The United States Commission of Fine Arts voted Thursday to approve the final designs of the White House East Wing Modernization project as the Trump administration aims to kick off aboveground construction in April.
A final vote was not expected until the Commission of Fine Arts’s (CFA) next meeting in March, but Trump-appointed CFA Chairman Rodney Mims Cook Jr. made the motion to accelerate the federal design review panel’s approval process. "Our sitting president has actually designed a very beautiful structure,” Cook commented before calling for a vote. “The United States just should not be entertaining the world in tents.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) revealed at a townhall meeting on Wednesday that Democrats don’t just want to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), but they are actually planning how to dismantle the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) entirely.
“What I will say is that there is an easier conversation happening today than six, seven years ago when I got to Congress, about what we need to do with ICE, which is to abolish it,” Omar told her audience during the townhall meeting. The Democrat congresswoman further revealed, “There is a lot of conversation about what the dismantlement of the Department of Homeland Security should look like.”

The latest business to pick up and leave the high-tax, high-regulation, high-crime nightmare of Illinois may be its iconic professional football franchise.
The governor of Indiana, Mike Braun, announced Thursday morning that a "framework" had been reached for a final deal that would move the Chicago Bears about 20 miles south from Soldier Field to Hammond, Ind. "Indiana is open for business, and our pro-growth environment continues to attract major opportunities like this partnership with the Chicago Bears," Braun said. "The State of Indiana moves at the speed of business, and we've demonstrated that through our quick coordination between state agencies, local government, and the legislature

Just over a month into Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s term, one of the nation’s largest defense contractors is moving its headquarters out of her state.
Boeing announced Wednesday that it will relocate its Defense, Space & Security headquarters to St. Louis, where the division was based from 1997 to 2017. The company previously moved the unit to Chicago and then to Arlington in 2022 during the administration of former Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin.
The move represents a significant shift for Boeing, which employs roughly 18,000 people in the St. Louis region. Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth joined Republican Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe and Sen. Eric Schmitt at

The Democrat party ignored Christians but highlighted Muslim and Chinese traditions in recent social media posts.
Breitbart News reviewed the party’s Facebook, Instagram, and X profiles but did not find any references to Ash Wednesday, which was February 18.
Instead, the leftist political party highlighted Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in which Muslims participate in fasting, according to Britannica.
“We wish a reflective and peaceful Ramadan to all who observe. Ramadan Mubarak!” the Democrat Party wrote on X. In regard to the Lunar New Year, which is celebrated by the Chinese, the party said,

On February 17, U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman announced a mistrial during jury selection after deciding that the T-shirt under a blazer worn by defense attorney MarQuetta Clayton, which reportedly featured civil rights leaders, might unduly sway potential jurors.
Nine Antifa members were scheduled to face federal trial at the Eldon B. Mahon U.S. Courthouse in Fort Worth on February 17 for their alleged involvement in a 2025 ambush on an ICE detention center in Alvarado, as The Dallas Express reported. This doesn’t appear to be the first time Clayton has worn controversial attire. The Dallas Express obtained photos of Clayton on

The U.S. Postal Service system of handling and delivering mail ballots often leads to rejected or late ballots, election security advocates contend.
The Election Integrity Network issued two recent reports on the handling of mail ballots by postal employees and the use of regional mail processing centers across state lines. The reports claim that current practices could either result in delayed ballots or confusion over postmarks during an election.
In the 2022 election, 549,824 mail ballots were rejected, about 1.5% of all absentee/mail-in ballots, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission found. Common reasons for rejected ballots include non-matching signatures and missed deadlines.

NYPD Harbor Unit officers described on Wednesday the incredible moment they rescued an injured bald eagle clinging to ice in the Hudson River.
Freedom rang for the stranded bird on Tuesday afternoon when four eagle-eyed cops (pun intended) spotted it floating on some ice in the frosty waters. The officers were patrolling the area to check the ice flow when they sensed trouble and immediately made their way to the animal, which was squawking in pain.
“We used our binoculars, and we realized that it was a bird. As we got closer, we realized it was an American Eagle, and at that point, we had to kind of figure out what

Tucker Carlson claimed that he and his staff were detained at an Israeli airport — but US Ambassador Mike Huckabee said it was merely a routine customs screening.
Carlson — a vocal critic of US-Israel policy who has been accused of using antisemitic language — has traveled to Israel to interview Huckabee, but refused to leave the Ben Gurion Airport complex.
“Men who identified themselves as airport security took our passports, hauled our executive producer into a side room and then demanded to know what we spoke to Ambassador Huckabee about,” the podcaster and ex Fox News host said in a statement to The Post. “It was bizarre. We’re now out

At least a dozen House and Senate Democrats will skip President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address next week to instead attend a rally on the National Mall organized to protest the first year of his second term.
Several progressive leaders will use the “People’s State of the Union,” hosted by MoveOn and liberal media outlet MeidasTouch, to present an alternate vision for the country as Trump takes the podium for his second address before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night. That list includes Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), considered a 2028 presidential hopeful, as well as Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX), the chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

A lot of people are outraged over this case of an elderly woman who killed a family of four while driving on the wrong side of the road and far above the limit, got away clean, and then moved her property around to avoid civil liability.
A woman who prosecutors said killed a family of four while speeding down a residential San Francisco street will likely face no jail time or community service mandates after pleading no contest to four felony counts of gross vehicular manslaughter.
Mary Fong Lau, 80, changed her plea from not guilty to no contest Friday afternoon and
