I RECENTLY READ a post by a friend written after the first presidential debate. While she opposed aspects of the Biden/Harris platform, she felt alienated by the arrogance and unkindness she felt was displayed by Donald Trump and she couldn’t vote for a candidate who didn’t represent her. (Snip) Despite the dire predictions before taking office, our president’s administration has taken action to protect our country and the liberties we enjoy. That includes not only the appointment of three U.S. Supreme Court justices, but 53 federal appellate judges and 146 district court judges, all committed to adhering to our Constitution and laws as written

Very well stated, although I don't find the President's manner or character terribly off-putting. Not my style, the NYC brash, outspoken, somewhat abrasive style, but DAMN what he DOES. How he THINKS!
He loves our country, and he loves AMERICANS....all of us, lower class, middle class, upper class....all good Americans.
As Lincoln said: "I can't spare him. He fights." Yes, and he WINS.

Anyone who says they are voting against TRUMP because of his personality is completely ignorant of politics and the issues at stake. The women mentioned in the article is typical of how people make politics about themselves rather than our country.

We knew who we were voting for when we elected him. He's never tried to hide who he is! He is a man. He's not perfect and the only perfect man to ever live was Jesus Christ. Yea, he's brash and brutish and "mean"...but he's OUR brash and brutish and mean guy...so lay off and leave him alone or an army will advance on you the likes which has never been seen before!

I say Amen to this fine essay. In 2016, I was more than disappointed in the two candidates. I wrote in a strong Republican Conservative, Ted Cruz. I have been pleased with Donald Trump’s performance and have already voted for him in spite of his obvious warts. I’ve told my friends that I chose the candidate with a bad personality, great ideas and outstanding record of accomplishment over the candidate with no personality, bad ideas and no record of accomplishments for 47 years.

As a former New Hampshire resident, I’m ashamed and perplexed at the endorsement by the Union Leader for the awful, pathetic offerings of the democrat party. As far as President Trump’s awful personality, it is understandable that people born with no sense of humor but oversized egos don’t like him.

I don't believe a lot of people who have been supporting Biden have been given sufficient information to make a truly informed decision. He has not held honest news conferences. He has not really been challenged during the primary or general election process. Most of what people know about him has been crafted to fit a folksy narrative of "Joe from Scranton" or "Lunch Bucket Joe". Many of them just care he was loyal to Barrack Obama.
All I ask of these people is to try to get a little more raw information on the Biden family business dealings and their ties to powerful and wealthy foreign partners. You don't have to read or understand it all but you need to ask yourself, "Do I really want to take a risk of compromising the highest office in the land with people involved in this kind of stuff?" President Trump has been investigated by every agency in government and come up clean. Why not go with the proven safe choice rather than the sketchy one?

I'm not looking for the President to be my husband or significant other. I heard what he wanted to do, I saw what he did do, and I want him around for another 4 years. Watching BIden turn into a zombie over the next year or less and knowing that the Laughing Hyena was waiting in the wings to socialize everything that is near and dear to this country was a no vote (actually I never considered them). So he isn't Ms. Manners, I don't care. I have 5 brothers and sisters I know what it's like to be around an asshat but when it comes down to it they would be there for me when needed. I believe Mr. Trump to be on that same level.

I have never understood why people expect a successful President to think and act their way. Some years ago I took a job with a tough manager who's manner then reminds me now of our current POTUS. The task at hand was a very expensive and risky engineering project, a major part of a larger system. My boss was tough and brash, fought a lot, and was not always fun to be with, but we brought in the project on time and under budget, well ahead of the other teams. I don't see him often now, but I have fond memories of those days.

I don’t understand how any thinking person looking at Biden’s campaign performance or Kamala would have confidence in his abilities?

And I am voting for the only presidential candidate that isn't corrupt and trying to become a millionaire in the White House.
I'm voting for the guy who takes no pay and donates his whole salary to worthwhile causes and does this because HE LOVES AMERICA

In propping up Joe Biden,The Union Leader newspaper made a foolish choice!! They, and much of the nation’s press, obviously have no issue with a U.S. President that is fully owned by the Chinese Communist. Thier editorial of support is a shameful ignoring of the facts, which seems to be the new mantra of journalism.
But Joe Biden, who has done zero for America in fifty years in government vs. Donald Trump who has accomplished more in four years, even having been hobbled by the press for three years through a Democrat imposed hoax and a Democrat inspired political impeachment based on that hoax. You people at the Union Leader have lost your minds and the ability to think sanely, which for many years was your strong suit!!

Blah, blah blah, Trump is a meanie, Blah, blah, blah.
Sorry but I am sick of it.
I won't deny Trump is brash at times and has said some bad lines. But that is not who he really seems to be. In general, people who meet with him find him friendly, attentive, empathetic, and helpful ... unless you act like a jerk. Even then, he often just passes you by unless you are publicly disrespectful. As he has warned, in that case he is a counter puncher, twice as hard.
Yes, Trump does ridicule his political opponents and gives them minimizing nicknames. So what. Most of those people had already attacked him and if they can't handle a little political heat, they don't belong in politics. A LOT of the things ascribed to Trump were taken completely and deliberately out context. For example, he indicated the MS13 gang members were dangerous criminals. The media reported he said all immigrant were criminals. Trump has never spoken against LEGAL immigration. He recognizes and honors the contributions that immigrants have made to America. Yet it is reported that Trump is racially bigoted against immigrants. That is a lie and he has had many people of long acquaintance testify that he is NOT racially biased.
So when I hear this whine, I want to know WHAT specifically they object to? Is it real or fake? If he said something mean to Nasty Pelousy, or Chuckie Scummer, did she deserve it? Too many people jump to the " the arrogance and unkindness ... displayed by Donald Trump" and never discuss how they came to that evaluation. Trump is convicted without a trial and often with false evidence and I resent the "Trump's a bad guy but I guess I have to vote for him" conclusion BECAUSE I don't think Trump is a bad guy.

This is a good article. People keep talking about Trump's horrible character. He punches back. "Ooooh, that's bad!" BS. That's the character I wanted. Everything else he does argues strongly against his supposedly bad character.

No one is meaner and a bigger liar than Joe Biden. Lunch Bucket Joe? What a laugh! What job has he ever held where he had to get down and get his hands dirty? None! He knows nothing about the common worker, but tries to say he was one. Biggest dirtbag crook is his real claim to fame.
And he's a cheapskate, too. last year he gave only 1.5 percent of his income to charity. While his running mate gave even less; 1.1 percent to charity.
