The first drones intended to stop school shootings from Campus Guardian Angel are set to go live Friday at Deltona High School. Florida’s legislature has appropriated $557,000 to have drones in the Broward, Leon, and Volusia school districts, with Deltona High School being the first. Georgia has also appropriated $550,000 for drones in five of their high schools, yet to be decided by the State’s Department of Education. “Georgia went from first conversations to funding a pilot through the legislature in maybe 120 days,” CEO and co-founder of Campus Guardian Angel Justin Marston told The Center Square, which is lightning speed for Congress. Many other states are interested in piloting these drones.

While, Yes, Drones have changed the face of warfare (and not for the better, IMHO), I can't see this as being effective against most school shooting incidents. Although maybe it would reduce the problem of 'cowardly' cops on scene, afraid to act , either for their own safety, or worried about getting sued because someone thought they made a wrong decision. The nerd on the joystick in the remote command center / gaming room (or worse yet, the 'Skynet' AI computer controlling it ) will have fewer compunctions . All I know for sure, is that I'm glad I'm not a helpless kid in school these days.

Somebody, not a robot, a real person, has to monitor and control that drone. An on site, CCW trained teacher with a 9mm would be more effective, because they would see the threat up close and personal, not a picture from a distance. The whole country is going to he!! with the desire to do everything by robotics/ electronics from a distance.

What, the drone is going to run up and down the hallways??? I can see it crashing into kids, or kids knocking them out of the air...just arm the teachers and save the money...must be democrap controlled school boards...

Liberal icon, former Rep. Barney Frank, who is dying of congestive heart failure, spoke out from hospice to deliver a stark warning to Democrats for swinging too far to the left on social issues — and said it will cost them with voters. The 86-year-old former congressman, who is famous for fighting to legalize same-sex marriage and pushing to regulate Wall Street after the 2008 financial meltdown, hopes his lefty bona fides will help his message resonate with the far left. “It’s precisely because I have been on the left that I have undertaken this,” Frank told CNN’s “State of the Union”

Federal prosecutors will seize James Comey’s book sale profits after he was indicted on two felony counts on charges related to his Trump assassination Instagram post. The Justice Department issued a forfeiture notice because prosecutors believe Comey posted the ’86 47′ Trump threat to help with sales of his forthcoming book, “Red Verdict.” “Upon conviction, the defendant shall forfeit to the United States any property, real or personal, which constitutes or is derived from proceeds traceable to the said offense,” the indictment read. James Comey posted his threatening ‘8647’ Instagram post shortly before his book launch last May.

Democrat-dominated Ann Arbor is raising eyebrows and garnering widespread mockery for removing all of its anti-crime watch signs across the city to be more "inclusive." The move even prompted a New York City Council member, Republican Vickie Paladino, to say, "They’re just insane." The Michigan city announced on Tuesday that, at the direction of the City Council, it completed the citywide removal of more than 600 neighborhood watch signs. In a statement, the city explained that "removing the signs aligns the city’s environment with its commitment to inclusive, evidence-based public safety." The decision to remove the signs was made in a unanimous 10-0 City Council vote in December,

Rep. Keith Self has introduced legislation that would effectively outlaw cousin marriages by denying federal recognition and benefits to such unions. “Cousin marriage—which is permitted under Sharia—is fundamentally incompatible with American culture and values. It should not be allowed anywhere in our country,” the Texas Republican told The Daily Signal. “The vast majority of states have already banned this third‑world practice. It’s time for Congress to finish the job and enact a nationwide prohibition.” Marriage between close family members is legal, with few or no restrictions, in 18 states and the District of Columbia. Self argues that blood‑related marriages are common in certain ethnic and cultural groups, with rates reaching

The lawyer for White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen gave an absurd reason why the CalTech grad should be allowed to walk free pending trial, claiming he was “not a danger to anybody” — despite charges that he attempted to assassinate President Trump. Defense attorneys claimed that Allen, 31, was not prepared to carry out a mass shooting in the room where Trump, first lady Melania, and most of the top members of the administration were in attendance, because he had a pump-action shotgun, his team wrote in papers Wednesday. “Mr. Allen has no criminal history — not even prior arrests, which alone would rebut the presumption of detention,”

Grassley said the texts demonstrated a “total disdain for equal justice” and an apparent willingness to target people based on their religion.

A large Roman Catholic diocese pushed back at criticism Friday after Pope Leo XIV appointed a former illegal immigrant as a bishop amid heightened tensions between the Vatican and Washington over refugees and ICE enforcement. Leo nominated Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala as bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, which covers all of West Virginia. Menjivar-Ayala originally arrived in San Ysidro, California, smuggled in a car trunk after making several prior attempts as a teenager to flee guerrilla war-torn El Salvador. The bishop has also been critical of increased immigration enforcement measures, calling them a human rights concern and responding directly to critiques of the church from fellow Catholics in the Trump administration ...

We were originally referred to as "baby boomers," the generation born in the immediate aftermath of World War II. From 1946 to 1964, the U.S. Census Bureau tells us that more than 76 million babies were born. Why 1964 as a cutoff point? That's the year that the birth control pill was introduced in the U.S., and the birth rate began to decline. Today, we're simply referred to as "Boomers." We grew up in a period of massive wealth creation, painful social change, and the specter of nuclear annihilation hanging over our heads. All of that impacted our worldview and led to a mixed record of accomplishments

Is Islam good for you? Is it actually beneficial for individuals and societies? These questions have seldom, if ever, been asked. Most people in America today, having been the unwitting victims of a quarter-century of propaganda, assume that Islam, like all other religions, is peaceful and benign, beneficial to both individuals and societies, albeit “hijacked” at the hands of a “tiny minority of extremists,” the likes of which we see in all religious traditions. Yet the constant drumbeat continues: there are jihad attacks around the world virtually every day, and increasingly in the United States. All of their perpetrators insist they acted in accord with Islamic teachings. There is a distressingly

The U.S. Embassy in London issued a security alert on May 1, 2026, urging American citizens in the United Kingdom to remain vigilant after the UK government raised its national terrorism threat level to “SEVERE.” The alert follows the April 29 stabbing attack in Golders Green, a north London area with a large Jewish population, which authorities declared a terrorist incident. The threat elevation signals that a terrorist attack is now considered highly likely, per Counter Terrorism Policing. On April 30, the UK’s Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre raised the national threat level from “substantial” to “SEVERE.” Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood confirmed the change,
