesson.

Hold a real trial with active duty military from overseas TDY to a base not in the Northeast, in secret, with all the ID procedures if held in some city somewhere. Civilian procedures but using military rules.

This verdict is going to be appealed, and Chauvin is going to win on that appeal. What happens after that? More riots.
