Democratic New York Rep. Gregory Meeks screamed at Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday for over a minute while he attempted to answer his question.
Meeks confronted Bessent on a firm in the United Arab Emirates that secretly bought a stake in President Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency company and did not allow Bessent to answer whether he would hold a complete investigation into the matter. The congressman continued shouting at Bessent and demanded that he stop covering for Trump.
“All you have to ask is yes or no. No, Congressman. All you have to ask is yes or no,” Meeks said.
“The [Office of the Comptroller of the Currency] is an independent entity.

It's bad enough that non-English speaking commercial truck drivers in the U.S. don't know the rules of the road or how to read highway signs, but this case out of Los Angeles should put you on high alert about how not knowing English can put Americans' very liberty at risk. Or set sex perverts free.
The existential threat of English-free commercial truck drivers — mostly given their CDLs by Washington state and California — has resulted in a lot of dead Americans. The case of the UCLA gynecologist, accused of sexually abusing his patients for years, however, portends more nuanced problems ahead. We're now all witness to what happens when

In a press release, the EEOC said that it has "filed an action in federal court to compel NIKE, Inc. to produce information related to allegations that the company discriminated against white workers, including as a result of NIKE’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion-related 2025 Targets and other DEI-related objectives."

President Trump’s budget office is instructing the Department of Transportation and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to claw back more than $1.5 billion from blue states on grounds the money was being mishandled, officials told The Post.
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) told the DOT Wednesday to cancel more than $943 million, while the CDC was ordered to nix at least $602 million meant for California, Colorado, Illinois and Minnesota.
An OMB spokesperson said that the states were being targeted for “waste and mismanagement” of taxpayer funds.
Illinois was slated to receive the largest of the transportation-related grants, with $100 million provided to the state’s Environmental Protection Agency to build

Rural Texas residents claim that a Muslim city is being built in their backyard and accuse local officials of being very secretive about the deal.
Kaufman, Texas, residents didn’t think much of it when Kaufman Solar LLC bought a massive parcel of land in 2022. However, now that a mysterious buyer from the Middle East is looking to purchase an estimated 2,000 acres of land right next door to the planned solar farm to establish a sustainable city, they are worried about the impact.
Residents first became aware of the potential new settlement through a Facebook post from a concerned citizen Friday, Jan. 30. “Serious question and maybe one of you

The madman convicted of laying in wait with an assault rifle and trying to kill President Trump at his Florida golf course was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.
Florida federal Judge Aileen Cannon threw the book at Ryan Routh after he was convicted in September for the Sept. 15, 2024 assassination attempt at a dramatic verdict reading where Routh’s daughter stormed out while cursing and Routh tried to stab himself with a pen.
Prosecutors argued Routh should get the maximum penalty of life imprisonment, claiming he still hasn’t accepted responsibility for trying to kill then then-presidential candidate. “Routh remains unrepentant for his crimes, never apologized

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) lashed out at Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent — telling him at one point to “shut up” — after a tense exchange over inflation. Waters suggested that President Trump’s tariffs were inflationary and immigration enforcement was tanking housing affordability during a House Financial Services Committee hearing about the state of the US economy. “Will you be the voice of reason in the administration and urge Trump to stop waging a war on American consumers?” the California Democrat pleaded. “Yes or no?" “You seem confused as to the definition of inflation,” Bessent began before Waters interrupted him to re-ask the question.

State Attorney General Letitia James said Tuesday she is launching a dedicated team in her office that will keep careful eyes on ICE agent activities around New York.
According to James, the operation — dubbed the Legal Observation Project — will be tasked with gathering information stemming from what she called “significant enforcement actions” throughout the Empire State while also sending personnel to observe and document ICE and protest activity.
The attorney general said these observers will serve as neutral witnesses, recording information that may inform future legal action. Their efforts will help ensure that accurate, real-time information is collected and preserved, and that any violations of law are identified

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested an illegal alien with an active deportation order who was just one week away from becoming a New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) officer.
On Tuesday, ICE officials confirmed to Fox News’s Bill Melugin that ICE agents arrested 46-year-old illegal alien Larry Temah of Cameroon in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to ICE, Temah had recently been recruited to become an NOPD officer and was just a week away from graduating from the NOPD police academy at the time of his arrest.
A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson told Melugin:
This illegal alien from Cameroon, Larry Temah, is not only breaking the law with every step he takes

President Donald Trump’s Small Business Administration (SBA) is stopping the issuance of small business loans to foreign nationals, requiring that a business be 100 percent owned by a U.S. citizen or U.S. national to receive such a loan.
This week, the SBA published a memo requiring that, beginning next month, applicants for the agency’s primary small business loan be American citizens or American nationals.
“… effective March 1, 2026, SBA hereby revises Standard Operating Procedure 50 10 8 Lender and Development Company Loan Programs guidance related to businesses owned by non-U.S. citizens,” the memo states:

The Canadian province of British Columbia (BC) has ended its experiment with legalizing hard drugs, and the consensus among both public officials and citizens is that the program was a complete failure.
“This pilot was designed as a time-limited trial with ongoing monitoring built in so we could understand what was working, what wasn’t and where changes were needed. However, the pilot hasn’t delivered the results that we hoped for,” BC health minister Josie Osborne said on January 14 when announcing the impending end of the program.
BC legalized possession of up to 2.5 grams of nearly all drugs, including “hard” drugs like heroin, in 2023.

New countryside management plans are moving to make England’s most famed and picturesque rural areas more diverse lest they become “irrelevant” to the rapidly emerging new Britain, a report states.
National Landscapes, a group of government-designated areas of outstanding natural beauty are being targeted with diversity plans because they are perceived as being a “white environment”. According to a report by The Daily Telegraph, a proposal for diversification in one of these Landscapes, the Malvern Hills — the beauty of which is well known to have inspired the great compose Sir Edward Elgar — bluntly states that the area has to change because it suits white people who value
