A forthcoming Australian scientific study concludes that the coronavirus causing the global pandemic contains unique properties suggesting it was manipulated in a Chinese laboratory and was not the result of a natural occurrence. Five scientists who conducted the study discovered an unusual ability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, as the pathogen behind COVID-19 is called, to easily infect humans. The scientists said there is no sign so far that the virus can be found in other animals, including bats or the exotic wildlife sold for fresh meat at a market in the Chinese city of Wuhan....

We went to war with Japan after it caused the lives of 2,403 American servicemen at Pearl Harbor. To date, there is almost 95,000 Americans dead from Covid-19. At what point are we going to war with China?

If we find that China built this thing, isn't that a biological weapon and isn't that banned by treaties that China has ratified/accepted?
If they broke the treaty they accepted, are they not liable for damages caused by their actions?

This is not proof but highly suspicious and the motive is strong. It would be a combination of stupidity and evil that equals that of Adolph Hitler. China will soon be hurting so badly from global rejection that they might figure they have nothing to lose by making a first strike.

the earliest info i saw about the very unique properties of this virus concluded that months ago ... This is another slow walk of our cdc , whatever , whoever to give our “ in house” crisis exploiters a running start ...

fta: The team analyzed spike protein binding of the virus on a range of other animals, including pangolins, civets, mice, hamsters, cats, dogs, snakes, horses, tigers and cows.
“Overall, the data indicates that SARS-CoV-2 is uniquely adapted to infect humans, raising important questions as to whether it arose in nature by a rare chance event or whether its origins might lie elsewhere,” the report said.
Very interesting article. It also points out the tremendous conflict of interest certain powerful experts have in the truth of this artificial manipulation being revealed.

I'm no geneticist, but this would imply that there can be no vaccine. A new variation is just around the corner.

For all the naysayers, China lovers and never Trumpers we don't want to hear any crap from you, after all you can't reject SCIENCE ! By the way, isn't this a Weapon of Mass Destruction ?

It makes no sense that a virus would evolve specifically to favor human cells if it came, as all the other theories propose, from another species. It would almost certainly be more infectious in the species it started in and then evolve through random selection to others like humans. Once you eliminate what is impossible what is left, however improbable, is the truth. Whether by design or by exploiting an opportunity, China weaponized the global pandemic through its own actions. This evidence is not in dispute. What part of "unrestricted warfare" does the world still no understand?
The reason I'm optimistic about Moderna's entry in the vaccine race is that it is not actually a vaccine. They reverse genetically engineered the specific human antibody protein and coded an mRNA sequence that would exactly reproduce it in a mammalian ribosome. They don't rely on the SARS-COV-2 virus itself to stimulate the natural antibody response like most of its competition. This means that Moderna bypasses the body's natural detection mechanisms that can be fooled by a mutating virus.

Well, all I can say is I hope those five scientists stay out of tall buildings, away from windows and don't take any walks alone in a park.

If true, and I am still skeptical, this could be a real 'game changer'......or may make it no longer a 'game'.

In my crazy mind, here is what I think the thing is all about. Trump has cost China hundreds of billions of dollars and climbing exponentially. They are not happy with him to say the least. The knew that with the roaring economy that he would be easily re-elected in November. They do not want him in office for four more years because it will cost them even more in tariffs, etc. So their motive was to release the virus knowing it will spread worldwide and have a massive impact on the US and our fabulous economy, and that the crash of the economy would backfire on Trump's re-election. Of course, the Democrats all jumped on that crazy train to Chinatown and capitalized on a fabulous opportunity to never let a good crisis go to waste. But that's just my theory. I suspected all along that this virus was a hybrid thing they cooked up in their lab. Eventually the truth will come out.

So, if confirmed, that makes this virus a bioweapon of mass destruction, and its stealth release without notification or warning a potential "act of war."
We need to be on guard from now on, and if necessary, to treat the consequences accordingly. This cannot go unpunished.

Just from looking at this logically it could be no other way than man made. Viruses just don't pop up out of no where like this one did, they evolve over time.

Elsewhere the mockers are going to town about a study that shows how cannabis (not the THC that gets one high) can affect the body’s receptors and thus may be able to prevent COVID-19 from being able to take hold. Biases sometimes cause failure to see things differently. Sad.

I am of like mind with #11.
This was all about China trying to prevent Trump's re-election.
Notice that all of the US products that China promised to buy haven't been bought yet, and China really hasn't shown any evidence that the agreements will be kept.

If what the Australian researchers are getting at is true, by now the Chinese Communists know that it is not necessary for them to use destructive nuclear weapons to knock out the USA, and the other countries of the developed world. All they need to use is a string of continuous covert biological warfare attacks using different strains of very contagious viruses in those countries, in the mode of neutron bombs that kill people but leave the infrastructure untouched and for sale at rock bottom prices. Current events prove that job can be done very easily through globalist commercial air travel as was accomplished with the Chinese COVID-19 virus. No doubt the Democrats who are now hiding in their basements would sell out and surrender immediately if not sooner.

This was the suspicion at the outset and it has stayed stuck to the wall. If this is all so what China has observed is not that it was a way to knockout or take down the US. If that was the plan (or test) it failed totally. What has caused the US to suffer great harm was the politics. It was our idiot governors and other political and government types that caused (and continue to cause) all the damage. Our hospitals weren't overwhelmed, the vast majority of deaths were from Governors forcing elderly people with the virus into nursing homes with the most vulnerable to spread the disease; and people with compromised immunity systems; and people with serious health problems that were already at death's door. In fact it was so mild that most people did even know they were infected. Businesses were shut not by the virus but by, once again, the idiot governors and government people. It is the politicians that are loading us up with trillions of dollars of debt. The virus didn't damage supply chains, cause hoarding, shutter businesses. All China managed to do was light the fuse. Don't misunderstand me. If China set this in motion they must be dealt with in the most severe manner possible. I hate communists. I served my time fighting them. They are godless. They are evil. They certainly had their fun at our expense over this. What I see is that this presents a chance for those political and government idiots that led us (and continues to do so) down the path of destruction to use China as a way to sweep their mistakes under the rug - blame it all on China. That too needs to be dealt with in the coming days. I pray President Trump it up for it.
