The gunman who killed two people and wounded 14 others at a packed Austin, Texas, bar was possibly motivated by the US attacks on Iran, sources told The Post.
The FBI is investigating the shooting as a possible ideologically motivated act of terrorism, the sources said.
The killer, who is a US citizen from Senegal, had a Quran in his car and clothing described as Islamic garb when he opened fire on Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden [snip]
The gunman has a history of arrests in Texas, and is believed to have lived in New York City from 2000 to 2008, the sources said.

The pajama party is over.
Tampa International Airport set the internet ablaze on Thursday after its official X account declared war on what it called a full-blown fashion emergency unfolding at the gate.
“We’ve seen enough. We’ve had enough. It’s time to ban pajamas at Tampa International Airport,” its post read.
After bragging about previously “banning Crocs,” the airport said they were moving on to address an “even larger crisis: Pajamas. At. The. Airport. In the middle of the day.”
“The madness stops today,” the X post read.” The movement starts now. Help Tampa International Airport become the world’s first Crocs-free AND pajama-free airport. Do your part. Say no to pajamas at TPA.”

Baltimore, Maryland’s watchdog agency is suing Democratic Mayor Brandon Scott for allegedly withholding records on potential abuse of public funds.
Scott is hampering officials’ “ability to adequately investigate complaints of fraud, financial waste, and abuse in City government,” Baltimore Inspector General Isabel Cumming’s office claimed Tuesday in local court. The lawsuit follows Scott continually barring Cumming from accessing payroll information on the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (MONSE), which Scott created in 2020 to reduce gun violence through community organizing, according to multiple reports.
At the state level, excessive overtime and other missteps among government employees cost Maryland taxpayers millions of dollars,

World Economic Forum CEO and President Borge Brende said he was resigning Thursday, after an investigation was conducted into his ties to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Brende, a former Norwegian foreign minister who became WEF president in 2017, announced his decision in a statement following the Justice Department's release of Epstein files that showed he had three business dinners with the disgraced financier and had also communicated with him via email and text, Reuters reported.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as President and CEO of the World Economic Forum. My time here, spanning 8-1/2 years, has been profoundly rewarding,"

Wild video shows masked ruffians blatantly attacking a police cruiser while an officer was inside during a chaotic street takeover in Maryland.
Video and witness accounts show drivers swarming the intersection of East West Highway and Connecticut Avenue shortly after midnight Feb. 22 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, blocking traffic in all directions and performing high-speed “donuts” as onlookers stood in the roadway.
Montgomery County police said it started around 12:39 a.m., when a large caravan of vehicles tied to takeover activity was spotted heading toward the Silver Spring central business district.
Officers moved to monitor the group and closed several intersections to limit access and protect the public.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is facing blowback after unveiling a new $239 million rehabilitation center at the infamous San Quentin prison — complete with a cafe and sweeping views of San Francisco Bay.
Newsom attended the opening of the new San Quentin Learning Center, with the goal of “proving that rehabilitation and public safety go hand in hand,” he said at ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday. The center, which features Scandinavian-inspired design, also includes podcast studios, recording spaces and a store “to normalize social and vocational experiences.”
Critics of the amenity-filled center blasted Newsom for the redesign, saying prisons shouldn’t be cushy.

A planned protest at the Buchenwald concentration camp memorial on the anniversary of its liberation is igniting backlash in Germany for a simple reason: Activists intend to turn a Holocaust commemoration into a contemporary political demonstration.
According to reports, radical organizations are organizing a demonstration at the site on April 11 under the slogan “Keffiyehs in Buchenwald,” accusing the memorial’s management of “spreading Israeli propaganda” and not being “hostile enough toward Israel.” Among the groups involved are the student wing of Germany’s Left Party, the anti-Israel group Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East, and the German Communist Party.
The date is not incidental.

Sometimes, the silliness of the Democrats is jaw-dropping with their pot-banging protests, performance theatrics, and rote opposition to every single policy President Donald Trump proposes. Whether his ideas are good or bad for the country does not play a part in their decision-making; all that matters to them is that they thwart him at every turn. [snip] Democrat socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani has taken the duplicity to new heights, however, combining idiocy with hypocrisy in just one statement regarding New York City snow removal. You can help out, the mayor said Saturday — just be sure to bring two forms of ID and your Social Security card:

A group of white teens were cleared of hate crime allegations after a black Virginia Tech professor whined to cops he was a victim of a racist attack when they blasted rap music and dumped snow near his home.
Dr. Onwubiko Agozino, a sociology professor at the Virginia university, claimed in a Feb. 10 police report that eight white minors racially targeted him when they rolled up to his Christiansburg home blaring offensive music, throwing ice blocks, and hurling a flurry of racist jabs, including the N-word.
He told authorities the “profane” music included “racial slurs,”

A Virginia high school suspended more than 300 teens who ditched class and stormed off campus during a student-led anti-ICE walkout last week, according to reports.
Woodbridge High School handed three-day suspensions to 303 students who walked out of class last Friday to “express their views” and protest federal immigration enforcement, principal Dr. Heather Abney told parents in a letter obtained by 7 News.
The demonstration, which was not backed by Prince William County Public Schools, eventually spilled off school grounds and onto the streets, forcing local police to manage traffic and oversee the hundreds of rebel students involved.
