Massachusetts Democrats are advancing legislation that would create a permanent state commission focused on protecting and promoting Islam.
Bill S.2134 has cleared initial committees and is currently in the state’s Senate Ways & Means Committee.
Massachusetts-based radio talk show host Jeffrey Kuhner sounded the alarm about the bill on X, saying it “guarantees Muslims will be appointed and hired across all levels of government.”
Indeed, no other religion has ever received this type of preferential treatment.
Members of the pro-Islam commission would be appointed by the governor, attorney general, legislative leaders, and “racial equity, civil rights and inclusion” committee chairs.
The 11-member body would:

Sophie Cunningham is the face that launched a thousand memes. In an interview with ESPN, she said the following: Then, after her non-conformity to Woke dogma drew howls, she doubled down.
The WNBA star recently burst onto the national scene with finger-pointing swagger.
Now, much like Caitlin Clark before her, Woke Media considers her to be a threat.
You see, she doesn’t subscribe to the left's talking points about boys invading girls' sports.
Cunningham spoke out about the “transgender problem” that is impacting girls' sports around the country.

In a ruling on Saturday, the majority of a U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit panel refused to approve the Justice Department's request to lift a lower court's injunction relating to the Trump administration's efforts to clean up mail-in voting ahead of the 2026 midterms. SCOTUS Wire reported in an X thread on the details of the 2-1 ruling: Here's what the majority - Circuit Court Judges Gelpi and Rikelman - included in its opinion: The third member of the panel, Judge Dunlap, wrote a partial dissent: The lower court ruling came courtesy of U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, as my colleague Rusty Weiss wrote in June:

Approximately 75,000 noncitizens are summoned for jury duty in the Garden State every year, according to newly disclosed figures from the New Jersey judiciary.
The revelation comes as state officials are already scrambling to explain how thousands of self-identified noncitizens were improperly added to New Jersey’s voter rolls and how hundreds reportedly cast ballots.
You cannot make this up.
The New Jersey Globe reported that New Jersey processes more than one million jury summonses annually using records randomly selected from three state agencies: the Division of Elections, the Division of Taxation, and the Motor Vehicle Commission.

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, who has become a sensation since her pointing incident on the court went viral, was asked by an ESPN journalist how people related to her. This was Cunningham's response. Some may see this response as arrogant, but what it reflects is authenticity. Cunningham is unapologetically herself, and this is exactly what the world, and especially young girls, need.
Which is probably why her other response about whether biological men should be allowed to play in women's sports also turned heads. As our editor Bob Hoge reported, the leftist outrage was dialed to 11:

An Obama-appointed federal judge has handed Portland’s far-left political machine a major legal victory, denying the Trump Justice Department’s attempt to obtain police body-camera footage and internal records tied to allegations of anti-conservative viewpoint discrimination.
U.S. District Judge Michael H. Simon rejected the Justice Department’s motion to compel Portland officials to turn over evidence connected to protests outside the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility.

Regional foreign policy experts told the Daily Caller that reports the Trump administration may be weighing direct military action against terrorists in Mali appear credible. However, they said any intervention would likely be framed as protecting U.S. national security by dismantling terrorist strongholds, rather than defending persecuted Christians as the administration has emphasized in neighboring Nigeria.
Citing current and former U.S. officials, a Washington Post report published Wednesday said the administration is weighing military action in Mali, a prospect that seemed to catch the Malian government off guard. (RELATED: Here’s How Trump’s Houthi Headache Could Turn Into Full Blown Migraine)

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels said Saturday that they fired missiles and drones at Saudi Arabia in response to Saudi airstrikes on the strategic Red Sea city of Hodeida, in an escalation over vital shipping routes in the Middle East while the United States and Iran vie for control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, the Houthis’ military spokesperson, said in a prerecorded statement that the attack targeted facilities in the Red Sea cities of Yanbu and Jizan that belong to Aramco, the world’s largest oil company.
Saudi Arabia’s civil defense said alerts sounded multiple times early Saturday in both cities, but the kingdom didn’t comment further.

President Donald Trump’s intelligence community has concluded that Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is far more inclined than his father to pursue nuclear weapons, raising concerns that Tehran’s long-term nuclear ambitions may have hardened despite the devastating damage inflicted on its atomic program. The assessment, first reported Friday by the New York Times and based largely on intelligence collected before the current war, found Mojtaba significantly less hesitant than his father and predecessor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, about pursuing a nuclear weapon, according to U.S. officials briefed on the intelligence.

A Biden-appointed majority on the First Circuit Court of Appeals handed President Donald Trump a major setback Saturday, refusing to lift an injunction blocking key election-integrity provisions of his executive order in 23 states and the District of Columbia.
The three-judge panel denied emergency stay requests filed by the Trump administration and 12 Republican-led states, leaving in place a lower-court order that prevents the Department of Homeland Security from distributing federal citizenship lists and blocks the U.S. Postal Service from applying new mail-ballot requirements in the plaintiff states for elections held on or before November 3, 2026.

Former President Barack Obama posted on X in response to the attempted shooting of President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The post began with a familiar formula:
“Although we don’t yet have all the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting…”
And yet—almost instantly—the moral framing is already in place.
It’s a bit like a disciplined defense in football—the Left defends every blade of grass.
Nothing is conceded. No ground is given—not even in the first moments, when facts are still emerging. Every inch of interpretation is contested immediately.

It never fails to end this way.
Masquerading as left-wing populist socialists, they deny they are communists as they demand economic equality.
Adored and abetted by a fawning media, their avowed anti-Americanism ensures their status as the left’s latest cause célèbre.
As is said about a bankruptcy: it happened slowly, then suddenly.
Having acquired a measure of power, incrementally they accumulate more by ever-escalating and amoral tactics, all rationalized as benefiting the “people” by hastening them into the warm embrace of the collective that is the aim of the revolution. Ever so slowly, democracy and civil liberties erode . . .
The mask is ripped off.
The communist totalitarian state reigns.
