But don't worry. The European "intelligencia" are taken care of. Clarice Feldman in her excellent column, referenced on this site, mentions how the EU headquarters dealt with the heat wave this week. In their what I expect would be opulent headquarters, they shut off the AC on floors 1-7. But on floors 8-13, where the high ministers and grand poobah are enshrined, AC works just great. But if you live in Vienna, you can make money turning in your neighbors with AC. Gonna be great practice when the EU big shots reopen those concentration camps again.

The recent sweeping victories by Democratic Socialists in New York have political observers of both parties paying attention, although for different reasons. The Democratic Party appears to continue to abandon most of its traditionally reliable voting blocs. But while Democratic Socialists blather on about helping working people, there is one specific group of working people who may get hit the hardest by the new crop of socialist candidates, and it will determine where their support ultimately ends up. The leaders of one of New York City's most prominent labor union have spoken out about the Democratic Socialist wins in the Big Apple. Robert "Bobby" Bartels, Jr.,

The United Kingdom is having a hot summer. Granted, that's a little bit of an eyebrow-raiser in the U.K., which is famous for cool, damp weather, but it happens. Of course, many places see warm summer weather, and for the last few decades, people who live in the civilized world have had a great modern solution to hot weather: Air conditioning. AC not only makes life more comfortable, but for some people, like the elderly and people in poor health, it can be a lifesaver during serious heat waves. It's a lifesaver that's now being denied to Brits, because of the government's lunatic Net Zero policies.

Residents of a small Massachusetts island community are shocked and furious upon learning from town officials that they may not be able to fly American flags to celebrate the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday. As Fox News reported on Saturday, homeowners on Plum Island received a letter from the town of Newbury warning them last week that it had become aware of multiple “devices and materials intended to deter” protected shorebirds from frequenting beach and dune systems. These materials included “mylar streamers, flags, and reflective materials.”

On July 4, Americans will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. At the heart of that document is the proclamation that “all men are created equal” and “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” Today, many people think that belief in a Creator is a subjective preference based on their personal faith. But that was not the view of America’s Founders. Nor was it the view held by many of the thinkers who preceded them. More than two millennia ago, key Greek and Roman thinkers already argued that nature supplies objective evidence of a Creator.

President Donald Trump issued an executive order on June 25 directing federal agencies to expand support for regenerative agriculture and related farm practices. The order builds on Executive Order 14212, which created the Make America Healthy Again Commission in February 2025. It states that the Departments of Health and Human Services and Agriculture, along with the Environmental Protection Agency, have already committed more than $1 billion toward farm modernization and food supply security. The new directive sets policy to advance precision agriculture technologies, increase federal spending on regenerative practices, research, and education, and encourage private innovation through reduced regulation and public-private partnerships.

The statistics watchdog has formally intervened after two Oxford academics complained that the Covid Inquiry cited “highly uncertain modelling”. The Telegraph has the story: Two Oxford academics wrote to the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) to complain that in its latest report, the inquiry cited “highly uncertain modelling” with a “degree of confidence and authority that the underlying evidence cannot sustain”. Prof Carl Heneghan, Director of Oxford’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine and Dr Tom Jefferson, a Senior Associate Tutor at the university, contacted the statistics watchdog last month.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, celebrations of America’s history are building to a crescendo. With the Fourth of July just a scant week away, I thought I would return to a question I posed some years ago: Who is the most unfairly neglected American Founding Father? You might think that none can be unfairly neglected; so many books about that distinguished coterie have been published lately. John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Washington—whom have I left out? It has been a literary festival of Founders these last few years, and a good thing, too.

President Trump on Saturday threatened to wipe Iran off the face of the Earth after US forces launched strikes against the country for its violations of the 60-day memorandum of understanding and ceasefire. “It is very possible that they will never learn!” Trump said, noting that Iranian missile, drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites were hit by US aircraft. “There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started,” he continued. “If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!”

The first three days are always critical in a major disaster. Aid agencies consider those first 48 to 72 hours as crucial for retrieving people alive, though that can be extended if they have access to food and water. Venezuelan officials said 17 flights carrying more than 1,600 rescue team members had touched down by Saturday as rescue workers fan out in the most devastated areas. Approximately 6 million people are affected in the quake zone. Search teams from Mexico, the U.S.A, Brazil, El Salvador, France and other countries are now on the ground.

Their supporters were feeling their oats so much that they were even chanting, "You're next!" at House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries when he appeared on a TV screen at one of their watch parties. When Jeffries was asked about that and some of the terrible positions/statements made by one of the candidates, Jeffries couldn't even give a credible response, and just immediately deflected to Donald Trump.

Obamacare is expensive, unconstitutional, socialist, and bloated. It is also — surprise, surprise — riddled with fraud. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Mehmet Oz revealed the stunning number of Obamacare users who never provided a Social Security number, raising serious questions about the scope of fraud in the government healthcare insurance program. In a Saturday video, Kennedy and Oz updated the American people on efforts to uncover and root out fraud. The HHS secretary began, "The Obamacare marketplace is plagued by fraud, in large part because the Biden administration dismantled basic program integrity guardrails.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced that he will introduce legislation to increase the federal minimum wage to $25 an hour. If the legislation passes, it would be the first change to the federal rate since 2009. The Living Wage For All Act would require large corporate employers to implement a $25 wage floor by 2032, while other businesses would have until 2039 to do so. The bill would mandate automatic, continued increases of the federal minimum wage to two-thirds of the national median wage. “There is nowhere in America where a worker with just one dependent can

The decisive primary sweep by NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s left-wing comrades gave Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez such an ego boost that Democratic insiders predict it could spur a White House bid in 2028. The “Squad’s” queen bee may ditch her long-anticipated plot to unseat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for bigger game after three radical Mamdani-backed insurgents running for House seats on Tuesday defeated old-guard Dems, pushing the party even further left, the insiders said. “New York’s clean sweep was a political earthquake that shows voters generally want to shake up the system,” said Adam Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.

The Democratic Socialists of America have adopted a strategy to exploit the Democratic Party’s ballot access to boost their own candidates at the expense of incumbents, a plan which achieved remarkable success in New York City this week. The victory of two DSA-backed candidates and one former member delivered a shock to the Democratic Party establishment, which has begun to call for better policing of the party’s primaries against candidates who are only seeking to exploit it, not join it. “I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination,”

We all know the myth – to boil frogs, slowly increase the temperature so they won’t realize it until it’s too late to jump out of the pot and save themselves. This summer, it appears the frogs are starting to feel the heat. Along with the anger at open borders, this may finally presage the end of the green nonsense and the politicians who are destroying their countries by promoting this hogswallop. Like clockwork, it gets hot in summer in western Europe. And like clockwork, the morons in the European ministries and media blame climate change for their own failure to face reality and make proper provisions for adapting to it.

Labour has urged British farmers to stop raising cattle and grow lentils instead as part of a Net Zero push. GB News has more. The Government published its highly-anticipated ‘Farming Roadmap’ on Wednesday, outlining its long-term vision for Britain’s agriculture sector. The 71-page document outlined the Government’s intention to help British farmers wind down high-emission farming – including cattle – and move towards “growing oilseeds and pulses” for planet-based products. “Farmers will play a critical role in delivering this transition by adopting practices that reduce emissions while sustaining productive, commercially viable businesses,” the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) wrote.

Watch the reaction to the primaries in New York last week and you will hear a word that would have ended a campaign a generation ago: socialism. Candidates now say it with pride. Commentators warn, accurately, that the platform beneath it, abolishing borders, defunding the police, seizing private property, is something far more radical than the politics most of the public grew up with. Here is the question almost no one is asking: where did these ideas come from? They did not appear overnight on a ballot. They were taught. For two decades, they were cultivated, rewarded, and treated as obvious in American classrooms, first in our universities and then

Companies have been dialing back their LGBTQ+ Pride messaging since President Donald Trump took office last year, and analysts say that contributes to a less divisive marketplace. “This is both a market correction and a cultural correction,” Allen Mendenhall, a senior adviser for The Heritage Foundation’s Free Enterprise Initiative, told the Daily Signal. “After years of performative corporate activism, companies are rediscovering that their customers—particularly families—do not want firms serving as vehicles for ideological agendas.” “Businesses are increasingly rejecting pressure from activist investors and corporate bureaucracies in favor of listening to consumers and respecting longstanding moral and religious convictions,” he added. “Top-down cultural engineering is losing its grip.”

California's lunatic "wealth tax," it seems, is to be on the 2026 ballot. It's one of the dumbest ideas in the history of taxation, advocated and planned by some of the most economically ignorant people to ever turn oxygen into CO2, which doesn't mean plenty of lefties won't vote for it. The once-Golden State's impeccably coiffed Governor Gavin Newsom, with a note of panic in his virtual voice, wants Californians to know he's voting "no," and why he wants them to vote against the measure as well. Billionaire Democratic kingmaker George Soros and his son Alex spent a staggering $102.8 million in the midterm election cycle — making the family chief architects of the party’s seismic shift toward the radical left. With the November elections still more than four months away, George Soros could shatter his own spending record of $128 million set during the last midterms four years ago, when he was the biggest single donor. “Money talks, and Soros money says the most insidious, unconstitutional, costly tax hikes in American history are on the table,” said Douglas Kellogg, state projects director for Americans for Tax Reform.
